The two factors driving all this appear to be post Covid supply chain anomalies and the aggressive Russian stance on Ukraine. Supply chains appear to be catching up and softening (apart from some Chipsets). SO - if Russia / Ukraine were to work through a solution, would we see a more rapid return to lower rates?
I think the difficulty with that is the breadth of issues is broader than just the supply chains. It was the catalyst for the inflation bout but that's now become more embedded and will have further implications for growth (with the rate rises that will have to come to curtail demand)
Be nice to see them present themselves as hawkish and push the 125 bph then instead of the 75 50 split they go with two 62.5 hikes which would give us relief in the markets while maintaining their stance on inflation

Definitely is an avenue that many market watchers were hoping for. Taking the bandaid off to hopefully get a solution sooner
