What is your opinion on Dwarf cars seeming to have strayed away from their roots of being a cheap gateway into open wheel racing, and being built out of junk yard car components? 10+ years ago dwarf car parts consisted of Pinto spindles, Chevette racks, Ranger U joints, Toyota differential with a 1k dollar engine from a wrecked bike. Now on new chassis you're hard pressed to find a single part from a production car. Do you think that this has evolved the sport for better into a more professional and serious racing, or for worse into a class that drives away the "grassroots" racers due to them not being able to afford a car that is competitive with these new dwarfs?

Great question! I think it's a natural evolution of the sport. As the popularity of Dwarf Cars rises, things become more and more serious. Naturally, racers are going to step up their game. At a recent WSDCA Nationals event, we had 92 Dwarf Cars show up. I think that speaks volumes as to the health of the sport. The "custom" components are a step up from the junkyard parts. I think they bring reliability and safety with them. A fabricated tig-welded spindle is more durable than a cast-iron junkyard spindle that has been cut and/or welded to modify it for Dwarf Car use. A lot of them are modular in construction, so you can replace just the parts that are damaged or worn. Even though the initial cost of the cars has risen in recent years, Dwarf Car racing is still very inexpensive on a race-by-race basis. Tire wear is minimal. Specialized fuels are not necessary and frequently not allowed. You can still be very competitive running an eBay motor stock off the bike. I think Dwarf Cars is one of the most exciting classes in dirt racing right now!

I can't wait for this series. I loved touring Ernies dwarf car museum out in Arizona and always thought it would be neat to do one of these.

I wish you would touch on the politics of the offset discovery, for those of us not on the west coast and sort of out-of-the-loop as to what actually went down.

Would really rather stay away from that. We support all Dwarf racers, regardless of what chassis they race. Race what you love, love what you race! Thanks for watching.

Real Dwarf Cars are replicas of 1920 to 1940s American made cars. What the hell is this a replica of. Stop making shitty looking Dwarf cars.

The dwarf cars you're incorrectly referencing are made by ernie adams, the dwarf car this gentleman is talking about is a racing classification.

@@jasonadams6346 I am very much aware of that fact. I've been to ernies house. I've spent time with his family. If you knew anything about the dwarf car racing classification you'd know they all look like the one in this video.
