I'm completely done with crummy "horrors" where a group of bland or annoying teens/20 somethings get picked off one by one, all the while making dumb choices, with endless annoying screaming and lazy jump scares. Thanks for confirming my suspicions! 😂
I just saw the movie, for free. One of the first things I noticed is supposedly they drank a shit ton of alcohol and nobody sounds or acts drunk. Nobody is hungover the next day either.
This is why I have largely given up with modern Hollywood horror movies. They've lost their edge. I am so tired of the cookie cutter, politically correct nonsense from Hollywood. I'm waiting on Maxxine and Terrifier 3, both independent horror movies I might add. Hollywood horror movies from the 1970's to the 1980's were trend setting masterpieces. Now, they are pitifully awful.
I agree man. I used to love going to theaters when a new horror movie came out. We got lucky in 2022 with all the great horror movies that came out that year but now it's like I pick and choose because most horror movies in Hollywood are cookie cutter
In a time everyone expects "elevated" stuff, it seemed like they took the worst and most predictable traits from jump-scare laden teen horror and fused it together. The trailer reminded me of that really boring Ouija movie from 10 years ago...

Honestly I'm not even invested in seeing it because when I last went to the cinema they showed the trailer for this and I swear it could have been a cliff notes version of the film as it seemed to show EVERYTHING. Put me off completely.
It looked like trash from the trailer, and the commercials where they had the Tarots jump scaring moviegoers had me thinking all the stunts means the movie is pretty bad
Sue me. I actually enjoy this film. Solid characters, solid performances, effective jump scares. Great intense scenes, great mood and atmosphere, and great score. And for a PG13 horror films there were some creative kills without being too gory and bloody.
I just saw it. On the positive side the production value was okay and acting semi passable. If I wrote this script I would have concentrated on the woman who was a witch and done a movie about her and her daughter being killed and her sacrifice herself would have been a great storyline and then into the future of a little small clip for part 2 of the young students finding the tarot cards
I saw the trailer and decided it wasn't a priority watch, decided to watch the release of Phantom Menace instead of it, I might watch it next weekend since the new Planet of the Apes seems like the only thing good coming out

I've used "Plot AI" to really push what it can do. I promise you man AI scripting / writing is still not capable of writing what this movie did. Yeah Tarot is super low bar standard/ crap but I'm saying that AI still is currently not quite up to the level yet of even Tarot I can promise that. Best film critic Lee in the world. Tarot is a great movie and I don't give a shit what anyone thinks. You don't pay my ticket so screw your opinions. Lee is the 🐐 when it comes to movie reviews. He's very knowledgeable and does detail analysis without all the woke shit. Lee should make his own horror movies vs these Hollywood woke ass agenda MTF.
I respectfully disagree my friend, the only hindrance for me was the rating. Characters and dialogue could have been better sure but that's not essential for me for these types of movies. I love the lore as basic as it is, Mike Flanagan should go ahead and make a prequel to this haha

And that's the problem with PG-13 and this type of movie. It's ripe for some good bloody kills, but they couldn't do any of it.
I was like "no" from the start just for the title and the rest is splendid with that first NO.
Last Thanksgiving from 2020 did impressed me last night. A lot like Lowlifes but some silly moments. Still, fun from Start to the end.
Yeah I had a feeling haha.
Guess you would call us a CW horror film that’s what I’m gonna start calling these films that they make now
I was really hoping this was going to be good popcorn horror in a monster ensemble kinda way like 13 Ghosts or Annabelle Come Home.. Very disappointing..
Me too man. Me too. Ugh.
never heard of it but i dont keep up with many movies anymore. and for the reasons you mention. lol..Thanks Lee.
Any time!
it is not trash. it was soooo entertaining. going back hundreds of years back, did you not think people thought about friday the 13th as utter trash. boy I really enojoyed this movie, it;s no masterpiece but I can watch it again and again with friends
So glad you enjoyed it.
Horror has been going good for 2024 and now we get this trash, what a shame sadly.
Like I said, it had to happen eventually.
Thanks Paul!
🤣
I respectfully disagree my friend, the only hindrance for me was the rating. Characters and dialogue could have been better sure but that's not essential for me for these types of movies. I love the lore as basic as it is, Mike Flanagan should go ahead and make a prequel to this haha
Flanagan would have made this good. Glad you enjoyed it.
I knew nothing of this and feel I would have been fine if this remained a mystery to me. I know it’s rare for you to have such a strong negative reaction, so when you do, it must be justified.
Oh trust me. This is a whole new level of bad David.
If you would call this a CW horror film
Damn the trailer made it look like a fun movie.
I was hoping because the trailer showed a tad bit of promise.
This script was written by AI . 😅😅😅 that took me out.
It had to be. Just had to Alexi.
I don’t regret watching it for free but if I payed to see that I’d want my money back.
Oof. Agreed.
Well crap ... I had high hopes but guess Im gonna pass.. The ending you did F**k This movie lol
Haha I couldn't stand to talk about it anymore.
Never seen this movie nor have I seen 'Imaginary'. I wonder which is worst lol
So you’re saying this movie is Tarot-ble? 🤣 I had a feeling this would be crap, just judging from the trailer.
Great horror movies are becoming extinct if not already.
There have been some good ones this year though Susan.
It did not really interest me. It looked like a bad movie. Instead go see The Fall Guy! The cover of Kiss' I was made for loving you is solid.
Yeah it was a good cover!
I thought it was not scary but a good watch and creative. The film wasnt terrible at all.
Oh it was definitely terrible.
3:11 ❤
I'm just convinced if a horror movie Is PG-13 the odds skyrocket that it'll be shit
And you're right. I'd say 90% of the time that's the case.
Late night with the devil and the Terrifier movies are the best new/er horror insofar
I’m either going to see the challengers or fall guy instead of this
I heard Challengers is good.
