Sanders got pissed, and tried to start his own restaurant with his wife owning it. Then KFC sued him for using his name and the recipe, and Sanders counter sued for use of his likeness to sell the worse recipe. They settled, but Sanders got way less than he was looking for, and KFC got to use his face however they wanted. Pretty sure he died not long after, all while hating KFC for ruining his chicken til his last breath

Mr. Dickson bankrupted McDermott with the highly leveraged buy out of CBI. The merger was Dickson's attempt at propelling himself from CEO of a middle size corporation into the big leagues with a corresponding executive compensation to go with it. There was little / no due diligence ahead of the merger, and when (allegedly) Dickson was informed by a Senior CBI Project Manager that CBI were underreporting huge losses on several LNG projects, Dickson continued with the buyout, and continued to under report those losses to investors/quarterly reports after the merger was completed. (The wonders of Excel, and the ease of running two spread sheets!!). These loses escalated post merger and bankrupted McDermott. Dickson and CFO Stuart Spence, along with McDermott and CBI are currently being sued for fraud in United States District Court, Southern District of Texas, Houston Division.

Some industries don't have this reality. My partner works in health. Health never stops. Comfy office jobs where there is already a lot of waste in terms of poor efficiencies, bureaucracy overhead, etc could alleviate some of the issues with this but imo its not solving the cause of those problems.
