I was a 18 year old farm laborer for this property back in maybe 83. Spent most of my time working the extensive 1500 acre fields in the background for about 4 years. Loved my farming days, I would have stayed permanent if it was my family’s farm but of course it was not! I also dug a trench through solid shale to help them put a land line in at one of the pools and spent many an evening up in the hay barn filling it with alfalfa or straw depending on the time of year. Worked some grounds with their main care taker Walt at the time, I remember a Yellowjacket nest in the lower yard by the guest house we exterminated and moving something really heavy in the guest house, maybe a bed or dresser!
