Thank you Pat for bringing this interview to us. Leonard Marshall was one of my all-time favorite Giants and I am glad he is getting the recognition that he has earned. He is a humble and great professional!
Great interview with Giants legend Leonard Marshall. Brought back so many terrific memories. He's a shining example of the kind of man who makes the world a better place! I can't thank you enough Pat, this podcast was outstanding.
Niceeeeee interview! Leonard Marshall is one of my favorite all-time Giants. Always give back to the local community. I used to bump into him in Hackensack all the time!
Pat I knew you were an old soul . I appreciate you interviewing the legends from the Tuna ERA Really means the world to me ❤💪. I can tell it’s important to you . Many folks your age have a tendency to shine the spotlight only on the present day NY Giants . Funny TRUE Story Pat . I am a transplanted 55 year old New Yorker who moved down to Boca Raton , Florida Circa 1998 for Business & Personal Reasons that have worked out for me . So back in 2012 I purchased a Black Lexus 470 which at the time was the Cat’s Meow if you will . I am at a light getting ready to make the right into my gated community and I hear a dude laying on the Horn and it was BIG LEONARD MARSHALL screaming … “ How you like that whip ? I like that whip and am considering 1 of those . He was in Brand New RED Corvette . Little did he know I Bleed Blue … We talked about about past and present NY Giants for 1 hour on the side of the road . So Gracious and Generous with his time . GEM of a dude 👍 Thanks again for bringing Leonard on your Show . Speaks Volumes you were able to bring Phill Simms & Leonard Marshall on your show . You’re extremely creative, thoughtful, and Intelligent in your interview approach . Impressed with your NY Giants history knowledge relative to your age . You have a special way of connecting with people which is a special gift . As a kid my pops took me to all the practices at Pace . ( very cool u knew that ) I went to SUNY ALBANY Circa 1986-1991 . So mad BIG BLUE started practicing in Albany after I graduated . MY POPS recently passed away October , 2023 at age 88 . My best memories are with my Pops enjoying our NY GIANTS from 1979 through 2023 . I mark time through the 4 NY Giants Super Bowls I watched with my Dad . I cried when the NY Giants won their LAST SUPER Bowl 2012 …because I knew that could be the last SB I experienced with my POPS 🙏❤️🏆. Talk about synchronicity Pat . As I was “ DONE “ writing about my Late Dad … Leonard Marshall got emotional about his late Dad from your HOF question . WOW Pat Thanks Again for your hard work and Professionalism. My Mom who is still alive 🙏 once told me . What ever you do in life you must work harder than everybody and do your job better than everybody. ….. Pat …. I am anointing you the “ GOAT “ Sports Beat Writer in the entire NFL 🏆 I love Gary Meyers & Paul Schwartz but each generation improves .Dan Duggan can’t carry your jock strap Pat . ( sorry some old school joculairy )
Wow, Joe, thank you so much for those great stories and the praise for my work. Means a lot! More to come from the Giant greats during this 100th anniversary season and beyond on Talkin' Ball, you can book it!
That relentless play in which he ended up ending Joe Montana's San Francisco era is legendary. That play he was knocked down rushing the QB and he cleaned up on the missed Lawrence Taylor sack with a clean hit crawling on the field and getting up and hustling to get a clear clean shot at Joe Montana.
Leonard Marshall is DA REASON Why I LoVE my GMEN!! Toughness personified!! We need more GIANTS like him!
Marshall /LT/ Phill Simms are my guys .
Long time Giant's fan .... love Leonard Marshall!!
Great interview, one of the greatest moments I spent with my dad was watching the 1986 Giants win the Super Bowl. It was on a 19 inch TV
