Kefka killing Gestahl and tearing the world apart in Final Fantasy 6 should be on this list. That plot twist changed EVERYTHING, including the shape of the world. Kefka won, and the entire planet lived under his rule for a full year.

After Kefka did what he did, EVERYTHING changed, including the face of the entire world. For a full year, Kefka had WON. It would be like if Meteor struck sooner than expected, re-arranging the Planet's continents, and the player takes control of Tifa after a year-long coma.

As someone who absolutely loves Raiden as a character, I am kind of surprised that they included his inclusion in MGS2 as the main character instead of the Boss’ “betrayal” in Snake Eater.
Aerith’s theme was more part of a plot rather than a plot twist, cloud’s unreliable narration and Tifa’s silence about it was the real plot twist of ff7

Good list, but the twist in Dead Space; both the original and 2023, was amazing and the twist about Kasumi in Persona 5 Royal floored me. I thought the twist ending in Stellar Blade was good as well.

I figured Odin was Tyr from the start. Odin is notorious as a smarmy schemer and we conveniently find Tyr right after Odin tries and fails to con and intimidate the group. But Brock’s death was still a surprise.
Also brok mentions something that was suspicious about what "tyr" was cooking. Tyr had vegtables. (In case youre wondering why thsts so important: only asgard had vegtables as the other realms weren't able to be acessed yet, unable to make plants needed or too dangerous to get them so odin smuggled in food from asgard and turned into tyr once he returns.
I liked the plot twist of Gunvolt Cronicles LAiX. During the two phases of the final boss, you (the player) find out, that the protagonist, Copen, turned himself into a cyborg. And on top of that, they explain the Game is placed 100 years after the bad end of Azure Striker Gunvolt.
What about Jade Empire? Master Li turning out to have betrayed you straight from the beginning and taught you a martial style with a weakness only he could exploit.
I mean come on could there be anything else apart from Bioshocks's "Would you kindly" twist. It was so good and unexpected its become a legendary twist. No game has been able to come up with a twist anywhere near as good as it and its highly likely they wont ever get close. It was just that good

Guys what about the time travel reveal in Dark Souls 3?! Like that was so unexpected. Sure we'd travel through time in the previous games but it was a shock that we were back in the past the whole time.
Legend of Zelda wind waker finding out tetra was really princess Zelda was only 10/11 when i did my first play through and remember the shock to find out she was really Zelda the whole time!
Well, at least FFVII's plot twist made it in as far as JRPGs goes since plot twists are pretty common in those types of games. Here's other spoilers I think of (spoilers below for Danganronpa franchise, Kingdom Hearts 3, Tales of Symphonia, 13 Sentinels, Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice, and the OG Metroid)- Danganronpa 1- This game is chalk full of plot twists but the biggest for me was how 2 years had past in between Makoto arriving at Hope's Peak to when he woke up after passing out and that the world had ended too. DR2- Hajime being the Mastermind of the game. DRV3- Everything is 'fictional'. Kingdom Hearts- Another franchise with plenty of plot twists, but the one that still shocked me the most (so far)- was learning that Xigbar was actually Luxu. Tales of Symphonia- Learning that Kratos is Llyod's biological father. 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim- The entire game takes place in a simulation on spaceship and earth is gone. AA: Spirit of Justice- Durke is already dead when the final chapter starts. Metroid- The OG plot twist if you ask me- Samus is a girl.

Many players probably dismissed it or didn’t pay attention to it until the final boss and the actual awakening of the Wind Fish, and that’s why they’re so shocked. Same. I did like how it re-contextualizes everything he does on a second playthrough. This was one of my favourite twists ever.
The issue is that even though it's shocking. It makes his actions during the game make way less sense. Things start to fall apart

I had the Tyr is Odin plot twist spoiled for me by a UA-cam thumbnail. I was looking up a guide for all the ravens locations.

It’s not a twist, you literally find out super early in the game that once the wind fish is awaken, the island and its inhabitants will vanish.
@@FernieAriel, right, from the enemy ai of the game. Most people tend to discredit people they perceive as “villains”. Many players probably dismissed it or didn’t pay attention to it until the final boss and the actual awakening of the Wind Fish, and that’s why they’re so shocked. Like that shocked Pikachu face meme they reference so many times now..

From now on, please when you make a video like this, mention which games will be included “before” the video so we know when to skip that part. Also why are you mentioning the twist itself in the headline for the game you’ll talk about? Just say the name of the game and continue talking about it. This way, the viewer can have a few seconds to skip if they didn’t play that game yet. I know you gave a spoiler alert at the beginning, but that’s not really enough on a video like this
