The reveal is great and takes heat of the impossible location guess work the boys might watch for up front. That’s how I’d try to copy it anyway ;n) now I can’t tell by the video but I would have a small piece of black felt fold out from where the ring on the fake laces come out right at the corner. That way you could sweep the shoe tongue area with cover then just yank the silk back up. He made a point of black pants AND black shoes which is great cover compared to say a contrast colour shoe. I tend to think the black on black was on purpose. Anyway blahbalhblah lol.

He knew that they were going to guess that so he had planned on the transfer device is in 2 parts. Part of it in his shoe and then whatever he discarded in the Handkerchief. I think that's the only part he fooled them on if he did fool them.
@@jmsomps this is the most complete description I could find. Sorry for the late reply. I think when he dropped the ring in the handkerchief he dropped it through the shoe lace he had inside of it. He knew exactly in which corner of the handkerchief it will go, so he got that side, to not let it slip back. I think he had something solid behind the handkerchief, but maybe also pliable, since he folded the handkerchief to "show" that it has nothing behind. It's probably the black object you spotted. I think he used that object to push the shoe lace inside his shoe, and then he basically didn't move from that place at all, he just had small feet movements, before climbing the ladder. He told her to bring the ladder in the center of the ring, so that he doesn't have to move. He used the ladder and the lady as a misdirection all the time, as he admitted that about the lady in a comment on his channel. I don't know if he placed her in the public, or if he just chose her because of her looks, but she was also sitting very conveniently right near the path in the middle, and also very close to the front. She didn't really check too much if his shoe lace was tied, she just said it is by just touching it. Anyway, I wouldn't have spotted all of this without your comment. Thanks.
When he puts the ring in the handkerchief, he threads it onto a shoe lace inside a hidden pocket of the handkerchief. The lace has a black steel tab (magnetic). Later, when he takes the handkerchief back, he orients it properly. Then (at 4:51) he drops the handkerchief corner to his shoe where, at the top of his shoe is a powerful magnet. The shoelace, with ring attached, sticks to the top of the shoe magnet so that it slides out of the handkerchief pocket.
The “lace” is only the top loop part of a fake lace that sticks to the top of the shoe. That’s why he unties it so carefully- so as to not pull the fake bow off the rest of the shoe.
Bill Lake ok, after going to his youtube site and watching the video close up, it is a little more obvious. It might be just a magnet or it might be a combo/reel with the reel being in the tongue of his shoe. He situates the handkerchief and then drops it straight down while talking. I still think reel is involved slightly because on Pen & Teller, he points out “going through his clothes” specifically, but if there is no reel involved, then its a magnet lace. If it were just a magnet lace, i would wonder why its going into the tongue of the shoe like it did on the Pen & Teller show.
The trick happened here 4:50. He tied the ring to a "magnetic special shoelace" inside the hankies. He dropped the magnetic special shoelace to attach to his shoe as he made a bowing gesture saying "but you don't have to". 😁
Yes at 4:52 the long purple hanky he is holding is hanging down close to his shoe and that's where he drops the ring tied to the magnetic bow gesture shoelace to attach to his original shoelace.
To be honest, how the trick was done was outshined by the reaction of Penn and Teller when he removed his outfit. And when Penn and Teller had been told they are far from how the trick was performed. This has to be one of the best performances I've seen in a long time that made me fall out of my seat laughing. Good luck with your move and thanks for doing a demo magic act for us. Really loved it!!
Ok I think I might have this figured out. When he gets the ring from the "jungle" and walks up to the stage, he already has a loop of shoelace wrapped through it. The ends of the loop are magnetic. When he's holding the ring in his hand at 3:37 he has the loop of shoelace hidden in his fingers. When he puts the ring into the silk, it's actually going into a secret pouch in one of the corners in the silk. That corner is folded inwards to the centre of the cloth during the duration when the woman is holding the ring. (So she is actually holding her ring, but it's through a few extra layers of fabric.) Next he yanks the silk away and it appears the ring is gone. Meanwhile it's in the bottom corner of the silk still hidden in a little pocket. FOR SOME REASON... the camera cuts to the camera at the back of the theatre at 4:50. That's awfully convenient considering this is when all the dirty work is done. He holds the silk in his right hand by the top corner at knee level. The bottom corner of the silk is very close to shoe level. I'm guessing that the ring attracts to a small magnet on his shoe at this moment. Also listen to his speech, he says "the audience is applauding but you don't have to; anyways thanks". He's rushing when he says this. Psychologically we rush our words when we're nervous. I think he's rushing at this point because the ring is now fully exposed on his shoe and facing the audience so he wants to get to the end of the trick. As for the ladder, it's just an added prop to keep P&T guessing.
I think you got it. At 4:52 the ring already is at his shoe, exactly what you would expect if he let it slip through the fabric, which is conveniently in a straight line down to his shoe. However, I can spot it just by going fullscreen at 0.25 speed. Penn & Teller would have had no chance to see it, even if they weren't distracted.
It was a snipe. He knew what they would be likely to look for, and designed it around it. The ring went likely directly from the hanky to his shoes, and they weren't expecting the trick being performed externally (because it's just way more ballsy).
Give him his props! It’s good not to be a magician or know how the trick was performed-that’s what makes it magic. Being in awe is a wonderful experience.
Before she drops the handerchief, the ring is not on his shoe - their are several shots where it is clear (4:34). After she drops it, he holds it by one corner and lets the opposite corner pass by his right shoe (4:52). Once he has done that, the ring is clearly visible on his shoe (4:56). So that seems to be when the transfer occurred, though I'm not sure exactly how.
It's on a string from the moment it goes under the handkerchief. When it drops, he moves the handkerchief down to his shoe completing the illusion. Same as if it went through his clothes, but instead it went "through" the handkerchief. Great misdirection making P&T think it was the standard illusion. Nice twist.
@@AaronHollander314 it looks like perhaps he tied it in a loop as he lead her up to the stage. When he held it up to show her, he was hiding the loop by his grip.
The Ring was placed on a black Loop Magnetic string under the Hanky and droped to the Shoe top which had a metalic catch on it ,when he let her get the Ring notice how he held the string and removed it at one point you can see the Black string on around his Finger like a ring
You know there's a God who sits on high and looks down low! Man cannot make it like this! Larry Flynt! Hugh Hefner! They can take the picture, but you can't make it! Only God above, the Hugh Hefner on high, can make it for ya!
The trick is definitely slightly different from the original. The adaptation is made by using an assistant who has a steel ring, that ring is placed in a pocket in the handkerchief, once the misdirection of dropping the ring the magician collect the ring and transfers it to outside of the handkerchief so that it is delicately hanging by a small magnet. He re-directs the audience's attention to the ladder in which he drops the end that holds the handkerchief to the larger magnet on his right shoe and voila! Nicely done Adrian, nicely done! That is what magic is all about, re-inventing and thus mystifying everyone including the seasoned magicians!
No magnets, if its a genuine ring never seen before by magician he cannot count on it being magnetic, what ring is? Or was she a plant. I think it still went down his clothes. The thread came off when he disrobed, and that suggested he guessed Penn and Teller might come up with that line, if they didn't he could just walk away with his clothes on
The transfer occurred when he said "but you don't have to" and did a slight bow. The cloth end came close to his shoe, so I assume it was some form of magnetic gimmick
Yes defo. Its somehow attached to the cloth which reaches his shoe and transferred at that moment. You can see him pulling up the hankey just after the cut.
And at that point forward you can actually see the ring on his shoe. It's just nice effect to have super shiny black leather shoes and bright lights, so it looks like another reflection - except it moves when he changes pose slightly.
Wait, hold on. So there was an actual trick? After 3:31 I didn't see a damn thing. Next thing I know, that amazing creature is walking off the stage with everyone clapping. Hell, if I had been there I would have been calling out for a encore! Good lawd
The lace the ring is tied to is not part if the lace that binds the shoe. You can see it is coming from between the tongue and the sock 5:55. Not sure what that means, but just noticed it.
Was thinking something like that as well. He was a little protective of the lace when he was fiddling with the lace and letting her retrieve her ring. Perhaps the real ring was palmed and swapped into the cloth for a 'ringer' sorry for lack of a less on the nose term, and he either placed the ring on the ladder on a mech that would allow him to snag it when climbing the ladder or he somehow attached it while climbing the ladder while climbing as well. The editing on this one is a little wonky so its hard to pin down. I do agree that he seemed nervous when allison remarked about his tied shoe. And notice how he didnt remove his shoe or his socks or sock suspenders for inspection.
I am wondering if he tied the ring to a possibly magnetic shoestring while in the hankie and let it connect to the shoe when he flicks the cloth down by his shoe? (4:50) She holds it by the stone rather than the band so it could be her real ring and she wouldn't feel that he tied a shoestring to it.
Its not a reel, but definitely includes a small rod and hook. The transport is the hanky and her lowers it to his shoe. Nice leg and hanky action to finish the catch and pull the stringed ring in behind the tongue of his shoe. Nicely disposes the hanky and evidence in his inside pocket.
The only explanation left is that he lowered ring with a shoelace on a string and magnetically attached it to a shoe behind his back. That would explain why he held the shouelace when the girl examined the ring after. It would take a lot of skill to get it right but no one is doubting his skill.
The handkerchief has a double chamber. The ring is dropped onto a loop with magnets. When he holds the handkerchief with his left hand he manipulates the loop magnets to close and as she lets go of it he drops the handkerchief to his right shoe and through the clapping an audible “click” is herd when the loop attaches to his shoe. You can see it on his shoe. He also covers the “tied laces”. That’s why his shoe was still tied. Nice trick though.
The ring was attached to a magnetic lace loop in his pocket and drop down his trouser leg which was magnetically attracted to the shoe in the right place to give the impression it's a part of the bow. Note: he hides the loop with his hand when he encourages her to check it!
All I notices is that he drops the handkerchief in a way that it goes very close to his shoe. After that you can see the ring in his shoe. When showing the ring once in the ladder you can see that he holds the shoelace in a peculiar way so that the real lace can't be seen. I believe a lace with a magnet is used in the trick.
LOL!!!!! I love it when someone finds something completely random and hilarious that I wouldn't have noticed. I'm going to start clapping like that from now on. ;) 😂
I'm no magician BUT between 4:40-4:54, watch his thumbs. OBVIOUSLY the ring was transported from her to him THROUGH the cloth. Watch the way the cloth is handled so that the ring falls down to his shoe. You can't see it but this is my strong hypothesis. Because from 4:55 on, you can see the ring on his shoe already. The rest of the trick is misdirection. Tell me i'm lying!
First of all, I will say I love this trick, it was well presented, the patter was amazing. But I just noticed at 4:56 that the ring is not on his shoelace but an extra lace protruding from his shoe. I don't know how he got the ring there but that is all I saw
I'm just amazed by the girl he invited onto the stage. From the glasses to the dress and all those beautiful curves! Who is she? I'd love to see her again one day lol!
Maya was his complicit. Her dress& acts were all prepared for the stage. The guy sat next to this single woman at the convenience isle didn't seem to know her. (She sat there before audiences arrived.)....& her beautiful dress sold her out as literally others dressed ordinary...
Dishonesty is not only a part of people but magic tricks and yes the show itself is setup to entertain. The said rules can be broken. As long as it entertains there's no need to investigate. It was a fun show with a nice lady. Good to watch.
Look closely how he untied the shoelace to get the ring. Ooops he didnt untied it thats why he was holding the other end firmly and pulled the lace the other way around. Meaning the shoe lace have magnets. Look closely too that earlier he dropped the cloth freely almost touching his shoe. Securing the ring in shoelace and later locking the magnet and exposing the ring by stepping up.
the ring flew to his shoe through the purple cloth. At 4:33-4:34 you see his right shoe for the last time before the ring gets there. Note how the shoe outline at this time is not as shiny as it is at 4:53 (4:53-5:01). In between (4:51-4:52) he bends down and that is when the purple cloth reaches his right shoe, transferring the ring somehow.
My guess is he tied a loop of shoelace to the ring while he held it under the cloth before giving it to her. The cloth has a pocket inside it so the ring won't fall out for the "vanish" (4:44) you can see he holds the cloth by one corner when he vanishes it, then rotates it to hold by the opposite corner when he lets it dangle close to his shoe. At this point, while hidden by the hanging cloth, the ring and lace are released to attach to his shoe. Not sure if a reel is used, since a thread looped through an eyelet on his shoe could be pulled manually in a number of ways. Or even easier would be no thread and just a magnet? Interesting method but boring effect.
She gave him the ring while she was in her seat. He could have tied it to a loop of shoelace as they walked to the stage. When he holds it up and asks her if she will recognize it later, he could easily be hiding the loop pinched between thumb and fingers. Right after he lets the cloth hang over his shoe, you can see the ring hanging from his shoe.
My theiry is that the lady was part of the trick. And he may have tied a ring that looks like the original onto his shoe lace before the trick. The camera didn't focus on his shoes so no one could see this. He would have also taken away the ring before telling the lady to hold the scarf.
My guess? It does relate to ladder. Magnetic lace ends, ring on, put on step when start to climb as provides cover, right foot engages mag lock, climb to top, reveal. Hold ends when audience pulls ring, return ring.pocket small lace piece. Almost certainly my thoughts are like the old p+t showtime title but lovely routine - ring (stair) flight.
I think this is the right answer. As he's climbing the ladder, you can see a split second (5:49) in which the ring is not on his shoe. At 5:52 it's hidden (and it's magnetically being attached). The next second (as his right food is raised and he says "tied") it is there. For me, then, the question is how did it get on the step of the ladder? For that, there are several possibilities and I can't say for sure. I liked how he kept telling everyone that the ladder was the trick and that he was taking it a "step further". Blatant hints.
@@Jarisha9 Dude the guy has the ring on his shoe way before, just check the video again. He most probably dropped it when they show the wide angle of the stage right after he makes the ring disappear, through the handkerchief to his shoe, probably a shoelace with magnets inside.
if i had to guess he did sleight of hand with the handkerchief around the the ~4:50 second mark as you see him playing with it for a few seconds before conveniently dropping one corner to the shoe and had those "self tying" shoe laces(which have been shown in a few "prank" videos) which allowed the ring to be captured in some manner.

The real magic is "To make Penn and teller say that he let it move through his clothes... And he succeded.. The trick is mind manipulation."
Heah.. its a show people...
it was written, ... &
A scripted one👍✌️✌️✌️🙏
“Take the ladder to the center of the stage”
“All of it?”
Lol.
4:55
Penn: "I'm going to say something to you in code. We think you had the ring on a reel and when you let it go it slipped through your clothes..."
Nieves L. Gil 🤣🤣🤣
So if that was not the reel meaning, what could that code have referred to?
When he puts the ring in the handkerchief, he threads it onto a shoe lace inside a hidden pocket of the handkerchief. The lace has a black steel tab (magnetic). Later, when he takes the handkerchief back, he orients it properly. Then (at 4:51) he drops the handkerchief corner to his shoe where, at the top of his shoe is a powerful magnet. The shoelace, with ring attached, sticks to the top of the shoe magnet so that it slides out of the handkerchief pocket.
Ooooooo. Shhhhhoot!! Saw it!!! Awesome catch.
How does the lace thread through the ring .
Great observation.
That guy could have tied an elephant to his shoe without anyone noticing. What a knockout.. MMMercy
What Guy? 😂
Now that you say it I see it too.
4:50 touching shoe with the cloth
@@Rahul..raj.. ... if THAT is what got the ring tied on the shoe Raj, then that is THE GREATEST TRICK OF ALL TIME!!!
@@sas6561 yeah ,,, i agree with you
Ok I think I might have this figured out.
(So she is actually holding her ring, but it's through a few extra layers of fabric.)
Next he yanks the silk away and it appears the ring is gone.
That girl was Magic!
the thumbnail is the trick. it reeled me in. LOL
Magician: 'Take the ladder to the center of the stage'
Assistant: 'All of it?'
NO, break it into tiny pieces and only take some of the pieces.
haha same thought
Lol right?
hahahahahaha I didn't expect such question. In fact, in the video you can see that I doubt for a second how to respond 🤣🤣🤣
@ she asked because in her mind she was expecting to move only the box. She didn't knew the box was nothing important at that point in time.
Aladin Kejkubat Of course! She was really kind. It was funny though 😉
It was a snipe. He knew what they would be likely to look for, and designed it around it.
The ring went likely directly from the hanky to his shoes, and they weren't expecting the trick being performed externally (because it's just way more ballsy).
I don’t care about his magic but the lady with her curve and she’s so gorgeous. She’s the winner here 😊😄
Bang On!
Deberás que esta buena la doña.
I'm pretty sure at 4:50 the ring is directed to his shoe on a string as he holds the handkerchief over his right leg.
The next part of the trick is how it get tied in the shoelace. I’m guessing it’s fake knot but it really hard to see on the video
The girl was part of the act. 2 rings alike . Thats not rocket science. The ring was given to her upon entrance to the show.
There are no 2 rings and a fake audience member, thats forbidden in Penn and Teller show.
She is obviously a professional.

@@DiegoDeschain I cant lie the amount of disappointment that hits me after the clothes was removed.
I thought it was Jungle
The thread came off when he disrobed, and that suggested he guessed Penn and Teller might come up with that line, if they didn't he could just walk away with his clothes on
Not the ring being magnetic, the shoe lace it's attached to.
The transfer occurred when he said "but you don't have to" and did a slight bow. The cloth end came close to his shoe, so I assume it was some form of magnetic gimmick
Jeremy Ardley 4:51 nicely edited by the camera cutting to wide angle at that point too. Well spotted!
You can also here a click sound. It is probably the magnets attaching. He got the audience to clap to hide that sound.
agreed
The award goes to you, i thought mayas cloth was going to be taken off smh
IVE BEEN LISTENING TO YOU ALL WEEK, YOUR PARTNER THE ARABIC ENGLISH MASTER
Wait, hold on. So there was an actual trick?
After 3:31 I didn't see a damn thing. Next thing I know, that amazing creature is walking off the stage with everyone clapping.
Hell, if I had been there I would have been calling out for a encore! Good lawd

10:58 did you just say "Sana All???" Yieeeee
heard it too
13:09 "audience keep an eye on this"........yes we are😍
I thought in the thumbnail is the magician will took off the ladys clothes, thats why im here 😂😂😂
That's certainly ONE interpretation of the text in the thumbnail ;)
Same here.. 😂
The ring appears on his shoe at the 4:55 mark though...
I absolutely love Penn's face at 10:11 (and I'm sure he loves it too ^^)
That girl who owns the ring is his back up.
Yup. She was seated right off the stage, and she was wearing a mic while still seated.
Forget the magic trick who was the beautiful lady in the dress am I right 😍😍
Yes
Jason that card trick was great.
Tenkai Palm
This seems very plausible
I was just impressed by the beauty of the lady who owns the ring.
Totallh agree you.. Because she got everything like a man like.. Damn...😙😙😙😙😙
4:16 another sexy Latina.
Thumbnail click bait on point, was not disappointed.
The ring was attached to a magnetic lace loop in his pocket and drop down his trouser leg which was magnetically attracted to the shoe in the right place to give the impression it's a part of the bow. Note: he hides the loop with his hand when he encourages her to check it!
5:58 Teller is thinking, "Man, here I am sitting on a mountain of cash, and I still can't get my hands on THAT."
I'm thinking the same thing. The corner he holds ends up at the bottom near his shoe before the ring appears and after he give it a weird fold.
of course.
6:27 I have never seen someone to applaud like him lol
LOL!!!!! I love it when someone finds something completely random and hilarious that I wouldn't have noticed. I'm going to start clapping like that from now on. ;) 😂

"Little something! ".... That was amazing! 😲
Bingo !! The transition from the silk and shoe lace is done when he says "but you don't have to"..
Tell me i'm lying!
something happened @4:52 when he bend down.
First of all, I will say I love this trick, it was well presented, the patter was amazing. But I just noticed at 4:56 that the ring is not on his shoelace but an extra lace protruding from his shoe. I don't know how he got the ring there but that is all I saw
😂 Omg that end. Wow. He was ready for that.
I don't really love magic but now i love the figure of that lady
I was like wooow until I ve realized she already had a ring on ....so sad she is taken....sweet jeeesssus what a woman
There was a magic trick? I just saw floral patterns.

I'm just amazed by the girl he invited onto the stage. From the glasses to the dress and all those beautiful curves! Who is she? I'd love to see her again one day lol!
Right? Right!!?
The magicians wife
A truly gorgeous figure, I would even beg to argue perfect!
I wasn’t even paying attention to his magic... my attention was fully diverted to the magical being he brought on stage. Whoever she is! Discovered.
Hated her glasses but looked like it was meant to come off and strip
Look closely how he untied the shoelace to get the ring. Ooops he didnt untied it thats why he was holding the other end firmly and pulled the lace the other way around. Meaning the shoe lace have magnets.
Look closely too that earlier he dropped the cloth freely almost touching his shoe. Securing the ring in shoelace and later locking the magnet and exposing the ring by stepping up.
She looks very high maintenance lol
the ring flew to his shoe through the purple cloth. At 4:33-4:34 you see his right shoe for the last time before the ring gets there. Note how the shoe outline at this time is not as shiny as it is at 4:53 (4:53-5:01). In between (4:51-4:52) he bends down and that is when the purple cloth reaches his right shoe, transferring the ring somehow.
no one can beat the grandmaster magician long meja in the Philippines...his the best ever...😁👍

I think the trick is on his handkerchief. He lower his handkerchief near his right shoes after the woman released it.

Oooooo you don't have right to judge anybody? Whimsically getting cheated by magician or whatever is not looking good anyway.
short up
Ohh boy I was waiting for her clothes to go down ...now I'm disappointed that he failed in doing magic
My theiry is that the lady was part of the trick. And he may have tied a ring that looks like the original onto his shoe lace before the trick. The camera didn't focus on his shoes so no one could see this.
He would have also taken away the ring before telling the lady to hold the scarf.
You are absolutely right. I agree with you.
Him wife
You know that using stooges in Penn and Teller is strictly forbidden, right?
Plants are not authorized
I too was fooled ...
... by the thumbnail
If you watch, the ring is on his shoe before they open the little box. It's not there at 4:36, but it is at 4.54.
The ring can be seen on his lace , before he climbs the steps
@@Jarisha9 Dude the guy has the ring on his shoe way before, just check the video again. He most probably dropped it when they show the wide angle of the stage right after he makes the ring disappear, through the handkerchief to his shoe, probably a shoelace with magnets inside.

Beautiful by the way.
if i had to guess he did sleight of hand with the handkerchief around the the ~4:50 second mark as you see him playing with it for a few seconds before conveniently dropping one corner to the shoe and had those "self tying" shoe laces(which have been shown in a few "prank" videos) which allowed the ring to be captured in some manner.
The REAL magic was the stunning woman from the audience who was the "assistant" in the show.
I was wondering when he turned around... "Why is there a seam in the back of his outfit?"
Now I know.
