    I'm genuinely impressed with this Flashlight 🔦 . I did some testing regarding the 1300 lumen claimed output. I don't have a precision testing rig for evaluating Lumen output, but my result were in the ballpark of what they claimed, so I'm good with Manker's numbers. Keep in mind that this thing is just 91.6mm (3.61") long and 20mm (0.79") in diameter. This means it will fit on a Pocket Rack (TM) ua-cam.com/video/gupaoGKZTfc/v-deo.html perfectly AND gives me the benefit of the added features that I did not have on my previous flashlight. I've added it to my regular carry and we'll see how it performs. For more info on this flashlight as well as the other items mentioned in the video, please download this PDF bit.ly/MankerLight . **Note that I was sent this flashlight for a review and was not compensated for doing so. I constantly find myself overthinking little things, tweaking constantly, fixing or changing things over time (a function of my OCD, I’m at least self aware). It’s refreshing and very pleasant to see your setups, with all the little details taken into account!

      @chrismartin1255 - Thank you for your post. Yes, that's one of the reasons why I enjoy doing these videos. I get to constantly evaluate what I'm carrying. It becomes a mental challenge as to how I end up using the tools that I carry as well as determining what is really important to carry. Focusing on the purpose, which for me is fixing things and making things better for the people around me, defines my EDC. For others it may be completely different, but I think figuring that out is important.

    Wow. That’s a lot of light out of such a small flashlight. Today’s flashlight technology is just amazing. Great video.

      @SigogglinJack - It really is. Plus the ability to swap in a regular battery when the Lithium ion cell runs dead, is a very cool bonus feature. Thanks for your post.

      @VinlandAlchemist - Yeah, I know the feeling. I started messing with this back in April of this year and had no idea it would progress into what it is today. It's VERY addicting, when you start to get into all the variations and tools and custom mads and..... Well, you know that already :-) . Thanks for posting.

    Rovyvon Aurora A8 is my favourite! It's like SAK in the flashlight world 😀

    • @EarthlingEDC
      @EarthlingEDC  6 місяців тому +4

      @pengovan - Thanks for bringing that Up. The A8 has got a big following in the EDC community. The big differentiator for me is the max output when you compare the two. The Aurora is 650 Lumens and the Manker is 1300 max. The Aurora is 2/3rds the length of the Manker, so it does beat it on the small form factor. I'm going to ue the Manker for a while and see how it develops as part of my EDC. Thanks again for posting..

    Nice video. It’s worth mentioning that this light has mode memory; after off for 2 seconds it will turn back on in last mode in use. Also looks like a tritium slot (or glow rod) cut into the tail switch. Did yours come with any little glow rod pieces? I’ve got the Manker Striker Mini, which is an absolute tiny beast of a thrower also in the 14500 format and it came with a pack of small multicolored glow rods presumably to glue into the slots if so desired. I’m impressed with the Mini Striker I have and it looks like this one is another winner.

      @JediKnife -Thank you for mentioning the mode memory function. There is a tritium slot in the tail switch indicated in the manual, but no beads were included in the package that I received, so I was not sure if this was an optional accessory or they just left it out of the box. I'm actually surprised that you don't hear more about Manker flashlights. The brightness for a flashlight of this size is really impressive. Along with the ability to exchange the 14500 with a AA battery is a big deal as well. Thank you again for your post.

    Been enjoying the videos!
    The only issue for such bright lights is the low sustained runtime before step down and rapid discharging of the battery. Have you considered a headlamp (might fit the short side of your rig - but not sure what you'd do with the strap) for EDC? I find them to be very versatile and I like the Fenix HM50R V2 for it's overall performance. The max output is less at 700lumens but has redlight/redflash additional modes. I keep the headband in a pack but mostly use the light handheld but also have the option of pocket clip. The LD15R has a different pocket clip but magnetic tailcap and no included headband.
    Can be recharged but compatible with CR123s too.

      @lancewatanabe2733 - Thank you for your post. There are some small, low profile lights that are used as headlamps that might fit nicely on the Pocket Rack (PR). I'm going to explore this further in future videos. Based on some of the custom Pocket Rack designs that have been submitted on our UA-cam community page www.youtube.com/@EarthlingEDC/community I'm thinking that finding tools (including lights) that are appropriate for this type of organizer is something that our community might be interested in, so I'm going to try to address those needs in future videos as well as continuing to document the improvements on the design of the PRs and the bands and how the whole concept can be incorporated into a person's EDC. Thanks again for taking the time to post.

      @@EarthlingEDC Looking forward to it! I'm inspired by your DIY project. If I don't want to go through the effort of 3D printing which is your primary recommendation - ABS or Kydex sheets?
      I'm using this as inspiration to outfit a 10L sling bag organizer with both elastic loops and velcro holsters as a vlog-type camera bag for small camera gear. I just can't find the perfect bag so this idea will go a long way to help me perfect the one I have.

    • @EarthlingEDC
      @EarthlingEDC  6 місяців тому +2

      @lancewatanabe2733 - I would go with Kydex, it strong and slightly easier to work with than the ABS. Before you drill out the the holes for the anchor cleats that run along the edge, be sure to use center punch where you want the holes to be. Even slight variations in the location of the cleats are very noticeable since the cards are so small. Take your time drilling cutting and sanding and it will turn out nicely. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

    The Peak Industries Eiger model flashlight will do both types of batteries as well, just the AAA format, which makes it thinner. They've been doing it for years, and bonus, they are made in the USA.

      @EarthlingEDC  6 місяців тому +3

      @brassedc - Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Because of your post, I reached out to Peak this morning to see if I could arrange for a review of their Eiger Model flashlight. It looks like it does have very similar features in a smaller format light. More to follow on this ... Thank you again.

    Hi can you please tell me where you get the pouch in your video. This a great idea thank you.🎉

    • @EarthlingEDC
      @EarthlingEDC  6 місяців тому +1

      I got it from Temu for $2.98 with free shipping see: share.temu.com/KidovxFR1PA. Keep in mind that pouch is just large enough for one of our new mini Pocket Racks. The Larger Rack will not fit into it. However, this one might be a perfect fit for the larger Rack share.temu.com/L3X9nkinD0A ($5.39 with free shipping) but it does not have a belt loop. Best of luck and let me know how it works out. (I'm not affiliated with Temu. Just posting these to help out)
