For those wondering, YES the concrete 'boobs' are indeed real. They're south of LA and above San Diego. I saw them when I was taking a delivery of lumber down there.
We used to call them the Dolly Parton tits when giving directions, and it was always great getting the new people being all confused, and then a few days later they'd be like, "I see what you meant"
Nobody mentions that when OJ tries to kick the door open and busts through it instead that the door opens outward. Small details make these movies rewatchable because you can find something else almost every time you watch them.
@@SakuraAvalon One of my favorites is in the first movie in the police lab and when they walk into another room, Frank walks around the wall instead of going through the door like the others.
6:15 The Weird Al biopic was so good!! I'd watch so fast if you guys reacted to it! I've been a Weird Al fan since I was a child and Daniel Radcliffe absolutely crushed the role in the most ridiculous and best way possible. Also, Eric not realizing that Weird Al has been super famous for a WHILE was funny. Almost every 80s song I recognize is because I knew the Weird Al version.
Not being that guy but I just wanted to add some insight. Most "zoos" these days only feature animals that are unable to be reintroduced into the wild. They're typically rescued from private owners or from rehabilitation facilities where they had been taken for injury. I wholeheartedly agree that animals should never be captured for the sake of display in captivity. Also, as a big rodeo fan, I also agree that today the killing of bulls in bullfights is outdated regardless of "culture". It's unnecessary and barbaric.
Agreed most reputable zoos do, and in addition the only times they might take one from the wild is for breeding programs for certain species that maybe dying out in the wilderness as sort of a last-ditch effort to keep them around this Earth which is why people should not lump all zoos into the same category as being inhumane and cruel because some are very very important and vital to the very survival of some species and we need to Patron those particular ones so they maintain funding to continue their work
Leslie Nielsen is one of the funniest people & this is one of his best movies which was first based off a short lived series called “Police Squad!”, so here are a few more fun facts like: - Weird Al cameos in all 3 films which was amazing for him especially because he was a huge fan of the show in fact he brought first dates to watch the movie in order to surprise them that he was in it, & in the sequel he played a thug that Frank slammed the door open on which took more than 20 takes to get the scene done bruising his leg which Al even says that O.J. felt sorry for him - After Nielsen passing away on November 28, 2010 at his funeral they played the movie theme song - The painting that Drebin destroyed was Tomas Gainsborough’s “The Blue Boy” - Robert Goulet was the "Special Guest Star" who was "killed off" at the start of Police Squad! episode "The Butler Did It (A Bird in the Hand)” - Robert Goulet who played Priscilla Presley's villainous love interest Quentin Hapsburg which in 1979 her ex-husband Elvis Presley shot his television because Robert Goulet appeared on - it is now a collector's item - The electric car during the secret meeting is is a 1986 Pontiac Fiero - The flashback scene of Frank & Jane's wedding was the real ending for The Naked Gun 2½ - David Zucker & Pat Proft wrote a script for a 4th Naked Gun movie possibly titled "The Naked Gun 444.4" which would have given Drebin a younger female sidekick, but worked on Scary Movie 3 (2003), Scary Movie 4 (2006), & Scary Movie V (2013).
if u ONLY look at part 3 the list of PPL in it who are DEAD today is scary !! if u go back to Movie 1 it gets even longer .. so many of them are gone . RIP
Okay, now you HAVE to do Spy Hard. Its sort of the spiritual successor to this series, with Leslie Nelson again. Its a spoof of spy movies, a la Mission Impossible and the Bond flicks.
7:29 when Ed said, “There’s only a 50-50 chance of him living, though there’s only a 10% chance of that”, Nordberg’s chances of survival were 5% overall Here’s a simple mathematical explanation for it. Imagine that you have a pie in front of you and it gets cut into 20 pieces. Now imagine that 10 of those pieces are taken away, the pie starts to spin around like a roulette wheel and you have to reach out and try to grab a piece while blindfolded. Your chances of grabbing a piece of pie would be 10 in 20, or 50%. This sets up the first part of Ed’s statement. For the second part, imagine now that of the 10 remaining pieces of pie, 9 of them are taken away. So now your chances of grabbing a piece of pie is 1 in 20, or 5%
That doesn't quite track, there's only a 10% chance of him getting the opportunity to grab at the 10 slices of pie, your example makes it a given and then reduces the slices of pie. There's a 90% chance for Nordberg that there's no pie and any other quantity of pie to begin with. For all we know there could be a 90% chance of him having a 100% chance of living with a 10% chance of him slipping into a 50/50.
If you want to see the true glory of Weird Al, reacting to his original song "Hardware Store" would be a good bet. Also, the biopic is a hilarious mix of fiction and reality.
Weird Al would take his dates to the Naked Gun movies wearing the outfit that he would wear in the movie. He also wouldn't tell his dates that he was in the movie.
The Depressing Bar photos… the California Earthquake (1906?)… The Hindenburg… The Titanic… and I believe the guy is Michael Dukakis (ran for President in 1988 and had a campaign ad of him driving a Tank… helmet and all). He was a Democrat, which would play into the joke earlier about the Democratic Party.
"Having your nuts bit off by a Laplander" refers to an old castration method done on reindeers by Laplanders, the indigenous Sami people living in the northern parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia.
1:27:06 - Yeah. It's really quite easy to do. The challenge is figuring out which gets to go into the toilet and which doesn't. =\ Food poisoning sucks.
I ~used~ to think that this joke was about the fact that most native tribes in the world (and yes; Laplanders or Samí as they also are called) do "bite" the scrotum of the males in their live-stocks as a method of castrating (It, works, doesn't require special tools, and since you can do it without risking secondary infections, etc, it just was a good way to do it).. However; When I mentioned this in a comment on a reaction movie someone pointed out that Laplander is ~also~ a breed of dog. May not be ~as~ fun but it may make mroe sense, especially if there had been a news-story in the US around the time where this film came out where a Laplander dog actually bit off someone's testicles. I have not tried to find out which one it is, as I think this may be one of the situations where not knowing can lead to much more interesting and less stressful thoughts being the ones keeping me awake when I want to sleep.
Now that you guys have watched The Naked Gun trilogy, you really should check out Police Squad. It's only six episodes and I find them funnier than the movies, though the third one's a pretty low bar lol
Police Academy 1 is just a little bit of a foreplay, following ones give those characters real room to prove themselves My most favorite spoof comedy is "Loaded Weapon 1", parodying tons of movies, but if You saw "Die Hard (1)" you're fine already. Aaaand if You saw at least one episode of the ancient "Star Trek" show and "Alien", definitely watch "Galaxy Quest"
Damn I love these movies. Leslie Nielsen is huh-larious. Gotta admit though, I'm looking forward to the reboot written by Seth MacFarlane with Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin.
As wary as I tend to be about reboots, Seth MacFarlane is somebody I believe loves ZAZ enough to trust him with their legacy. He would definitely be missing a significant portion of his sense of humor without them.
From the files of police squad, was canceled for being Too funny. so they repurposed all the jokes into the movies, can find the episodes on youtube. in the second movie the Baboon line is extra funny as a group of baboons is called a congress
The Police Squad TV show was great even if it was short lived too. The therapist in the last movie is played by the same actor who was Sarah Conner's therapist in Terminator 1 & 2 and he popped up in T3 for a scene.
An underrated gag in this movie is the bad guy proudly boasting about his expensive "Japanese fighting fish" ... There's no such thing. Those are just ordinary lionfish, which are common as dirt and actually an invasive species in many parts of the world. Man surrounds himself in what he thinks are luxury, but they're likely all fakes 😅
