From 1952 to 1956 The Milwaukee road create a Train that resembled speed and color. From my home city of Chicago, IL to the St. Paul, MN., this train gave you a gorgeous view from the outside and within. Lead by power EMD E7s before the FP7s took over, let take a trip down a road of a true mighty train warrior.
This is a mixed set of the first edition cars and the 10 car deluxe set dedicated to the memory of a good friend Bob Santelli for he was the one that made this my first full passenger train purchase. Please enjoy the video
Beautiful layout. Thanks for sharing.
Now that's a good looking train!
love the train and the layout. that industrial scene is special.
Thanks for sharing! I GREW UP IN MILWAUKEE IN the 50S AND WATCHED AND RODE ON THE ORiginalL Hiawatha. Walthers Ho models are SPOT ON! But i usually seen "F7S three units doing the front work! tHE OlYMPIC Hiawathas that went way out to seattle were the longest trains! It was a big DEAL when the Milwaukee road introduced those full length dome cars, and the raparound WINDOW TAIL car1 tHANKS TO THE MANY TRAIN BUFFS, THERE STILL AROUND TODAY, USED ON TOUR TRAINS!
Fantastic video. True to life. I love it. How big is the layout?
I have the same E7 locos with the quantum sound! They add a great sound effect
Why don't you show the train "at Speed"???????
Help me why do I see Amtrak equipment in a Hiawatha 1950-55
Amtrack used some passenger cars that were in operating condition, and then repainted them am track colors. Milwaukee road had changed to the Union Pacific colrs because of shared track, before Am track took over!
