This is a ton of car for the money and real German handling. Tho made in Mexico. I had a 16 golf sportwagen. Loved it. Had a 14 jetta before. Drive an old free diesel Benz now
Dude. Rev that Jetta. 1.4tsi. Designed to rev, and built for it. ( 2016 Jetta 1.4S M5 owner.) And damn . I wish I had roads like this in South Florida 😑
Test drove one today and just like a 17 golf that I tried the seat bottom was angled way too much, and height adjustment doesn't seem to change the angle at all. It just makes the seat too deep for me, sadly a deal breaker for me :( and I liked vw so much.
I have the S trim, I don't have the leather seats, the stereo with the big screen, or the sunroof. Bought it early 2019 for 11k with about 33k miles. Now that I look at it, would have loved to have those features.
3:41 I thought you were about to be kidnapped 😂 Just playing, but do you think with corona that dealerships are willing to sell for less because of the uncertainty of things or that they’re charging more out of desperation to sell? Or maybe their prices are not really affected? Basically, did you find this to be a good time to buy? That seems to be the case in this video 😆
Ijere Onunaku I believe all of the above happen frequently. It’s difficult to say because there are so many variables in the car market that it can be a good time for many customers and a bad time for just as many others. VW in particular has had a big problem with depreciation due to emissions scandals prior to ‘rona. The value of many used cars took a hit. I believe my car was a good deal and partly because of that.
I’d like to get 18 inch wheels because these are small. The high trims come with that already. I think the GLIs may be 19s - or is 17 to 18. Either way mine are small and make it look a little off IMO
In Virginia that’s an automatic reckless speeding ticket so I would have no way of knowing - but if I were to GUESS, you know - theoretically - I’d say about 3k. Maybe ~2700 rpm ... to guess precisely.
It’s only been a year. Better late than never! Lol… I alway push the clutch all the way - but I am much more fluid now with the whole sequence of motions
I love this car, Im buying 2017 VW jetta SE this month.

I've had a 1.4L "S" since new. Fuelly - at 51,000 miles - calc's 40.8 MPG in 60City/40Hwy driving. No issues to date!!

The opening scene is so peaceful! Lol
Thanks! I kept the nature sounds in there for that reason lol
Believe me enjoy your 16s I wish I could downgrade it's to harsh with 17s
I know cameras can make LEDs appear to flicker when they don't.
True. Mine did not flicker by my eyes naturally.

I assume your car is paid off. It’s worth a lot right now lol
Wow! I assumed it was an automatic. That’s cool, I want one hahaha. But I prefer automatic fo’ now.
I like the color of the car!
I have the SE 2017 one also, how did you get the maps to show on the screen?
Apple CarPlay
Its not expensive to maintain this car unlike audi or bmw its good
I have the same car just modded a little more

The van was scary. Lol. I was watching my back though
Nathan Adams Cars That makes sense. I watched a docuseries on that emissions scandal! & I was asking because I was thinking of trading in my car soon!
The only thing I don't like is the wheel design, otherwise look pretty good

Nathan Adams Cars true. I love aspen wheels, but it seems like no one has it
Nathan Adams Cars btw how high does it rev at 80 in fifth?

Nathan Adams Cars that seems like a good educated guess, thank you! (Lol)
No need to push the clutch all the way in when sifting gears
Sorry. Late to the video. But yes. By all means , always press the clutch pedal to the floor.

Downshifts gave me aids
