One of mine is beating players who just got a Bugatti Veyron in TDU2 with the starter car Lancia Delta Integrale. I did this several times in a row, since these players were usually completely unable to deal with a thousand hp and constantly crashing their new toy.
The only thing a 'roadmap' means is that the game is unfinished, and rushed to release because of contractual obligations or whatever. So the game's fucked pretty much.

You gradually lived a virtual form of reality where your LIFESTYLE became better and better, where you could afford better and better things, and with real life things thrown into it (like police, etc.). By all metrics it looks like it's just another F'n Forza Horizon clone. Ffs...
My dream was a Test Drive that stuck to its roots but as gorgeous as Forza Horizon. Thats what I wanted just the look but still a TDU game at its core...
I feel your pain, Mack. I never played Test Drive Unlimited 2, but I understand your sorrow. I was hoping this game was all you wanted it to be when you mentioned it a few months back. I'm sorry you have to see your beloved franchise be dug out of the grave and paraded across the gaming scene. Being twisted and perverted to some unrecognizable shell of its former self. @@no1DdC I’m 100% sure it’ll be paid DLC, and it’ll be less than that. Maybe one small section of the map that’s been blown up, with everything people loved from 2 stripped out except the streets. No new dealerships, no homes, no casinos, no unique architecture, just the same shit on a slightly different map that looks like the one from a past game.
You know that video is gonna be a banger when Mack calls it Mega Rant!
This video was my first introduction to this channel and “testicle drive unlimited solar crown” off rip immediately earned you a sub
Videogame industry needs a big fat crash.
I recently got a PS3 just to play games from that gen and it almost brought a tear to my eye. It's horrific what happened to videogames.
Waited something like 12 years for this.
Oh well.
This is my first test drive and I’m very underwhelmed by this tbh
The sounds this man makes are so fucking funny 😂
11:12 Casually driving around. That's pretty chill isn't it? **car in front blinks out of existence** Wait what? 😯
_"Let's read the words..... of bleurughkumm."_
Mack's finally lost it!
Game reviewers like you have saved me a lot of money my wallet thanks you
What did you expect Mac- Game Developers DO NOT UNDERSTAND their own brands.
Sad thing is that TDU isn't KT Racing's brand.
They just adopted it.
@@DeeDee-pw9pm Yeah I'm speaking in general. The same thing is going to happen to the new Commandos game. HUGE commandos fan, and I have a feeling they going to give us small maps with 10 enemy soldiers to eliminate.
This shit makes me miss the heyday of arcade racers. I miss the days when we had Project Gotham, Ridge Racer, GOOD NFS games, TDU1 and 2, Burnout, Midnight Club. These days all we have are open world copy/paste Forza Horizon that has played the same for four games, its wannabe knock off The Crew, and a bunch of middling trash games using the TDU and NFS names.
I bet there are no girls in swimsuites washing your car in this one. That would hurt way too many feelings in this day and age.
as an A.I. I wholeheartedly agree with your statement. the woke version of the TDU 2 carwash scene would be a black gay male, a lesbian asian female, a perfectly average, though slightly feminine white male and a slightly overweight, short haired middle eastern woman. [according to my 99.9% accurate A.I. analytics]
some certain youtuber that reviewed old TDU will be very happy since he said he wanted it gone in the sequel since modern audience like him hates it
As a car girl, THAT INFURIATES MEEEEEE I WILL GLADLY CLEAN CARS IN BIKINIS.... F I hate 2024. Being "spoken for" subconciously in media.

Im crying from laughing so much.. never change Mack, never change.
Thanks for reminding me how much the original game had in it. My goodness what are they doing.
Meeting up at the lighthouse in Hawaii in TDU is one of my fondest memories in my years gaming.
One of mine is beating players who just got a Bugatti Veyron in TDU2 with the starter car Lancia Delta Integrale. I did this several times in a row, since these players were usually completely unable to deal with a thousand hp and constantly crashing their new toy.
@@no1DdC Lol, you sick man 😂
This review made this day a lot better! I was laughing so hard, thank you Mack!
The game industry has been infiltrated by non gamers - and we’re gonna need to see a massive clear out before things improve
Jews..
"But but the roadmap guys, this game has a roadmap" well, fuck you I didn't buy a roadmap, I buy a game that I want to enjoy NOW.
The only thing a 'roadmap' means is that the game is unfinished, and rushed to release because of contractual obligations or whatever.
So the game's fucked pretty much.
As Angry Joe would say: They done fucked it up! Shame... I love the old TDU... I feel the same as you, Mack.... Oh, and maybe you forgot to say: No car customization! It was a big part of TDU2. What has the world of gaming come to...
2:35 wait for the clipping fence
omg Mack. The most epic rant ever imho. I knew it was gonna be shite, but omg. This is an epic turd! This is the golden turd ot turds!
Another awesome IP kaputt , gone, broken, destroyed and never able to recoup from it ever again. Such a shame. I was waiting for it for so long already, now this. This is endgame for sure.
If you want a bigger breakdown of what TDU was, it was a LIFESTYLE GAME that just so happened to have fast, exotic, cars in it. You gradually lived a virtual form of reality where your LIFESTYLE became better and better, where you could afford better and better things, and with real life things thrown into it (like police, etc.).
By all metrics it looks like it's just another F'n Forza Horizon clone. Ffs...
YES!, that's what i thought too!
A discount fucking Forza Horizon...
I hope a true successor comes later on. It may not be under the "Test Drive Unlimited" brand, but it doesn't need to. It just needs to be better and greater than TDU2.
You have genuinly saved me about 500 us dollars at this point my guy. I dont even know how to begin to thank you for the work that you do my guy. Youre a real hero.
When the driving started it looked like a mod for GTA3.
This is the most epic review of all time
Don't think i've ever heard Mack so angry and disappointed.
You must be new here, welcome.
They ruined the Mafia remake...
now they ruined TDU...
Basically two of my favorite games from back in the day.
Anyway... back to playing modded Assetto Corsa. Goodbye modern gaming.
And you got all these youtubers and streamers shilling the hell out of it.
Well deserved rant this is a joke of a game and I've been waiting for a decent racing game since the last nfs releases mostly suck and I hate forza because it have 0 progression at all so i basically have no racing games to play but the older ones which I played to death already 😢
The gaming industry specifically the arcade racing genre is a joke
although I don’t always agree 100% with your takes I feel your outbursts and rants deep within my soul. this is by far one of the most underrated video game review channels. keep ringing that bell Mack
calling the graphics poor is an understatement. gta 5 has better looking assets than this game. 2024 and this is the best they can do?
I posted your review on TDU Solar Crown reddit and almost immidiately the moderator removed it.
The subreddit isn't for fans of the IP, it's for PR for the devs.
Reddit is for shills and political drones
It's there right now, I got a link from it to this video.
The developers need to learn a lesson.
Nowadays even the original owners of franchises fuck it up,
let alone those who adopt the franchise.
Dont you just love a classic Mack McMakason Rant !! 🤣
Test your blood pressure,Mack.
4:44 the devs arent incompetent. All the diff companies are KNOWINGLY MAKING these games like that.
This is why I wait for you Mack for your vids b4 I buy. Soon as I see your vids on games I like and want I love it!
All we want is a new Midnight Club game.
Oh fuck yea. I love mc 2
Shark Card's says nooo
I don’t understand the always online design principle and will never buy such a game after witnessing what happened with the crew. Thank you for another genuine and honest review.
Not a hard concept to understand it cost money to keep a server up. If you have an updated version of the game called the crew 2 they would shut it down if you have less then 100 people playing the old one. They should if pushed an offline patch not just making it so you can't play. The good news is the crew 2 and motorfest will have an offline mode
Keep feeding it too them Mack 😀
Thanks :)
No driving school
No second hand car dealers
No taxi missions or drop offs
No selling cars
No casino
No houses
No car wash
No police
No clubhouse
No second island to explore
Why did the devs ask us what original features we want to see then add NONE OF THEM? 🤯 Plus the game looks awful. TDU2 looked better than solar crown and that was on PS3, all the things I've listed and more! There was none of this road map bs!
I knew it was going to suck ass months, perhaps a year before it came out. When I heard it was going to be online and that you were to be doing everything in the hotel.
Yes, exactly. When they showed the first gameplay over a year ago and started promoting the game, I already knew where the game was headed. I had a bad feeling right from the start and I was right...
Poor grandad, he is going on about the war again. Someone fetch him a blanket. 🤗
Thanks for reminding me about the Grand Tour ending 😢
Whats that?
@@adamwilliams5426 a car show that started out as Top Gear many years ago. The three that started it all just aired their final episode after 20-something years.
*"I've ran out of room"*
That was a funny bit to add at the end.
When I first heard the reviews for this I thought "How could this possibly happen to Test Drive, surely it's at least decent?" Turns out I was wrong 😅
I was crying when i first tried Solar Crawn, now i am crying watching this video :D thx
Agreed mate. No features, no soul, total garbage. The shills are a disgrace.
Thanks Mack. Saved me taking this turkey for a test drive.
Rant Starts: 4:45
the rant we waited for.. ding
Just absolutely knew this was coming.
His voice even changed, more energetic haha
Laughed my ass off! One of the BEST WABs!
Love angry mac, we need to torture him with bad games.
They made the game more linear to cut development time and to not scare off younger gamers who would feel it to be too cumbersome to drive to another clothing store, but they ruined a great part of the series identity in the process. The game's logo looks nice, though.
WE must get bad games all the time!! Just because, I love to hear Mac RANT like a frikking Tarentino movie!!
Didn't dissapoint, thanks for saving me money, Mack. I haven't forgiven you for Kenshi but hopefully one day.
KENSHI isn't all that great, really.

It looks plastic, like mobile "racing" games. I loved the earlier TDUs. I had this one on my wishlist since the announcement, but I'm really glad I waited for your review. Now I can remove it from my wishlist, no way I would waste £40 on this.
They've tarnished the Test Drive name for some cash. It wasn't ready.
Nope, at least 12 months of work needed, maybe even 2 years.
What's funny is, this game was suppose to release in 2021. Delayed three years and still came out in a sorry state.
The bel suffered harshly in this review 😂
Its truly sad for modern gaming. Atleast we exp the greats back then.
Better get used to 90s graphics again and play Indie games. Saves you money on hardware as well.
What I hated about handling was that a lot of cars heavily understeer and it's very difficult to compensate for that.

Bro was so excited for this 💀
So was I 😢
You shouldnt have been man there were red flags from the very start.
Couldn’t have said it any better! I’ve played TDU 1&2 no racing game has even come close to it, done some research on this and glad you have confirmed my reason not to buy 😢

Countdown to Ocelot P**s 2:56. It's what im waiting for in every vid now. Mack, we need an Ocelot song pls.
testical drive unlimited swollen crown is pure gold 😆🤣
Sorry for your loss Mack. Never played TDU, but I know what it's like to watch one of your favourite franchises go down in flames. Awesome video though.
What I'm hearing is, Test Drive Unlimited Limits.
I've been excited for this game for years. Test drive unlimited still even when no multiplayer for years, has a cult following.
Upsetting effort they made.
2:38 "...know how to make a car handle and hats off to the developers..." Says Mack as his car drives straight through a chain link fence without a single effect on the fence, car or surrounding environment.
thats not really to do with car handling though.. its half assed physics implementation and collision detection... i gave up on this after the demo wouldn't detect my logitech G Pro wheel because it was a separate peripheral to my thrust master pedals.. every thing about the game screams lazy
Review "Squirrel with a gun" refreshing, fun, amusing and can't wait to hear your thoughts 🥺 🙏
This game feels AI generated.
Played the demo knew the rant was going to be top tier, lived up to it thx for that yeah
