I have been commenting off and on for three years now. I finally have managed to get my feeble weeble wobble body in enough motion that a couple of days ago, I got my squirt of endorphins and experienced the 'runner's high'. I had to make myself stop working before I over did things, however; it was so trippy to finally hit that level of exertion / work. It's been years and years since I felt that. Thank you so much for keeping me inspired to be more than an old bump on a log, Cori!
The ropes are durable and just like the ones at the gym. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxTFxba6lNeHrZaHoY_LXe6ZzmMfaipnwu Caution: I bought the 50 feet ropes and they are long and heavy so make sure you have the space (I do have the space). If I was to do it again I would probably get a shorter version as 50 feet (25 feet each side) is a little long.
I remember watching your Battle Ropes video a few years ago and that really opened my eyes to what I was missing. Stoked you've done an update, my rope had been dragging a tire around the street, I'll need to start some battle ropes work again!
I’ve tried battle ropes one time at the gym, just to switch it up, and MANNNN it was HARD! Especially for someone who’s disabled like me, it was pretty difficult, but it was fun! I only did it for 5 mins, bc that was all I could handle. I didn’t know that there were so many variations. If I go back to the gym, I’ll totally try the sitting down on a bench or the floor one! ☺️
I was just at the gym today and I never noticed the ropes before, I think I'm going to use them when it's my upper body day. Thanks for all of your tips I enjoy your video.
Love battle ropes!! Nice description of options for workouts. Variety is the spice of life. I think adding just one session of battle ropes a week will improve my running!!
So helpful - thanks! This was one of those things I really wanted to try at my gym but didn't know where to start or even what benefits I should be going for. This was a great video for beginners
I actually own battle ropes but wasn't really sure how long and how often to use them? I'm glad that you showed that they could be used in a seated position. Your videos are so helpful and informative.
I love battle ropes, especially when I'm frustrated and angry. I love aggressive workouts and battle ropes are my absolute favorite, that and wall balls
I really enjoy doing battle ropes- added them to my routine workout during the pandemic. They became my new best friend! I enjoy your videos- they helped me a lot!!!
I do ropes twice a week, love how it wears me out. 5 back surgeries (2 of them fusions), 4 knee surgeries, 3 shoulder, two ankle, and neck fusion this past November...battle ropes I can still do. Thanks for the additional variations. I usually do 1 minute of three different variations, rest for 30 to 45 seconds then repeat 5 times. Then I mix it up for 90 seconds. I probably should change that all up. Then I move on to something easier like the stair machine. Looking forward to including your suggestions...thx!
You know, I never considered the battle ropes as cardio. I always thought of them as a strength builder. Now I'm going to incorporate them into my workouts. I've been consistent and now I'm making progress but I think I need to change it up a bit so the battle ropes will help.
I shattered my radius and fractured my ulna on Christmas. Unfortunately after 2 surgeries and regular physical therapy, I still have pain and weakness and swelling. So can’t do a lot of my regular workouts. Could you please do some videos for someone wrist injuries/fractures that avoid heavy use of one arm. Thanks
Great video cori! Thank you for sharing and zooming in on technique as well as differentiation. I often include them my workouts of my Bootcamp trainings. Great for outdoors! For beginners, regression, I do recommend different lengths or rope thickness (note to self to get a lighter one 😉 ) so one can choose lightweight as wel. In my class I see many of my trainees shrugging their shoulders because it’s too heavy. But they’re great workouts to get the heart pumping. Thanks 🙏🏻
I love your workouts, and I especially love the battle ropes. Is there anything else I can do that would be as affective because I don't have access to battle ropes?
I assume battle ropes come in different thicknesses? Because I find the ones in my gym really difficult to hold for the duration of an exercise. Maybe it’s my grip strength, but I’m sure I’d find it easier with thinner ropes. As it is, I avoid using them even though I can see how fantastic they would be in helping with my fitness level.
I'm getting frustrated because I'm a 6 foot 250 lb guy (a lot of blubber, though) trying to exercise and I cannot last one minute with my 1.5", 50 ft. battle rope. Perhaps I am going to hard? The most I can do right now after 1 month is about 35 seconds before arms give out. I do not understand how everyone is moving the rope for so long non-stop! I am trying to get in shape, a beginner to exercise, and I have your old Udemy course! I can't even do the 1 minute intervals! 1st interval I last about 35 seconds and second attempt after 45 secs rest i only can do 20 seconds!
Unfortunately I bought a battle rope that is way to thick and heavy that not even a man like me can create any waves with it. I tried different motions but it just moved the first couple of inches of the rope while the rest lying still on the ground. After using it only 3 times, it's been gathering dust in the closet.
I see during the exercises you perform your always in a straight position, usually when I do these workouts I have a posture facing the floor (as I´m dying to finish the set), is this something I need to fix? is it important?
Not wrong just different. I tend to use that grip more for stagecoach. But for longer intervals of work, find this grip easier to work your hands down the rope.
You gave a very bad cue by saying "to keep your body tall and chest pressed out"... This leads to excessive and unnecessary extension in the back... And in most of this video you are not doing this cue, you are keeping your ribs down and body slightly flexed as you should... Not "chest pressed forward" which is a bad cue that can lead people in the wrong direction... And 8n your other video on battle ropes you show more novice people doing the ropes and they all keep their ribs down and upper back slightly flexed, because this is the proper position... Not arching the back to push the chest out

A great video. I've never used them. Thank you very much Cori.
One of my favourite workout!
Brutal arm and shoulder work out 💪 Thank you for sharing Cori ❤️👏

be straight
Cory I swear you are built like a action figure, you look really good. Most girls that compete don't look as good as you.
haha thank you!
Girly girl girl...
Brilliant! I’ve been wondering about battle ropes; very helpful and insightful.
I love these! So versatile and hella fun to use

Awesome tutorial! Rope workouts look like a real (but great) challenge!

Thank you for talking about Battle Ropes. I was curious about them and wanted to learn more about it. Perfect timing!
I really enjoy doing battle ropes- added them to my routine workout during the pandemic. They became my new best friend! I enjoy your videos- they helped me a lot!!!
Never tried battle ropes, always wondered what were, and what their purpose was for working out. Thanks.

Love that you're using ropes to stay in shape and work around any limitations!
I love battle ropes! They're so much fun and get you a great workout!
Good reminder 👍🏼
I look like a baby dear learning to walk on ice doing this exercise. So spastic.
I love battle ropes! Thanks for the ideas.🥰
very powerfull move!

Wow, I started doing the battle ropes and they're really hard. I can only last a few minutes
Great video! I was just looking for a fun way to challenge my clients with battle ropes. Keep up the great content

Hope you're continuing to do that rehab to rebuild as much as possible!
Thanks you for the informations!!!❤
Is there anything that I should know to work with battle ropes on grass in my yard?
Great video cori! Thank you for sharing and zooming in on technique as well as differentiation. I often include them my workouts of my Bootcamp trainings. Great for outdoors!

I must try this
Love the battlerope
Battle ropes are great though. You can be as creative with them as you can.
I LOVE THE BATTLE ROPE!!!! My instructor has 2 of them that we use, one is 40lbs and the other is 15lbs, try it.....its great!!!! I'm 60 years old 👍💪💪
Very hard exercise!
I love your workouts, and I especially love the battle ropes. Is there anything else I can do that would be as affective because I don't have access to battle ropes?

How far should I have my knees bent when doing the alternating arm workout?
My knees should be bent and back straight when doing the workout correct?
What is the weight of the ropes you use in the video?
Is that a 40 or 50 foot rope you use?
I'm getting frustrated because I'm a 6 foot 250 lb guy (a lot of blubber, though) trying to exercise and I cannot last one minute with my 1.5", 50 ft. battle rope. Perhaps I am going to hard? I have no access to ropes
I don't have battle ropes at home, so I use dumb bells. 5 or 8lb weights and go through the motions. ??? Is this close to the same?
I see during the exercises you perform your always in a straight position, usually when I do these workouts I have a posture facing the floor (as I´m dying to finish the set), is this something I need to fix? is it important?
You have mechanical advantage if you're using a similar technique as you see demonstrated.
@@a.lame.username. which is that mechanical advantage? I´m new with the ropes and not very familiar.
You're a jumping bean! I couldn't get that much air with a jet pack.
I use icepick grips...is that wrong?
Not wrong just different. I tend to use that grip more for stagecoach. But for longer intervals of work, find this grip easier to work your hands down the rope.
Wow! You sound like Kait.
Thx. I ve learn more about this toy 😂❤
Where can i get these ropes from and which size?
Amazon has options and I like the 50ft
@@redefiningstrengthOC Thank you
Do you do coaching?
Yes I do :-) I'm a coach first and foremost!
You need to be mindful big time of your back using these things.
You gave a very bad cue by saying "to keep your body tall and chest pressed out"... This leads to excessive and unnecessary extension in the back... And in most of this video you are not doing this cue, you are keeping your ribs down and body slightly flexed as you should... Great info... it is so much harder than what it appears.🦾🦾 Love your bra... brand please.
