I would rather have her drop off the kids to CPS than to unalive her entire family. It reminds me of that one woman who unalived her two kids then jumped off of a bridge. At least the kids are going somewhere unharmed because this could have easily turned into a violent nervous breakdown. I know they will criticize her for having multiple baby daddies. But that can't be undone the children are already here. It's hard to take care of one, let alone five. I am glad that some type of structure or solution came out of this situation.

Whenever someone gets desperate to drop off their kids, I think of what happened to get to that situation. Because it's usually due to lacking to funds, housing, mental health or not having community to help. I know people love to blame the women but I've known women who've had people guilt them into having or keeping the kids. Either the guys themselves OR family members when the women I know said, "I want to have an abortion or do adoption." Those same people who were cheerleaders for giving birth now are silent when she's crying and asking for help with babysitting.

@kaybrown7733 As a survivor AND someone from a broken home with 1 parent who was a narc, accountability is key. It is ABSURD to have five children then give them away. She could have stopped at 2. Just because it is hurtful, doesn't mean it isn't the truth.

@abellabarbie Yes, she could've stopped at 2, but neither I nor you know where her mind was at the time. As you should know, being a survivor, we don't all come away from that in the headspace to make clear mature decisions. Lots of factors are at play, and I will always give some grace to a fellow survivor because I wasn't always ok. It took many years for me to become the person I am today, and I harmed myself and others along the way. That's accountability! It's easy to armchair quarterback someone else's life. It's hard to look back and be honest about your own life!

Even if the first 2 were due to sexual assault, she had 3 more by 27? I’m glad she didn’t hurt her children but we need to start promoting abstinence. You literally don’t have to have sex. The consequences are too high to feel entitled to sex and boyfriends/girlfriends when you have children you can’t care for 🤦🏽‍♀️

I have 2 children. I have been abstaining since my second pregnancy 10 years ago. I will not let just any and every man in me. I raised my children and got a degree. Half the time I was in school, I was living in a shelter. People need to take accountability and responsibility and stop looking for help from everyone who wasn't effin' their baby fathers. I try not to judge because yes, the men are effin trash and 100% to blame. However, to keep doing it? Now these women want to be child free to get themselves together to give their children better? The children may not respect that because what will their experiences in the system be, while you're "getting yourself together"? She's selfish. She gave them away because she wants her freedom. I’m childfree but stories like these matter AND the reason why I’m as upwardly mobile in my life currently. Especially post roe v wade. Society wants women to have kids in a nation that isn’t family centric or has resources for them. People always yell “representation matters” until it’s hard truths being put on display. Young women need to see this harsh reality of when you have more kids than you can properly care for and partner with the wrong men.
The mother did what she was supposed to do. At least she’s holding herself accountable for her mistakes and not taking it out on her kids. People love talking ish from a safe place but get silent when someone asks for actionable solutions. Was she supposed to let her kids go hungry, neglect, or abuse them? Do yawl know how many stories there are of people pimping out their kids etc?! (I live in a city with a huge sex trafficking problem). Even if family wanted to help many people don’t have the means to care for extra people due to inflation. For the people who are super judgmental, volunteer at some of these shelters and connect with some social workers. Learn from other people’s mistakes young ladies because it’s not fair, but it costs women way more when we get it wrong.

Sounds like she said the first two kids were from grape. So that coupled with the environment she said she grew up in “the hood” and possible assault she needed help but if those in her environment have a certain mentality how could they help her. She was a child herself and people respond to assault in different ways. This is not to absolve her from her responsibility but she is only telling pieces of her story. Don’t throw rocks in a glass house. An interview doesn’t equate to money and this could be a testimony she needs to tell but doesn’t know how to yet.

There is such a beautiful lesson for young women to learn from her situation but the way the story is told we only hear a story unless you’re intelligent enough to pick out the parts of where she went wrong and how she possibly could’ve done better and children don’t have those skills by the way she’s not helping anyone she’s just telling everyone her story and probably this part of the story is to explain why she made the decision she did so she doesn’t look so bad more like damage Control

You have no IDEA how PROUD of this BEAUTIFUL young lady I am. In the Bible at Ephesians 6:4 it clearly states that "FATHERS" are SUPPOSED to be raising and bringing up these children. It's NOT a MOTHERS job to be raising children, especially NOT ALONE. She is one of the GREATEST Mothers on this planet because a lot of mothers UNALIVED, or did MAJOR HARM to their children because they could not cope or handle doing a job GOD didn't DESIGN women to do....again, especially alone. She is a FINE EXAMPLE for women all over the WORLD. Instead of damaging or harming your children, it's best to get the HELP and ASSISTANCE that you need, even if it means CPS. This mother is taking care of business by getting her EDUCATION and doing a LOT OF SELF-CARE so that she will be in a better frame of mind and in a better position to do right by her children. I LOVE her so very much. May Jehovah, and Jesus Christ HELP her along the way. She's going to be O.K.

I think this is a better decision as they have a better chance of having their needs met. I bet this was hard, and it is also hard to raise children on your own with no help at all. She didn't kill the kids she admitted she didn't want to handle them. Leave her alone. That's what social services are supposed to be for. And if they are a danger to children, then we need to fix that. People just find it easier to try to change the woman than the systematic problems that got her and her kids where they are.

Oh dang, 2 came from an attack, that's rough. Wait, so she gave them up and now, she wants them back. Did I get that right? Hmm, I would need proof that she has things in place, so she doesn't put them up again. We need to find these men and hold them accountable. Upbringing and mental capacity plays a major role in the way a person makes decisions. This concept needs to take priority when accessing anyone. Everyone looks at women, but she didn’t get there by herself.

I support her decision because there are women out here that can’t even feed their children. Children are straight starving going down the street asking people for food. I know this for a fact because I had a few kids outside of my house knocking on the door because they were hungry and I’m like Where is your mother? It was about 4 of them. One was a friend of the kids. She was like I already ate before I came out.
So this is why I support her decision because I’m tired of seeing little kids with snotty noses. Hair uncombed, clothes not fitting properly, shoes to tight. At least she’s not trying to continue to drag them into poverty.

That's with zero child support, I want nothing to do with someone who made me fear for not just my life, but my families as well. I don't want someone that emotionally unstable near me or my child i do not want to be the parent to find out my child becomes gone forever when this person already revealed they have murderous intent. Anyways, I am able to buy and provide for my child a lot more as well since playing house wife without the marriage is no longer a stress in my life. I have a real job now, and I still am able to keep up with my home, it's easier to keep up with my home. Which still blows my mind because I'm working now I wasn't even working back then and it felt impossible. I actually even get more sleep these days too and for once I can say I wake up feeling energized these days.
