1:26 😂 I love her reaction. Like she and the others didn't know the lycans would pop out. Just so the director could really capture their moment of fear.
When you realise that the only thing stopping the werewolves from taking the fortress was that their reduced intellect gave them difficulty coordinating, meaning they remained divided into smaller packs, so only a few would go near the fort at a time. As soon as they came into contact with lycans, who gave them the tactical awareness they'd been lacking, they formed their packs into an army literally overnight and completely annihilated the vampire stronghold with barely any losses.
This was why I even went to freaking New Moon. I was told there would be werewolf on vampire violence and when I saw this movie sometime later I thought “this is a franchise that delivers”
Viktor was like yeah we out. Viktor didn't have the numbers if he did he wouldn't have retreated remember he engaged in the fight personally until it was absolutely clear it was a lost cause
@@lordjake2350 - 10 to 1 is a ratio. In other words.... for every 10 vampires there were 100 werewolves. For every 100 vampires there were 1,000 werewolves and so on. It is a ratio.
@Cosmic Guardian - I didn't think the movie did vampires justice. You would think the superior intellect of the Vampire would decimate the beastly werewolves. Vampires aren't slow either but they sure were in this movie. Very slow and dumb. I thought Vampires could climb walls, jump hundreds of feet, hang from ceilings, etc. In this movie only a few of them could fight at all. Definitely biased for the werewolves.... not fair. And I'm not saying the werewolves were dumb or were supposed to be dumb. I think some of them at age could retain some intellect but Vampires should always be much smarter and faster. And definitely great warriors too. And another HUGE point.... How could there possibly be that many werewolves in that area without killing every single living thing on the continent? 🤣🤣🤣 There would be no cows, no farm animals, no deer, no birds, no rabbits, no mice and they would eat each other. I guess I'm too critical but I like movies that make SOME sense.
You know what’s interesting? This movie shows that werewolves were everywhere during this century, and the coven struggled to keep the problem under control, but by 2003, they seemed to be critically endangered, and then extinct; I wonder how the vampires managed to kill then off over the course of the centuries?
Lucian wanted peace and he wants to protect what lil remains of his clan... And Raze was like a brother to him which is sad that he died an uncool death just by Victor twisting his arm.
It was a set up by Lucian and Kraven to make the vampires think the Werewolves were dying out so they wouldn’t be ready when the Werewolves decided to resurface again. Happens in the first movie lol.
@@maoribrotha53 oh yes, but I was actually talking about the wild 1st generation werewolves; "William's kind" aka "Mindless beasts". Because it appears, that Selene and Michael killed what was left of them in Evolution

It was bad ass but I think it would’ve been so cool when they were storming the castle some of them start running and begin to start running on all fours while changing at the same time
Marcus is the only Vampire-Bat Hybrid from being the first Vampire. Being bit by Bat wasn't as potent as being bit by Wolf like his twin brother William. That is why William wasn't able to change back into any human form.
If I had to make decision to become either a Vampire or a Werewolf/Lycan, I would choose a Lycan/Werewolf without any hesitation. The vampires deserve to be punished for there cruelty.
I must say it is rather satisfying, most supernatural movies vampires think they are the apex predator, untouchable, humans are cattle and then werewolves toss them around like ragdolls. Well in real vampire / werewolf movies not teenage love stories like twilight or vampire diaries, which I always found it rather creepy a 500-1000 yr old vampire falling in love with a high school student
The Death Dealers rely on better weaponry and tactics in their clashes with werewolves, plus their silver body armour acting as a deterrent. Lycans in human form are just as strong as vampires but can change form for added strength, at the expense of strategic planning and coordination. However Lycans are normally kept chained to prevent the transformation, meaning that the Death Dealers only had to deal with the occasional stroppy prisoner. In this battle the vampires were simply swarmed by the outside intruders acting as a single cohesive army for the first time in their history, who then freed their brethren from the slave pens (and collars).
The reason their was many more Lycans was cause raze went into the nearby villages and started gathering supporters so he infected many people who joined their cause and they assisted them in freeing Lucian and the captive Lycans prisoners.
Nope. There were hundreds and hundreds, if not way more werewolves, (1st gen ones) within that huge cave that Lucian ventured into. They cought his scent and accepted him and any Lycan, (2nd gen) as one of their own. When Lucian roared in pain and distress, those very same Werewolves, (1st gen) heard that cry for help and sought to help and slaughter the culprits. They were feral by nature, like William, yet Lucian somehow managed to bring out some form of intelligence from their now dormant humanity.

The lycans that were already running were "pure bloods" they were infected by William and stay as werewolves until they die, the ones that were turning as they ran are of Luciens blood spawn which can turn from Lycan to human on a whim as Lucian was the first "True" Lycan To be able to do so. His generation of Lycans are also larger and stronger than the pure bloods. :)
He increased the vampire holdings several orders of magnitude after Markus and Amelia went into hibernation, mostly through protecting humans from the werewolves and charging through the nose for the privilege. His biggest mistake was the creation of the new Lycan species, and then hammering them until they hated all vampires.
He needed to rescue Sonya first. The lycans maybe under his control but they are still feral, they would have attacked her wildly in the chaos. He wanted to safeguard her, unfortunately, viktor sought to derail that.
@@Wolf10media I actually ment like overall situation. You see them fighting many times in small packs but when Lucian went to their den there seem to be a big number of them so I was wondering why they didnt just attack the castle with their full force, seemed easy enough to take it, but then again I think the point is that Lucian united them somehow into larger pack.
The werewolves weren't coordinated enough to do it themselves and the Lycans were kept chained up. To be fair once Lucian freed a large group of slaves they didn't waste much time.
This is well done for a vampire vs werewolf movie but.... ....a little common sense will tell you that hundreds of vampires and a couple thousand werewolves would drain continents of prey very quickly. But I guess in these kinds of fantasy horror movies you have to completely rule out all logic.
The vampires in this era mostly stuck to using livestock to source their blood (as Kraven mentions in the first movie). Presumably this was a rule set down by the coven to minimise the risk of detection. And once the human population realised the nature of the werewolf threat they would have switched to fortifying their homes and settlements as well, minimising opportunities for the werewolves to 'recruit' people caught out in the open and forcing them to feed on wildlife.
@@tompearce5418 - I get that but let's be real. Thousands of very large, very quick savage monsters who crave hot flesh would destroy ANY ecosystem and ravage societies. And that is extremely true in these types. The reality is.... 😒.... IF this were possible.... big IF.... the good news is they would eat each other because they know the competition would be great. And imagine the noise they would make. Wolves are very social, vocal creatures. Even if you consider their social characteristic is violence to each other in the extreme. They're extremely territorial and kill more of each other than most other large predators do. They enforce boundaries brutally. So it's completely stupid to think hundreds could live in harmony, in a cage or otherwise.
