There's a solution to Kuwait's 2 FPS. It's called Ultra low graphics. Although I gotta admit Kuwait and its addon DLC were terrific. Since I didn't even know Arizona was a planned but canceled map, seeing the devs make it part of the lore is fantastic. Another thing they do which is pretty cool is all their maps are linked to one another, with certain characters, references, etc.
Particularly how 3 NPCs have been seen on many Curated maps from the developers.
To be absolutely honest, no one was shitting on Kuwait, all Flodo said is that he personally doesn't like it and even explicitly said that it's not a bad map by any means.
Honestly this video all together seems so sad, omg a dev that acctuly created smt, unlike me, and instead of giving acctul input into the map I'm just gona call it effortless. Then make a whole video on it bcs the dev made a joke about me.
And if zman whana call anything effortless, he should probably put more effort into his own videos.

bro thinks his goofy copy pasted Rio map is actually decent (which is pretty much Russia) its like the most overused map concept in the whole ass game there are literally tens of these kinda maps which are pretty much the same and there are only a few that stand out Elver for example, and just because he put effort into it doesnt mean we have to like it

Rio just felt like someone’s first map. Tbh I thought Nelson’s lil brother made it or something. It’s to flat yet also to tall. Not much in the way of good loot. And the only think I like is the BB gun cuz it’s funny to get a kill with.

I know a lot of you will hop on zman bandwagon and agree to everything he says but I think he is being too harsh about the rio map. At 2:06 I can see really no similarities to the map, they use different grass, there terrain is very different, the towns are different and he never mentions how there similar. Now at 3:08 when zman got dmed, I actually spent time reading it and he had some good reasons. He even admitted a lot of the flaws and said he will be updating rio. I myself created a lot of maps for people and Its not easy, it requires a lot of creativity and skill to make a good map. It was very rude for zman to just say he didnt read it and made the guy seem foolish.
I also make Unturned maps. That doesn't make anything he said less valid. Anyone who is capable of critical thinking can clearly see he was referring to the general outline, or shape of the landscape. I too thought to myself, yeah they look nothing alike, but then noticed the water in the center of the map in an arch-like fashion. In other words, it would have done better if it had a different landscape. It was too similar like Zman said, so it leaves you feeling the same way every other map does. They're all basically using the same foundation in terms of landmass shape.
@@dilfonicz I still don't see how they are the same in terms of "general outline", Russia's map doesn't have a huge pool of water in the middle, it has rivers. Russia has land in the middle, rio has a little island. The only thing that is similar is the river sticking out in the top left that looks like the river sticking out in Russia map. I don't see why that just because the water in rio is arch-like means that its similar to russia. Most maps have rivers/water that curve/arch so it doesn't mean anything.
The terrain is 20% similar at best, but the rio map makes up for it by having different roads, different buildings, different towns, different rocks, ect. Zman has admitted he has been wrong about a lot of things and most of his videos are just him lying or bending the truth to his fans because he doesnt like the person for something else.
