Guys i just bought this drone and its amazing! The gps on this drone is incredible. And you dont have to worry about losing it too. It has a return back home function
So i've been watching a few things carefully, let's start with the obvious: the camera quality is not as promised (maybe there is an option n the app itself to increase the quality but as far as i know there isn't) The second part is that it's battery life goes down very quickly. ive been watching the battery life and it goes down by one percent (%) every 12 seconds (On average) Third one, and I do find that fine since it's a cheaper drone, is that the camera is shaky and wouldn't do well if I were recording for a vid or something. It's a toy afterall and i love the implemented features
This is great for newbies. I like your step through while using it. But I also figured out the recording as well after a great deal of NOT recording to the card. I thought I was recording to the card but wasn't. Great job. Thanks.
Looks like they need to do a little work to improve this one. Looks like it just fell out of the sky without warning at the end and wouldn’t let you override the landing. Good thing you weren’t over water. Looks like a nice bird otherwise. Thanks for the great review. I never miss one of your reviews.
Icantdrive55 same thing happen to mine...now my SG-900S is broken and unable to fly(still waiting to repair)...its fly 393ft above the ground and after i push RTH button,its descend unstable and suddenly loosing power and crash...now its only hover 2-3 minutes beforw its autolanding itself...
The best review on UA-cam! SO many have flipped their noodle because they can't get this drone to takeoff. Calibrate if it needs it and you're set! I bought this one for my daughter and she's great at using it and I am still very impressed...
Even with its app/camera -related issues I think I prefer the Visuo XS809HW I just watched you review Q101. It's nicer looking, has a better TX and range too. It's really good to see more easily-affordable GPS drones coming along though, it should make for less dangerous flying by beginners and less flyaways too.
It's not bad. Big advance for quads of this type. It's probably worth the money too. _Given the interest in regulation changes this may be all we are allowed in the not too distant future_

First connect the app to the drone, then place the drone undisturbed on a flat level surface. Then click the settings icon (that gear icon in the upper right corner). Select the "Joystick" tab. Then scroll up the list until you see "Calibrate accelerometer". Click on it. Make sure that you also "Calibrate magnetometer" if you want to prevent it from hitting that tree again. Watch the video at 4:50 to see how to do it.

Hi, I have a sg900s drone and I have a problem using it. The drone doesn't fly. The engine works but the drone isn't coming off the ground. How can I fix this?
Move and hold both sticks down and out to start the motors. Once the motors are started, then press the takeoff button to leave the ground. But if you know this, and have been doing such, then the next question, has it ever flown before or is it brand new and has never flown yet?
Does the manual say LW FPV? Cant get that app to work. My manual says "HFUN", but that app doesnt give any information other than flight control.. Perhaps i got the F196 instead? :(
I have a ZTE phone from Walmart that goes through straight talk. I have tried every app it says and says it is not compatible with my phone I was able to get in Chinese but cannot for the life of me figure out how to switch to English. PLEASE HELP
Straight talk does not allow for wifi on their phones.... you need a company with wifi available to the phone.... I went through the same thing. you can also purchse portable wifi.

There are both 720p and 1080p. The one demonstrated in the above video is 1080p. However 1080p seems to be currently out of stock. Video is recorded to a memory card.
Did you first do the compass calibration as shown in the above video? You will need to do such for each flight. After you do the compass calibration, monitor the number of satellites received is shown in the top center screen of the app. Wait until you have at least 11 satellites before taking off.

Hm .. Tello has great smooth video and would be great for indoors. But no SD cards totally kills it for me. Check Hubsan H216A X4 DESIRE Pro, it's just over $100.
If you want to go cheaper, you should check C-me ua-cam.com/video/LVfWHrt2smM/v-deo.html .. that's exceptionally cheap for the fact it's basic GPS and video quality. There is ton of drones around $50, but there is no GPS and typically no other form of stabilization, and video quality is poor.

When i press the button again, the button turns white again, but i cant find the video, neither on the phone nor on the sd-card. Yes, the camera lens can be adjusted and tilted down to avoid view of the props.

That's called voltage sag. I'm applying throttle at those moments to climb higher, drawing extra power, and causing a momentary sag in the voltage.

The Simtoo Fairy is not much more expensive. I own it and think its way better than the Tello as well as the Hubsan, which has brushed motors.

Recommend trying with a different SD card. Make sure that the card is 16 Gb or less.
