Unfortunately,sharks are considered food here in the Philippines especially in Bicol area they turned into kinunot (fillet in coconut milk with moringa leaves)they use if rays are unavailable.

Blue ringed octopus is as rare as an animal can get. Almost extinct. They dont swim around but stay inside crevices. An ambush predator.

There are no Great white sharks in the Philippines. The spiders and deadly scorpions will be deep in the jungle tho.
I almost got bit by a viper (dahong palay) while playing hide and seek when I was 8 or 9 yrs old. Almost picked up a venomous spider called brown recluse good thing my uncle was there. Saw my dog killed a Philippine cobra. When I was in collage I woke at the middle of the night and saw a 12ft long python under my study table. Hahaha! Provincial life is the best!

Snakes can be found anywhere especially nowadays they are having snakes as pets.There was one story also in a condo where the python escaped from his owners and quietly went to the ceiling of another unit. It stayed there for quite a while until those tenants noticed some sounds in the ceiling.

Finn found blue ringed octopus on one of his dives in Dauin, Negros. You can check it out on one of his recent vlogs. He was so happy when he found and filmed the critter but he stressed how venomous it is so better stay away from them.
Just think about it...there are over 110 million Filipinos but there are 19 deaths by mosquito bites...just be careful....

Remember when I was on Malapascau Island with my ex Filipina girlfriend and picked up a centipede from the bathroom in our hotel, she went crazy in fear. I thought nothing of it and threw it outside only to be told it was poisonous 😬
