The main riff on it reminds me a lot of Brian Jonestown Massacre (ua-cam.com/video/yc_HG9xAZJ4/v-deo.html). This is my favorite Pelican album in years though!
Still waiting for Pelican to return to those epic songs that were 8-12 min long and really launched the band. Unfortunately it's still not the case here, just some heavy songs that lack soul. Sad to say I haven't enjoyed anything they've released since "The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw".
Just like you, I found 'The Fire in Our Throats Will Bekon the Thaw' to be something I hoped for every time they released a new album. That said, this album is up there imo with that first one I encountered years ago, albeit with a different flavor
Only recently discovered Pelican! WOAHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Totally blown away!!!
Congratulations friend :)
@@cottonkeef5633 thank you kindly!!! I keep playing this on repeat as it is my daily medication!!!
welcome aboard B-)
So fucking happy the original crew is back together. Y'all fucking rule. Much love from Tennessee
I see Pelican I just click and time to pack another bowl 🤘
You should do the same with My Sleeping Karma albums...talk about sublime moments in music especially after having a bowl.
Hell yeah 🤘🏼
Been a Pelican fan for a long time. Album sounds killer.
So much passion and emotion, it's chaotic, calming, and epic all in one.
what a great discovery!
This thing is AOTY 2019. Midnight and Mescaline has to be one of my fav songs ever
HNNNG
Long awaited and so satisfied
Dark and powerful album. 🎶🦇🎶
Amazing album. The outro on Full Moon, Black water really reminds me of a couple of Deafheaven endings though, heh.
