This show was freaking awsome! And the theme song rocks! Most of the 90's toons rocked! Makes me wish I could go back for a day and watch them all again!
I literally only watched one episode of this show when it was first aired, and yet when I first discovered UA-cam, this theme song was one of the first videos that I sought.
I loved this show not only for its theme song and characters but also because it was one of only a few cartoons that gave us closure to the ongoing storyline.
I miss all the action adventure cartoons from the 90's. Most of the major networks have long since canned their cartoon blocks, now awesome stuff like this just doesn't exist on the airwaves.
Never heard about this team before, but I recognize Rob Liefeld's touch everywhere now, thanks to AT4W. Plus, I was also happy to see other characters appearing here that I saw in other videos of AT4W, like Grifter and Warblade. Also, this song is SUCH A BANGER!😊

I was part of the group of kids chosen to sit in a room and listen to theme songs for this show. As a reward we got all the POGS we wanted. Back then POGS were the thing along with comic books and comic cards.
"Hey guys, we got the contract to write the theme for a new action cartoon" "Cool, what's it called?" "Wildcats" "What's it about?" "No idea, but we have to write this song by tomorrow" "UM, ok.. well, they're WildcatS, right, so it's plural, right?..." "Hey yea!" "...and it's an action cartoon so they are probably good guys fighting bad guys right?.." "Makes sense to me" "Do they have superpowers?" "Don't know." "Well, we can just say they have "powers" then, since that's safe to say about any cartoon hero." "Ok, so they are good against evil and have powers?" "Invincible powers!"
wildcats! wildcats! we're beautiful people! wildcats! wildcats! we have beautiful powers! wildcats! wildcats! more than only ooneeeeee caaaaat! lol that's what i hear
My whole early childhood I kept seeing this opening and theme but never got to watch the show. It was always in the adverts part of VHS tapes my parents rented. Eventually, I forgot about this existed and conflated memories with the X-men cartoon. Man this gives me so much nostalgia for something I never experienced.
I never realized this song is so goddamn cheesy. When I watched this long ago, I never cared about the lyrics. Not to mention I keep mishearing them say "We got the pitiful powers" instead of "We got invincible powers".
Is this a deliberate and obvious attempt to create a show with the popularity of the then immensely popular X-men series on Fox? Yes, very much so. But that does not make it any less awesome.
+Brian Gresham Not really, this was Jim Lee's attempt to further his new company Image, which was a comic company, he went to USA to try to get a more adult style TV show made, however that did not happen, instead of a show that followed his books we got this

Seem to remember this airing on CBS back in the day. The cartoon doesn't really hold up to test of time - unlike the X-Men - but this opening is still as awesome as i remember.
Just by the song, you can tell it's a 90s show.
I've never even seen this show, yet this song's pretty catchy.
Holy shit man 11 years ago! Man that’s one old ass pizza lol
Cuz it's epic
Best cartoon theme song ever
@@EATMAN888 Sure puts the X-Men theme song to shame. I can't believe I said that.
The 80s & 90s had the best theme songs
Nathaniel Lawrence i agree
And the best animation, today animation is cartoonish, while before was cartoons, but also realistic animations as this, Tundercats, He-Man, etc.
Shows damn near don't even have them anymore.
true true
hey dude just 90's because Jim Lee created WildC.A.T.S. in 1992
90's Cartoon Rule: If it's based on a comic, then it's freakin' awesome.
But not this one
@@jasongomez4509 some episodes were better then others admittedly but still those episodes were still good
@@ljevans3156 Still not X-Men. 🤣
@@trealsteve yeah, it couldn't top X-Men or the Batman cartoon. Wild cats were bought out by DC too.

Same !! 😍🤗
Same here.
The show is on the Tubi app
I don't see why people don't watch this awesome show, it's fantastic.
I miss this show. It deserved a longer run.
Growing up during this time, this was one of the many cartoons where all the best shit was in the intro (music included). Ahh the 90's...
I love WildC.A.T.S. I watched it on CBS Saturday mornings, along with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Too bad it was cancelled.
It was cancelled because it was too bad
Cut most content toned down action because it was intense and they removed cursing
I've never seen or heard anything more 90s.
How about the good ol' X-Men intro? : )
Well, try listening to Bucky O hare, Sonic the Hedgehog, Swat Kats... Catchy songs Galore
I think either the Mighty Ducks intro or the Xtreme GI Joe intro is slightly more radical, but only just.
Voodoo and Maul were always my Favs of the team. I use to love how Voodoo would jump up on Maul's back as he thundered along in a full out run.
Say what you want about the show itself, but I'll be damned if that wasn't one of the best theme songs ever.
Never watched a second of the show itself but the theme has stuck with me for a quarter century at this point
@@jgfjgfify It sure puts the 90s X-Men theme song to shame, and I can't believe I said that.

The inro song is amazing :)
This show was freaking awsome! And the theme song rocks! Most of the 90's toons rocked! Makes me wish I could go back for a day and watch them all again!
My old alma matter's sports teams were the Wildcats. This would've made a kick-ass entrance theme for us.
Before I knew of the Avengers, Justice League or X-Men, there was the Wild CATS. Saturday mornings will never be the same.
I literally only watched one episode of this show when it was first aired, and yet when I first discovered UA-cam, this theme song was one of the first videos that I sought.
The only cartoon intro that got me, and, still gets me crunk. I'm 50, and feel like I can talk my way out of this speeding ticket... Betta Whachout!!!
This is DRENCHED in 90's cheese
GalenNight SOO much 90's cheese

I'm up for a reboot of this show. Anybody out there want to see this animated show rebooted?
Depends on how it's done. If it were like Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, then maybe. Why not? But if it were like Teen Titans Go, then no thanks.
I would watch it if you want to know me at all swim on Saturday nights and meet for adults only and all the hard-core fans Who else agrees?
Neither.
If they made it today it would be too childish or too serious.
Let the dream die.
@@philcollinshill2951 it's perfect as it is. A relic of a time that's gone but in the hearts of kids who grew up in that era.

Very nostalgic indeed. My Friday evenings were so alive because of X-MEN, Power rangers, and this! Greetings from the Philippines!
When I saw the name "Jim Lee", I thought this series was created by Stan Lee's son! :P
HOW THE HELL DID I MISS THIS GROWING UP??? I'm all for colourful 90s superhero shows!
Okay, I take it back - I've now seen a couple of episodes and it's pretty obvious the majority of the effort went into this rock-tastic theme song.
Grifter is pretty badass in the Flashpoint Paradox animated movie.
I was shocked/thrilled to see him there. He was always my favorite in this series.
I loved this series! Vodoo was always my favorite character!
I remember this show the woman in red with the swords is my favorite
