Another brilliant video Skipper and touching on a subject that is perhaps not as well known due to the inoperatbility in sim! In terms of the two systems that operate the WX radar, what is the actual difference between the two systems? Do they route the raw information from the radar itself to differing computers in the aircraft to be filtered?
Thank you! This is a good question and hopefully one that can be demonstrated once full functionality is available. The 2 systems are separate display processors. The PF will usually have the WX displayed if needed but the controls can be filtered between the Captain and FO's side displaying different data on each if needed although in the real world it's rarely used like that as normally one pilot would display the WX and the other terrain but the functionality to adjust what you see exists between each side 👍
I knew what to do... Now I know why! Thank you for your professionalism! Do you intend to make a video to explain the Audio Control Panel? The Fenix uses it for comms with the crew (and Vatsim?)
It is usually quite noticeable on the displays when multiscan is in manual and GCS will only be a factor in the very early or very last stages of flight at which point we have a good idea of conditions. You are right though it fits into the whole airbus philosophy 👍
@@antoniopettini9503 Thank you! We have the Fenix in 2024 now but unfortunately it is not modelled yet. I believe it is on the roadmap. It is a very important feature and it would bring more immersion to the SIM as the weather has a massive impact on real world ops and daily flying 👍
Different display processors allowing pilots to display different tilt or gain on either side, not used often as usually only one pilot has weather displayed irl
I take it the tilt function is a deviation from the angle of attack? So if the aircraft is slightly nose up, and tilt is at 0, the aircraft is going to be looking at weather above you?
Just catching up on the video tutorials, perfect consise explanation and demonstration of the weather radar system. 10/10 Skipper
Thank you Ted 👍
Perfect ! Thanks for your explanations !
Your welcome, thanks for watching 👍
Thanks - have often wondered about some of these controls!
No problem 👍
Great video as always Captain, let's hope WX will be working in the future, meantime, glado yo knows how operate it
Thank you! It would be great to see the radar properly modelled in the SIM 👍
Another Nice video like always
Thank you! 👍
Fantastic ! ❤ these tutorials 👊🙏🏻✈️👨✈️
Glad you are enjoying them, thanks for watching 👍

@@AirbusCockpitCoach Brilliant, thanks for answer!
excellent explanation knew that pws has to be turned on before take off but didn’t know what it’s for thanks
@@dishantlalwani glad you found it useful, thanks for watching 👍

Hello, thank you! I already have a video on the audio panel available 👍
@@AirbusCockpitCoach Your the best! i'll check that Tx!
It's funny. Knowing Airbus, it's a bit surprising that they don't generate an ECAM message if multiscan is in manual and GCS is selected to auto.

very very clear tutorial. Do you think it could be operative in fenix for msfs2024? In my opinion is a relevant part of the simulation

Thanks for this. Why does SYS have a 1 | OFF | 2 position? Isn't it the same system operating, regardless of which pilot is flying?

Yes that is correct
Thx. So the PWS only works if the weather radar system itself is either in 1 or 2 position?
Yes that is correct 👍
