- Neil finally makes it back out to the Goldfields in what would be one of our most challenging trips in a long time.. We struggled getting on the Gold after working numerous spots for a number of days but in the end we managed to find a few pieces. Nothing is guaranteed in the gold prospecting game and these kinds of trips happen every now and then.

@@SavageProspecting I had an evening session this week, too hot to venture out today, but the temp is on the way down again, so hopefully a big day out next weekend.

Had some small bits today myself, poilte boot scrapes as well on the dirt out of the hole. Incredibly frustrating how those small pieces disappear when they are dislodged. Love the dedication to the task 👍. Cheers 🍻

Sounds like the country I'm tramping my way to now , the floods have got the creeks loaded up , Google's snorkel paint brush , can't wait looking forward to leaving the pick and shovel packed away for a change

I would have missed that one at the 5 minute mark mate. I would have been pinging away in the shade 5 metres to the north. Bugger digging in the sun. I'd be useless over in the west!
I nearly did as well, took some delicate work that one. Don't worry I was struggling with the heat especially after the beers the previous night🙃. We had great weather over west most nights we had beanies on!

Not that I would know much about detecting, I have still not found any AU with my 2 detectors. But I know with my sluice, I would rather lots of fine gold than the occasional bigger bit! Still, I love to watch you. I strain my hearing to hear what you do. The faintest of a signal. Cheers mate
@andypandyAU.6669 detecting can be very hit and miss but I think we do it to hopefully hit that big slug one day.
Ken,oath is that not what we're all wanting that huge nuggie, that big specie, that crevice no one has hit in the last 150 years! We are all dreamers. It does happen, all but very rarely ! Keep plugging away at it, I have noticed you are still finding the gold with the standard coil? i'm still drinking my beer out of a Savage prospecting stubbie holder you gave me 2 "Petes sub days back" Love what ya do
