He was actually a pretty average fighter in ability but insane toughness and heavy hands gave him a brilliant career. Good resume no doubt and faced anyone but feel he was just a step down from the very elite, same sort of level as the excellent Kessler but lost clearly to Ward and would of against Calzaghe @Snoozer-vine

I was always team Calzaghe so probably bias but The Cobra never ducked a fight. Massive overachiever which to me is even more impressive than fighters with insane natural gifts and ability, even a genius like Ward had a very tough night against Carl, won clearly but was really roughed up and hurt at points and can guarantee was sore for days if not weeks.
