dude wth, i have been watching a lot of pixel art tutorials, every tutorial feels like they are showing off or something, but your video is straight forward, to the point, Simplifying everything !
Jesus Christ absolutely underrated, hue shifting I heard no one mention, and when I saw the difference I can already tell that it's an easy to use tool that can help anyone, thanks you so much love you :D
Wow. I've somehow never thought to block out my sprites, and I never even *began to know* about hue shifting. Thank you for this! Hopefully one day I'll be able to create good sprites that aren't just geometric shapes 😅
thank you so much for making this video : ) I've always wanted to get into pixel art for the longest time! you made something super simple but very informational and provided great resources and advice!!! keep it up!!
0:18 it's honestly incredibely cool how they managed to store the game in such low space i want to say part of it is because it was partially easier back then, but we can't deny the amount of work and thought that was put into it (the reason i say it might've been partially easier back then is the standard of space, back then 41 killobytes was a lot compared to now, so the standard for how condenced the files would be was a lot higher, right now nobody cares as much so even a file that is just as simple would easily take more space, tho that's more of a guess)
I'm not a artist, but I am a gamer. I drew years ago from visual. I am inspired to make a pixel fighting game and these tips are a huge help from a art prospective. Thank you for your tips!
Yes color theory is very important. I'm going to be making a game that has a darker more horror theme in the first half and I'm on purpose using a muted dull color palette to help emphasize the depressing and cold world the player is in for that time
Did anyone else jaw drop? Holly my guy sounds like a young god. Very well made video. Way too underrated. Way to young. Solid proof age is just a number. Back in my day adults taught the teachers now its someone half my age
[Honest Review] Jetpack03, I have to admit that I've been watching your videos since you started but I never thought to comment until now. Many have already drawn a comparrison to you and Dani. I have to admit that your style of content is very similar on the comedic side of things. But I also think that you have your own unique style too. Your video editing is very smooth, the transitions are also on par with your voice. I feel you are very informative but you don't overload your viewers with too much information. I feel there's a lot of great work that goes into these videos along with great efforts. I do see potential in your channel growing more by the day. Especially if you have a Discord as well a growing Community (Which you do have to my knowledge) - Overall, I'm very impressed. I hope your channel continues to grow and I look forward to watching more of your content! :)
I didn't know that I am that old. Probably grew up with the dinosaurs. Nice video :) What's important to keep in mind that all techniques are tools. And you can use them to your liking. You don't have to use something. It's art.
2:10 usually at moments like this people would use footage refrencing what they are saying the moment you said amature games and brought that one dead cells pic i was like "UUUUMMM... WHAT ?!?!?!" for a moment before realizing you're still showing beatiful games xD
Haha my Ps2 has an 8mb memory card and that was big only 20 yrs ago! Shows how things have progressed with storage and how much storage games take up too.
I have seen 100s as well. This is one good tutorial among all those. Short and well made. Thanks so much. Keep it up. BTW can someone mention the name of the game at the end?
I really just watched a tutorial where the final tip is to watch tutorials

dude wth, i have been watching a lot of pixel art tutorials, every tutorial feels like they are showing off or something, but your video is straight forward, to the point, Simplifying everything !

Wow. I've somehow never thought to block out my sprites, and I never even *began to know* about hue shifting. Thank you for this! Hopefully one day I'll be able to create good sprites that aren't just geometric shapes 😅

You sound so young, I thought the video was not going to be very good, but I was mistaken! It's REALLY well made, the editing, the tips. Good job!

Excellent video! I've recently been trying to practise my pixel art skills and this seems like solid advice.
