Great video, Eric. Our woodworking stories are similar. I started out making and selling Adirondack chairs, tables, and footrests from our front yard on a fairly busy street. All profits went right back into my shop to purchase tools that would shave time off of creating even more projects. It's a win-win process. Nice shop!
That is awesome!
for your sheets of plywood build something similar to a drywall cart on casters
I was thinking that. Something like at home Depot with a lean to it.
@@GearheadDaily exactly my thought, put more "off-road" type of tires on it to make it easier to move stuff outside, looks like the shop is coming along great!
@@krthebro17 Thanks! I will see whats out there for my cart :)
Man that a big transformation love the shop
Thanks bud!
"Little woodworking area" love it!
I've seen a lot of folk who are a LOT worse at woodwork than you! Really like that shop layout and how its come together. The central vac is still one of the greatest additions to a wood shop, made a world of difference in my folks one. After 30 years their scrap/offcut pile is roughly an 8'x4' shed full, 6 feet high :D
Thank you very much! Keeping clean is getting a lot better as i acquire better tools with better dust collection
I think the worst one we've ever had was a wood lathe. Never again.
When you absolutely positively have to make the atmosphere in your workshop highly combustible, just use a lathe without dust collection.
@@PedalBox I've thought about it too and no thanks. I'm good. Hah
A wise move 😆
Great workshop I would love to work in there
thank you! it's evolving all the time!
Wow amazing shop👊🏻
Thanks! Getting better all the tine
Things have progressed, or have they escalated? :D Looking good. Maybe the next addition should be an ambient air cleaner ;-)
What's wrong with my air now? 🤣
@@GearheadDaily nothing wrong with the air, it's the not-air in the air to worry about 😋 I got an air cleaner and it made a big difference in that fine powdery dust that settles, which Maja a guy think about breathing all that. I also have an air quality meter I use to check on occasion when doing stuff too. I'm pretty careful about that sort of thing though, so I like being able to check and see beforr taking my mask off after sanding, for example
@@MosquitoMade Ah good idea, where did you get the meter?
@@GearheadDaily I got mine on eBay. It's a Dylos DC1100 Pro, but they have a few models. This one does 2 readings, .5 micron to 2.5 micron, and >2.5 micron. Most ambient air filters will filter down to around .3 micron, so I figured this one should be good enough. Between my shop furnace (a residential furnace with a filter) and a 1300 cfm ambient air cleaner, I can usually pull it down from 12k ppm large to around 250ppm in about 15 minutes. Ambient air cleaner alone is usually around 45 minutes to an hour. I do a bunch of other stuff than woodworking, and often context switch part way through my night in the shop, including computer building/modifying and playing saxophone, the latter of which is a lot of breathing I would prefer to have cleaner air for lol
@@MosquitoMade Sounds good, thanks for the info
But do you still have the Corvette? 🤔
Nope. I have a 997 Turbo now.
How much are your cutting boards?
Love your shop!!!
@@terrictv801 Thank you, it depends but they start at $180 and go up from there.
This is almost exactly what happened to me lol
Right?! LOL
