Being able to use wavetable waveforms in FM synthesis is very, VERY powerful! I wrote a software which is a modular wavetable generator. I'm also attempting to write a tracker (yes, that kind of software used by Amiga users) that uses an FM synthesiser with the ability to import custom waveforms (however, you can't have evolving waveforms) that will be, I hope, usable in video games.
Synth is definitely worth a look. The ability to open many instances of effects is cool. You can make a good sound out of the box without resorting to post-processing with third-party plugins.
Looks & sounds very good and quite intuitive to use! I have been trailing the demo, but have noticed that some patches absolutely hammers my CPU... I like very much, however I will wait until a more reasonable pricee comes about 👍

Is that huge sound the result of compression? The tone is great; and not all FM synths have the same tone. I'm very impressed based on this demonstration and I'll have to do some more research on Ghost. I would love to run this through some analog (or virtual analog) filters and effects as I really like that sort of combination.

Serum has FM Modes but is not a 8 Operator Wavetable FM Synth with a Matrix, Serum can not Stack FX, it has kinda better Unison Modes and more Filters. Ghost hast 6 Env and 6 LFO yet, Serum got 8 LFO and 3 ENV with more depth, but Ghost is growing on this. Serum is 189$...is it a 10$ Question? But i agree...for now Serum is a bit more depth, has FX Presets and more Filtertypes and so on...i think Ghost will follow with more Features. Please wait. AT ALL you can Stack every Free Synth you like in your DAW, to get insane, unreal, metacomplex, sounds of any possible kind you just need to look deeper in that synths u owned.
Also... surely it has more than 6 VOICES? Did you mean it has 6 operators/oscillators? I'd be shocked if a VST couldn't play more than 6 voices at a time in late 2024.
Interesting. I think that is a super nitche synth. Most people interested in FM synthesis are OK with a OPsix or if they want the muddiness of wavetable + FM you have serum. I can’t think of a situation in which I need 6 operators with different wave tables. Said that, the synth is amazing and proposes something new, which is great to see in the industry.
What I like about having 6 is that they can be modulators or oscillators with their own output at the same time, so in a way is a synth with 6 independent oscillators too
