I feel as we're entering a time where phone sales are slowing and now support for phones is 7 years from Google and Samsung repairability is going to become a major factor for people. Google has taken huge steps to make their newer phones easier and cheaper to repair, meanwhile Samsung and Apple have taken a very anti-repair stance.
I agree, companies can't keep talking about sustainability, but then expect us to buy a new piece of plastic, aluminum and glass every year at a higher price. Dream phones would have a metal back casing that you could remove to swap out the battery. Every once in awhile I see someone with an S8 active in mint condition and I always bet the reason they were discontinued is because they last so long
I enjoy the videos talking about the industry and the direction in which things are heading. I think Pixel is a brand which people come and go to. Maybe someone had the 3xl, then went to samsung, then back to Pixel 7. That seems more likely to me than being a strictly Pixel customer. Pixel is growing though, so that's a good sign. The more compelling their services become the more likely it is that they continue to grow. They're going in the right direction imo
I feel the same way. Google phones are a great stepping stone for Android in general. Whether it's going to be your next Android phone or the Android phone that you're leaving, it's usually a good experience, but not a heavy commitment
@@TayWTech You said in the video Apple has the best ecosystem. You should take into account that Samsung also makes TVs and Appliances - along with other Smart Home products. That is a crazy amount of interconnectivity in the household; all from one manufacturer. Very underrated.
Z Fold 4 ONLY if there is some kind of extended warranty or protection or guarantee that you will get at least a year or so out of it. Older folds are more prone to problems. If you don't have a solid backup phone in the event that the fold breaks, then get the pixel 8A
