Those were bluegill/redbreast hybrids you were catching. I've caught so many hybrid sunfish this spring and summer so far. They love to hybridize in creeks more than anywhere else it seems.
Just an hour can make a difference ! Love it ! I think anywhere you drop a lure, you can catch fish ! LOL ! We always enjoy your low water adventures. Be safe. Randy B.
Rods are like mechanics tools, to tighten a nut you may need a box wrench, or open end, maybe a socket wrench, maybe you need deep sockets or maybe channel locks or maybe vice grips.
love watching your channel sir! i just wrapped up catching 50 species in my 50th birthday month and watching your videos on the everglades certainly helped!
That was an amazing bass there at the end, and its always fun to catch some sun fish. Good quick little video about be prepared for any situation. Big fish are always hiding in the shadows. God Bless and GO KATS!!!!!!!!
Another cool little Creek Fishing Adventures trip. Just over an hour and you found another gem. Nice work brother John. I'm going to pick up that Panfish Elite rod. Used to love the older Microlite Spinning rods but I gave them both away to newer anglers. Blessings my friend
Another GREAT video John. Always learn a little something. And we can see how you have improved with a bait caster. Sweet shot between those tree limbs. Keep making vids and we'll keep watching. But, what brand was that frog?
Nice video mister John love your videos keep up the good work and I appreciate your videos and all of the work you put in them, I caught a 8 pound bass on my ultralight pole
love to fish when I can, I have done everything in my blue jeans, even went in the ocean and in the ohio river in my jeans. LOL. Don't wear shorts to often and just feel so go in jeans, but great to watch you men that do wear shorts and get sun burn legs. LOL.
I have the 6.6 med, fast action and I caught a redbreasted sunny on its maiden voyage and got a 3 lbs sneakhead on it yesterday. Absolutely love that rod
@@CreekFishingAdventures it was my 1st one ever. My adrenaline was sky high! They are strong and fight all the way back and then some. Hope you get one
i only use spinners and i use a M/L BP panfish elite that i like and it does good for bass up to 3 or 4 lbs IMO but i don't use it for top water or larger lures thanks john
That Dobyns Fury rod is a good rod but it's kinda heavy. The Dobyns Colt is lighter and cheaper. Although I'm all Falcon lowrider now. Super light and sensitive...nice price too, under $140.
I love all my Dobyns rods. Colt and Fury series. I use the mag hvy for punching. I'll use the hvy for froggin, but either way. I find for soft frogs the hvy walks them better. Nice catches.
You need to invent a fishing tool belt where it has the basic on the belt and nothing more...needle nose Plyers, small 5 to 10 lbs. scale and 30 inch measuring tape, small # of hooks, 10 basic lures, few weights etc. but in pouches on the tool belt........
Hi John, they are still working on the internet, I don't have the internet right now I will soon, I hate that I will not see your videos maybe soon I hope, I will miss you.
Hi John, I won't be able to see your videos because the men that's putting the wires up on the posts has interfered with my internet and now my internet is off until I can get this straightened out I won't get to see you lol, I will miss you really so take care, love you John.
Creek Fishing Adventures I'm trying to grow my channel. It's not monetized. I just want to ask a question. I have my videos posted in the entertainment category. Is this the best category or should I choose another? Thanks in advance! I appreciate you making these videos in this heat. I'm in Lebanon and it's just been too hot to go in the daytime. My buddy and I went catfishing the other day from 6pm to 3am. Only caught one small channel. Water is just too warm plus no rain.
Baitcastor is my choice but it definitely ISN'T a good pan fish choice. A spinning rod beats it every time. You have got to match rod and reel to your target fish
The things have learned about fishing from you John has made me a much better fisherman this year . I’ve caught more fish this year because of you .
I love the random stop to fish do it all the time
Those were bluegill/redbreast hybrids you were catching. I've caught so many hybrid sunfish this spring and summer so far. They love to hybridize in creeks more than anywhere else it seems.
Are ya sure it’s not a green sun fish bluegill hybrid, they look really similar
@@deionw4773 no, it's not a greengill. I've caught several of those before. It's definitely a bluegill/redbreast hybrid.
Just an hour can make a difference ! Love it ! I think anywhere you drop a lure, you can catch fish ! LOL ! We always enjoy your low water adventures. Be safe. Randy B.
Love these kind of videos! Come through northern KY and we’ll hit some creeks! Happy 4th to ya! 🇺🇸

Congrats and happy bday
Definitely a bluegill hybrid with sunfish or something. a couple of them look like long-eared gills. Lots of fun though!
I've drove past this creek/lake so many times going to work in Chattanooga. Always wondered what it looked like. Awesome Video!
I love seeing those crawfish tentacles sticking out.

John, keep at it with the casting gear. Pretty soon you will be comfortable with it.
Another GREAT video John. Always learn a little something. And we can see how you have improved with a bait caster. Sweet shot between those tree limbs. Keep making vids and we'll keep watching. But, what brand was that frog?
Dobyns makes good casting rods. I just bought a nice ultralight Bass Pro Bionic Blade spinning rod.
Thanks for sharing John!
Love the top toad sound and action!! I throw that more often than the more traditional hollow body frog
Nice video mister John love your videos keep up the good work and I appreciate your videos and all of the work you put in them, I caught a 8 pound bass on my ultralight pole
Wow, how heavy was your line? Great job!
@@MattLaClear Matt I was using 6 pound test line and a size 8 panfish hook with red worms
@@LeviW133 kapow!
@@MattLaClear yeah it was amazing how I landed that fish on ultralight tackle
Nice bass John. I hope you have a grear 4th of July. And God bless you and your family......🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😀

Another awesome video would love the time u have to fish lol danny from va

really cool video and nice way to end it with the bass.
Do you have any tips for setting the hook on panfish. I get tons of bites but i can never set the hook
You need to use small hooks.
If you’re not getting them after setting the hook then the hook is too big
Hi vis line so you can see it sooner
That little bait looks awesome what is that? I’m a big mini mite guy myself…ah I see slab hunter commented just too soon lol
I caught a bunch of those over the weekend..they look like some kind of hybrid
How do you cast so far with light tackle ?
Great video! But what kind of frog were you using. I have never seen anything like that before.
I'd be lucky if I caught that many in 8 hours....nice vid👍
Ive been killing it with nikko craws this season... cant wait to get my first top water bite of the summer tho... it looks so doggone fun... LOL
Like I told you buddy, the more u fish with baitcaster the better you get and you had some nice casts with the 🐸..

I had the colt but the guides are super cheap and with a leader knot it knocked 2 guided out and is unusable now
@@rickyhrman3204 glad I switched to Falcon rods only. Haven't had that issue.
Here in North Carolina we call those fish pumpkin seed
What kind of line are you using??
What knot do you use for braid ?
Last I knew John uses the double uni.
Happy 4th. Hope everyone is having a great day.
Back in the day one rod did it all. 😆
Try a Hellbent rod great all around!!!!
That’s a pumpkin seed sunfish

When ya gonna do a Jon boat video?
We called it a warmouth or common sunfish
You should try mule fishing lures
i have and they are great
Some of the fish that you're catching are Speckled Sunfish also known as a Spotted Sunfish.
I WAS WATCHING COLE & JAY THE HOOK HAS A SCREW ON JIG SO THE LURE DONT MOVE. JUST A FYI.

Love it

Warm wet feet have to be better than cold wet feet 👍
Those weird fish you couldn't name I think are long eared sunfish
Loved it
It was a blue breast red gill
