Hey Angelo! Thanks for your great videos! I was wondering if you could help me with something related specifically to Debitum. I started using this platform 6 months ago (sorry I may have forgotten to use your referral link). Currently I have an issue with it as it shows that I'm getting an all time return of 11.56%. Sadly this is not true and I don't know where they got that number from. The way I'm verifying this is that the last three months I've been getting around 4 euros back on my balance (in total each month) and it's easy to check that 11.56% of the 2400 EUR that I've invested is something above 20 EUR per month (I stopped adding money about 2 months ago when I noticed this was suspicious). So, I'm wondering how you are checking your returns on that platform as their user interface is not friendly and their claims don't match the balance numbers. To be honest I'm starting to think that it's a scam. Again, thanks a lot for your videos and keep doing the great job you always do!
Thanks for the video Angelo. You have a similar strategy with my Advisor Zoeller, and her strategies helps newbies more.
Please how can i connect with Zoeller, i have heard about her.

Ok thanks.
Trading and stock market offers so many opportunities on all the markets, all you need is a good mentorship as a beginner, i will be forever grateful to you Zoeller, I'm surprise seeing others talking about her here.
There are in all of history 2 possible best days to invest in index:
1: 1st day index was invented back in 1975 by jack bogle
2: today
You are welcome
You're on the money. Trade Republic just issued a statement that they dropping the interest to 3.75%
Yes, on June 12th, the exact same day the ECB does 👌
@@AngeloColomboFi think this is great from TR, really fair to all of us.
I just invest the moment I get the money to invest. The quicker it is invested, the better, because it will have more time to grow.
Seems this is correct according to the video. That's good to know.
It's not necessarily true. If you invest when the market is high you may end up with long lasting losses. You will have to wait for a long time until your positions recover and even more to have some profit, because you need to take inflation into account. It's always good to have some cash
stocks =/= bonds
@@alexander.dontsovand as this is not predictable this statement is absolutely useless in practice
I invest manually every week. The biggest chunk of my portfolio is in etfs (VWCE, VHYL, TDIV) but I’m switching to a more aggressive/risky approach: I created a mini pie that has the top 10 holdings of VUG. Need to grow faster because I started investing too late 😅… wish me good luck 🤞
Sounds interesting. Could you explain with more detail? Thank you!
signed up to IB using your link Angelo - grazie :)
Just one note: I don't see how Bitcoin can be risky, unless you consider volatility a risk (which shouldn't be to a real long-term investor)
Hello Angelo,
Thanks for your content.
I followed several of your videos where I appreciated your approach of maximum simplification of the portfolio using a unique ETF.
However, in truth you can cover the same worldwide distribution using cheaper ETFs than VWCE combined with each other.
Having a simple portfolio is an advantage but you don't necessarily have to take the concept to the extreme by using a single ETF, even at the cost of paying a higher TER.
For example you can have 90% SWRD (ter 0.12%) + 10% EIMI (ter 0.18%) for a total ter of 0.126% with more of 40% of saving compared to VWCE.
Furthermore, maintaining the same percentages as the VWCE, the two ETFs are self-balance.
I know, it's still more work though. And what if Vanguard lowers its fees in a few months? I did mention an even cheaper option in my previous video: ua-cam.com/video/Jyg1mkDXTI4/v-deo.html
Thanks for the video Angelo, great content!
Would you mind sharing in a future video how you and your wife manage the investments as a couple? e.g., do you have a single account, 2 accounts, joint account? I wonder how can we make sure both have access to the funds, for example, in case of death. Thanks in advance.
Bro, Einzelaktien sind der Schlüssel zum Erfolg und Vermögen
Cool story bro 😉
Jokes aside, there are many different ways to build wealth and most people (me included) are much better off just buying the index as a whole vs. speculating (and spending a ton of time) on single stocks. But you do you!
Angelo contenuto super interessante!
Congrats for your job, well done
I invest once a week automatically as I’ve thought this would be the “best” option. You make me consider changing this 😅
If you get paid once a week and invest without commissions (eg. Trade Republic) it could make sense, but if you pay fees each time and actually earn your money once/month then it likely doesn't. Glad I got you thinking 🙏
Thanks for the video Angelo. I still have difficulties in choosing ETF… this time I am specifically looking for etf for Japanese market or yen, distributing. Maybe u could do videos on specific country etf? Just a thought 🙈as yen is now really eroded but still believe in Japanese economy!
Hi Angelo, I invest weekly on ETF and Cyrpto
Any tips in what ETF to invest for Irish residents?
Hi Angelo. Thanks a lot for your great videos. I am hesitating between SPDR MSCI etf and vanguard FTSE all world for a long term investment..can you recommend Which one is better in your opinion and if I should hold one or two ETF with monthly payment. Thanks a lot
My pleasure! I still prefer the Vanguard FTSE All-World (VWCE), but either of the two is an excellent option to hold long term! You definitely don't need both, as they're 95% the same in what they cover.
❤@@AngeloColomboFi
Same here!
My plan is to drop in 40k.Walk away and come back in 20-25 years for a nest egg
I will add an additional amount per month from my wages also when I have it.
Thank you Angelo 👍👍.
Hi Angelo! I love your content, and how well you explain everything. I remember you saying in one of your videos that in 2017 when you started investing you were already laying on some cash. I'm in a same situation so I am wondering, if you let's say wanted to invest 10000 at the begining and then continue with monthly investments, did you invest all 10000 at once, or maybe splitted it between 10 months/weeks? What do you think about those two options? Thankfull in advance!
Hello Angelo! Great video once again, thanks! I have VWCE as well, but from now on I wanna distribute just a small % to targeted ETFs. On my watch out list there are some specific ETF-s, like SEMI or NDIA from IShares, but they are all on different stock exchange. First of all, what do you think about them? And the second question: Does it matter on the long run, where i buy my ETFs, Milan or Stuttgart, Amsterdam, or even out of EU, like London?
I don't like bets on specific sector ETFs (eg. s
SEMI) personally, unless you're willing to hold them for >10 years, even if they were to go out of fashion at some point. Some extra India exposure could be interesting if you feel that their share in VWCE is too low.
Either of those large exchanges should be fine, as long as you trade during regular market hours (eg. 9-17:30 CET) and work with limit orders. London might require you to exchange to USD first before buying though, which might cost some extra fees
We invest on a fixed day more specifically the day that the last of us received their wage. So we can combine our amount to purchase at lower fees.
And it's manually unfortunately because the platform just does not offer that functionality (yet).
Dear Angelo, great video as always. I was wondering what is your opinion about Warren Buffet's comment that the markets are about 40% overvalued. Also, he is sitting on billions of USD and basically " timing the market ".
Hi Angelo,
Thanks for the Video. I would be curious to know your thoughts on investing in Bond ETFs vs keeping money in Trade Republic at 3.75%?
Great video, thanks!
please do a video where you show your p2p strategies
I love your videos and the fact that you are not being sponsored by any institution. So far I am investing in the Vanguard SP500 acc etf monthly. Lately I started investing a small amount in the All world as well. However I have seen that the Sp500 ones expense ratio is 0,07% while the all world one is 0,22%. Isn’t this difference quite a lot especially since both ETFs share lots of common shares?
It's true, but are you buying for 30-40-50 years? Can you garantee USA will outperform the rest of the world? All you need is 1 dumb president.
Angelo, being "all in" VWCE makes you too vulnerable to the sequency risk, doesn't it? To avoid that, some do bucket strategy, others do bond ladder, others just build up a big cash position on 5 ~ 7 years before retiring... do you pretend to fund a transition portfolio like that on the future?
Hi Angelo, really appreciate your content! I have one thing that I find hard to answer and nearly nobody on UA-cam talks clearly about. It is the currency and stock market to pick depending on your residence. I know you buy on IB in Euros. Does that mean one should preferably buy in the currency of residence? For example I live in Switzerland, use IB and buy the MSCI World in Swiss Francs, ist that the right way? And what if I move to the US should I keep buying in Swiss francs when I receive my salary in USD or should I consider a US stock exchange? And what happens than to my portfolio because I have already Al lot in the msci but in Swiss francs and nothing in usd... or does this matter at all? In the end it is still the msci, right?
Hope you can bring light to this basic questions but it's what stresses me a bit 😅. Thx
Hi Angelo! What overlap between 2 etfs is too high in your opinion? For example All world + Nasdaq 100
All Nasdaq 100 companies are included in the All-World, so it only makes sense if you want to allocate even more to those stocks
Can you do a more specific video on the P2P?
Hi Angelo, your content is really great.
I wanted to ask, what application are you using to track your investments on different accounts?
Is it safe to connect your accounts to these type of tools?
I'm using Portfolio Performance, where I enter everything manually: www.portfolio-performance.info/en/
I then export csv files from there to Getquin, to have it look a lot nicer: angelo.fi/getq
I would assume Getquin is safe, but I'm also paranoid when it comes to these things 😅
@@AngeloColomboFiI am doing the same, but I skip your first step and just add all the transactions manually to Getquin. I also use this app to track my wealth, since you can manually add all other types of assets.
Well that's a lot easier! I was using Portfolio Performance before Getquin was even out, which is why I had all my old data there and started doing it that way :)
How about if I am dollar cost averaging daily in etfs and I max out my Roth too soon in the year? What can I do to keep dollar cost averaging? Should I be doing that on a regular brokerage rather than a Roth? Thanks
Sadly I'm not well-informed enough about all the details on investing from the perspective of a US resident (I'm based in Austria).
Is it good to buy on the week end?
Why do you prefair interactive broker instead of trade republic? If trade republic is cheaper?
Hi Angelo, nice video!!
I have a question. I bought last month, for the first time, the ETF VWCE (stock DE) (200€, and 1.25€ fee ), now I am going to buy again this month, 200 - €, MARKET - Good until Cancel; but, before buying, when I click on preview, it gives me the following message: "Available converted to base: 2.49 EUR Cash needed for this order and other pending orders: 204.61 EUR". Why is that? Can you help me understand?? Should not be again 1.25€ of fee? Thank you!
Best day is now.
Yesterday
Hi Angelo. Thanks for another nice review! What I find confusing is the saving plan costs mentioned at Trade republic. Where are those costs coming from?
My pleasure! Seems like you missed this recent video of mine :)
ua-cam.com/video/Wq0ygsuPmQE/v-deo.html
@@AngeloColomboFi I did watch it while doing other things. I missed the part about my question. Thanks 🙏
No worries, I often watch videos on the side while doing other stuff as well 🙏
Hmm.. Purchasing at fixed day each month even if its in maximum price? Why not investing when price is decreasing?
You're trying to time the market, which is easier said then done. What if price increases after (the market trends upwards, so regular all time highs are something that's normal) and how much is your time looking at charts worth?
If we want to invest in crypto, do you reckon we invest in the crypto ETF or just crypto directly on platforms like eToro ?
We can't buy Crypto ETFs in Europe, only ETPs/ETNs, which sadly carry some counterparty risk. eToro certainly wouldn't be my first choice, why not use an actual low-cost crypto exchange like Bitvavo (what I use)? angelo.fi/bit
Ciao Angelo,
I have a question for you
In all your P2P lending platforms, do you have any investments in projects in default?
Grazie e continua cosi'
Yes, on Lande 8 loans are in the default/recovery stage right now, but since they're backed by collateral I'm expecting them to be fully paid back incl. interest.
And on Mintos I have around 2.500€ that's currently overdue, but the vast majority of it is expected to be recovered.
Hi Angelo, thanks for the video! Did I understand correctly that you buy bitcoin exposure through trade republic? I'm based in the Netherlands and didn't find such option
Buying cryptos in the Netherlands do not work through Trade republic
@@ercansavci3647
Sadge
I actually use the Netherlands-based crypto exchange Bitvavo myself: angelo.fi/bit
That's because I like having full access to my crypto and to be able to withdraw it to my hardware wallet as well. The fees are also lower.
For people that like to have everything within their brokerage account, Trade Republic is simply an easy way to do that. But it's possible it's not available in each country!
Hi Angelo, thank you for your videos. I have a doubt that I can't find anywhere, maybe you can help me. I want to invest in etf but I don't understand if I should invest only on etf that say Euro instead of USD. I'm from Spain and I have trade republic. I'm just starting with that. Also, the fact that there are several S&p 500 it's very confusing. If you could help with that or make a video about it it would be awesome. Thanks a lot!
The fund currency itself is irrelevant (doesn't change the value of the stocks within the ETF) and you can buy/sell the ETFs directly in € on Trade Republic. I would skip more expensive, Euro-hedged ETFs.
The Accumulating SPDR S&P 500 (search for SPYL) with an expense ratio of only 0.03% could be worth looking at!
Hi Anglelo, Can you buy bitcoin and ethereum on Trade Republic? If so, can you explain how?
Yes, just search for it in the app. If you can't find it, it's possible that it's not available in your country (seems to be the case in NL for example).
Which portfolio analysis tool are you using?
Getquin: angelo.fi/getq and Portfolio Performance: portfolio-performance.info/en/
I think isn't a good idea to invest in emerging countries, they are socially and economically unstable countries, corruption, wars, people emigrating, dictatorships. Furthermore, if the US enters into crisis it will affect the entire world, but if other countries are in crisis, it will not necessarily affect the US. I stick with developed countries 100%
Yup, also, developped includes countries when they develop enough: (China and mexico are getting in), it's also cheaper.
What's your take investing through Revolut?
Not a fan compared to IBKR and Trade Republic, as far as I'm aware you can't easily transfer shares to another broker if needed.
I also prefer for my broker to be strictly regulated by a top tier regulator eg. BaFin in Germany, a country with deep capital markets compared to Lithuania (Revolut).
Hi Angelo, when you said that an ETF covering the global stock market has a positive expected long term return of 7% per year on average, may I ask you if this percentage is accounting for inflation or not?
I'm counting with 7% p.a. nominally in an environment with "normal inflation" (eg. 2%), more if inflation is higher (so real returns of >5% p.a.).
My actual returns have been higher so far, but I prefer being a bit more conservative in my expectations. These were the long-term returns for the MSCI World since 1979 for example: curvo.eu/backtest/en/portfolio/world--NoIg6g9gTgNgJiANMUBJAogBkwIQCwAyArAJoCcAHAMxICMAuo0A?config=%7B%22withTer%22%3A%22false%22%7D (scroll down to "impact of inflation")
Nominal annual growth rate: 10.31%
Real annual growth rate (inflation-adjusted): 7.13%
@@AngeloColomboFi I think you meant "less if the inflation is higher", right? I think if the inflation is higher it should mean your real returns are lower, and that is why you prefer being more conservative.. am I correct?
No, I meant I expect higher nominal returns if inflation were to remain higher, so that real returns (post inflation) are still >5% p.a.
@@AngeloColomboFi Thank you for clarifying!
Why do you not buy bitcoin also in IB to simplify your investments further? IB also allows you to transfer it to an external wallet... Is it more of a strategy of exploring and following the evolution of different platforms?
I haven't tested it myself yet, as I wasn't able to get trading permissions for it on IBKR. Did you (including the transfer) and are you based in Europe?
@@AngeloColomboFi so far I’m using IB only for ETFs but I’ve noticed that bitcoin is available there and was wondering if there was some downside to it… I will try to request permission and see what I get 😁 Yes, based in Europe
Alright, please let me know about your experience then!
@@AngeloColomboFi got this message (probably same as you):
“One of the following errors occurred while trying to request trading permissions.
• This account is not eligible to trade this product.
• No trading permissions can be found for this product.
• The contract has either expired or an error has occurred.”
Yeah, perhaps they're only available for US clients
Hi, what I don't understand is IBKR fees. Is this 1.25 euro only for recurring investments in ETFs as I just bought 10 shares of FWRA and the fee was 2.75. My plan is tiered.
double check if your account is set to margin
Most likely because the "home exchange" the ETF is listed on is BVME (Borsa Italiana) and not IBIS (XETRA), which comes with an extra 1,2€ exchange fee + 0,265€ clearing fee. You should be able to reduce the cost to 1,25€ by buying the shares via a recurring investment!
why the all world etf and not developed
Diversification
Yes, I just don't want to ask myself in a decade or more if I made a mistake not including massive emerging economies like India in my portfolio. I'd rather own it all and not have to think about it, than to potentially have any regrets in the future.
@@AngeloColomboFi But developped also adjusts, and includes countries when they get richer, (Mexico and China are included already)
dont you think thats better options than 1%saveback of TR?
No . 1% into growing money means the 15€ can transform into THOUSANDS with time .
Nothing comes even close to it
@@ElliottPiano i own a FINOM card that gives me 3% for a max of 10 euros p/m
That 1% is basically cashback on money that you spend on their savings plans. It is a nice additional thingy.
Not without having to pay a monthly fee for it and keep in mind you're still getting the full ECB interest rate (4% p.a.) on your money sitting on the account. Feel free to share a better alternative though. Finom is definitely not an alternative, it's a business account where you pay a monthly fee to get any cashback at all.
👍
Hmm so less allocation to btc
Btc isnt an investment. Its not an asset. It doesnt produce anything. Its gambling and hoping the next person will pay u more and so on
@DarkoFitCoach exactly.
Stop confusing investing and speculating !
BTC is a highly speculative asset and should be treated that way: Either have no allocation at all or only a small % of your portfolio with the willingness to lose most of the money you invested there if it doesn't play out.
It could either continue performing very well (with major crashes in between) as it has over the past 15 years or it could go to zero.
