I used to work at this Machine shop where we made aircraft parts for Prat & Whitney and Rolls Royce (yes they make jet engines too) Let me tell you I will never get on another commercial airliner after working at that place for 3 years. Some of the parts that would leave that place out of tolerance and all made by people that barley understood what they were doing. scary
It’s rare for them to crash, most parts are made in factories or by qualified people, and even if a defective part makes it to a hangar it will never be used. Honestly if a machine shop is fucking up pieces of an airframe consistently guess what happens to the workers? I’ll also trust air travel more than car travel since at least most pilots are actually professionals unlike the idiots on the roads.
