Twenty two cars long, "wow' lOOKS GREAT! i NEVER GREW UP, IM 78, AND STIIL PLAY WITH TRAINS! Id have to add andition to my house if i had a train that long!
Excellent presentation my friend, I own many of the same pieces, but you figured out a way to install a red warning in the Observation Dome. Outstanding work inspiring me to do the same in all my Walther's Dome Observations. Point of accuracy, The Dome Observation Lounges only lasted about a year (1955-1956) at the end of the COLA. They were then shopped with a diaphragm being installed and the rear windows blanked (Plates welded over) for mid-train operation. Walthers has also produced this "Mid-train Dome Lounge". Suggest you obtain this car to improve the "1960" accuracy. The car then ran approximately the middle of the train coupled to the Dome Diner. The Dome Observation Lounges were not returned to their original appearance/configuration until the 80's - not all were returned. Thanks again for a Great Effort!!!
That's a lot of cars Kudos to Walthers for bring a great name train to life
Yes, I really wish they would have made the blunt end obs then instead of other named train coming out in a few years.
A wonderful passenger train I wish I could've ride too. I love it!
