I once had a team so big we had 3 full separate groups just to hold it and a discord, we built like 3 walls completely decked out around a farm building, and became unstoppable for like a year

The "unturned is a fun and casual game" joke really made me chuckle. I don't think I've encountered a casual player since 2016. But yea I can sympathize with most of these points, especially the teams and clans. Major servers have honestly been killed by clans for me, what's even the point of playing if you're just gonna loot up and get robbed by a 4 man that can't lose. More servers should have the solo - duo - trio rule.
I have thought about it but I feel like people would just cross team, after all some players are friendly to other players despite them not being in a team. There are no rules forcing you to fight an enemy team. You would have to add a rule so that you can't be friendly in order for it to work.
Good video! I already had the biggest server in Latin America (2019~2022), Brazilian server >40~50 players. And exactly your video was the biggest problem in the community/server. That's why I always had rules about loot locations and buildings on the map being prohibited from building, I even have a plugin to block any buildings in/near cities, player limit per online group is 8~10, banning offensive words and some others rules. Classic Vanilla Server (Metal Upgrades and Backpacks Workshop), no kits, no VIPs. This is the only way to have a more casual experience. One thing you didn't mention is the servers themselves, nowadays it's just a Full PvP server with 100 Workshops, 1000 different Weapons or "Vanillas" with x5 Loot, with kits and VIPs, vaults, all pay-to-win.
Sorry for late response, server sounds like it was a lot of fun. Respect for keeping the server fair despite the costs that come with running a server. I only mentioned things you will find while playing full vanilla Unturned. I am fairly isolated from the community, I only saw a few videos and got a few comments about it. That is why I felt safe saying nobody likes the community. Now sure we can all agree that pay to win servers are just plain bad for the game. But 5x servers and modded servers are good in my opinion as they don't cause any harm to anyone. Introducing diffrent ways to play the game is what keeps it interesting for longer. I think the real problem is the lack of vanilla servers. If we could find a vanilla server easily I don't think anyone would mind seeing a 1000x server as they just don't have to play it if they don't feel like it. But they always have an option if they get bored. The worst thing i experience with modded servers is when I see a server labeled "full vanilla" only to start downloading mod pack or they have tpa. Then I have to either exit the game to cancel the download or wait for it to finish just to leave.

At least I'm seeing the community here growing some servers, even though there are VIPs, kits, storages, I'm liking people focusing on creating servers 8 hours of maintenance a day (insane, I work at most and have 1 to 2 hours to tinker with server)

To be honest? the worst thing in unturned are servers. It's pretty much impossible to find a vanilla server that is not dead. Only insanely modded with 50 pop located in Russia or Brazil where you don't understand anything or some random empty server.. That's literally the worst thing in the game - just being unable to find a decent server.

One of my main issues with those big groups is that more often than not in my experience, they'll give you two options. 1: Be their resource slave and grind away my free time for their benefit. 2: Get raided every single day until I leave the server. It's so frustrating, one of the main reasons why I quit playing the game.
I only experienced this once, the first and only time it happened I found it fun, we got a task of like 2x crates every week. They also gave us a keyword to type in chat in case we needed help to beat enemy players. But I can see that after building a base in every server some random squad comes and forces you to get scrap when you just want to play the game. And if they are not nice they might raid you anyway.

You are right about everything here but the problem is that singalayer sucks and the comunity is toxic so you would think I would gather my friends to play on a privet server but NO I cant aford a server my friends tried it for 10 minuts and said it sucks. but the biggest problem is that unturned is my only option because all other zombie games that look realy good are ether to violent to gory or a combonation of both and i'm not guna play a game like that so Idk what i'm guna do. im stuck with unturned for now ig

I quit playing Unturned for ages. Admin nuke or maybe it was take over our base after 3 days in with reason like Not follow guideline of building base which literally only place a sign who own the base and not in POV which WE DID INSIDE OUR OWN BASE LIKE OTHERS!. I quit playing online now aday and play CDDA where more focus on actual survival.

I HATE 3RD PERSON SO MUUUUUCH it is so unbalanced! It is camper gameplay sitting behind the wall and peeking it easy to shoot in 3rd person because you actually can zoom in 3rd person without opening the scope and shooting in 3rd person close range is 100 times easier than fpp, fpp is true survival gameplay. Also I hate non vannila survival servers, like tpa/home/kits/?x more loot because it is mega casual and easy people go and play those trash servers instead of real vannila experience. Also I hate melee pvp and shotguns cuz they are mega OP u can 1 shot full geared player using db. And I hate this game's community, people dont play old good curated maps, they play same maps for all the time, there are so much good maps, but people dont want to play them. I also hate full builded cars which are more like apc or even more armored than them! I also hate 1 sleeping bag idea and how building are getting raided, splash in raiding is very big. If your sleeping bag gets destroyed and u die 1 time u just spawn on spawn and u can do nothing from this moment. So overral I love this game, but some of mechanics and community of casuals are trash. (5k hrs player opinion)

you can kill fire zombies very easy at close range not geting damage, you just need to go in a high place and kill the zombie

You can actually kill fire zombies with a mele by standing behind most of things like tables chairs mailboxes trash bins etc.
