Awesome photography! The FJ is looking badass. It’s the perfect exploring vehicle for one. I have my pack so dialed in on my FJ. I can’t wait to see more. I’m doing a 10 day solo adventure from lower Michigan to North Dakota next year sleeping in the FJ. I’m so excited. It’s just the perfect vehicle to me.

I laughed so hard when you guys said Derek is not a human lol that's make 2 of us. I used to drive16-18 hrs drive from MN to TO/TO to AK just with fruits, brownies and chips. Nowadays, I am more easy on my long journey 10-12 hrs with more healthy meals. Last year I did TO to NL, this year gonna do TO to Vancouver-Seattle-Las Vegas-Houston then back to TO. This will be my longest journey. Your video is really helpful. I hope my sedan can tackle the Rockies areas! Safe and happy journeys to everyone is doing cross country trip!

I'm sure your car will be fine on the highways through the Rockies. Check driveBC first for timing as they are still doing work on Hwy 1 through the Golden area this summer and it is closed intermittently, including at night time.

Me too!! Except I’m doing the opposite since my partner and I are moving to Toronto. Leaving September 14 to be in Toronto for October 1st!! Stopping in every major city / town in each province of course.

My dad and I just did this but NONSTOP (other than for fuel, food and washroom) straight to Vancouver from Toronto and let me tell you, the hardest part is literally just getting out of Ontario 😭

Yup! That’s a coastal off-road bumper. I had my buddy help me weld it so I don’t have a comparable price for you unfortunately

Great video !!! Question for you how many miles can you get on a full tank of gas? I have a 2010 FJ but I don’t have a rooftop tent looking to get one. On a full tank of gas I get about 215 miles.
