Thanks Alistair, you're just the inspiration I need!. Is there anything in particular about the doors you wish to know. Each door took about 20hours of work to get right and fit all the parts such as lining up the frames, fitting the quarter lights, drilling the holes in the right position for the GTA push button door release mechanisms, handles and wing mirrors
@@alfatechniks887 Well I've just rebuilt steel doors in the process of a full restoration of my step front. It's gone off to trim now, and the gta buttons and windows were functional, but not quite right. The doors will need a bit alignment too if I'm to realise the nice latch click. It'd be interesting to compare. I thought about carbon doors, but believe the rest of the car has to be build around them, as theres not a lot you can do with the fit and finish of the cf. I went the al route instead as a period light-weighting exercise.
It was a bit of a risk I have to be honest going with the carbon doors, but they will never rust at least so done once for life. They are good quality but I had to put in 20hrs of labour on each side to get them right. Good luck with your build and let me know how you get on
