It was 4 or 5 days to set up a 20 cylinder, 50 foot block and redo the setups as the piece lost it's weight. As always you folk make great videos. I feel like I can smell the smells and hear that specific tone of the cut. Music to these old mans ears. Thanks a bunch for the memories my friends. I hope your having a great weekend my friends. Hey Kurtis, I noticed you don't use wooden slats to stand on at the machines. My Dad used them as the springy-ness saved his knees and lower back from extra stress. Basically it's 8 or so 1x4 inch by 12 foot or however long you need on top of the same dimension of slats running 90 degrees underneath. Makes long time standing during long cuts easier on your feet.

Karen and Kurtis, what a machining marathon that looked to be. Is that a world record for the amount of chips made from one part?😄 That is the most amount of chips I’ve ever seen from one UA-cam creator. Thank you Kurtis for teaching me that it’s possible to run two cutters at once in the tool post. I’ve never heard that before. Awesome knowledge to have. I seem to always learn something new every time I view one of you guy’s videos. I hope you guy’s have a great day from David here in the States 👍😊

Nice little filming changeup at the start coming thru the door into the shop with the episode already started, and then the pause for the intro. Creative. Nice. I like watching the changes in the set ups, the routine of loosening things off, making the move, and then tightening everything back down to continue on with the job. All done with steong tools adjusting steong parts. Heavy stuff needs to be secure and set up rightly. Wonderful steel. One would hever think, seeing it as a part in a machine at work just how malleable it is. It's a bit like how solid and fixed everything in our landscape is, until there's an earthquake and all that sand and gravel moves like a liquid. I appreciate the narrative details of how you get the most work done while taking care not to push your maxhinery too hard. How big things can happen to hard stuff so long as it's done right. Throw the dog and bird into the mix and it all gets human and harmonious.
