Hi,,have twoo Hf1 flashes,,,onley in the shop they say ,,Rc is onley for Olympus,,,and HHS for Sony...right ?.. Use it on Olympus Om 10 mark 4..please info. Grts Eddy
Hi, SC mode on the Hybrid Flash can use Olympus RC mode TTL. You can also shoot in high speed sync through SC mode with an Olympus camera around by putting it in Super FP. HSS can be used with all cameras with a compatible trigger. Here is a link to the Hybrid Flash manual (www.backscatter.com/images/article/content/Hybrid-Flash/Backscatter-Hybrid-Flash-Instruction-Manual.pdf). If you have any questions, give us a call at 831-645-1082.
Hi, we haven't heard of that particular brand, but the Hybrid Flash should work with any optical trigger. As long as the housing has an optical flash trigger it should work.
That's awesome! I wonder how it would integrate to Ikelite hard wired housings, but it sounds like the perfect lighting solution (powerful video and flash & smal/lightweight!)
The Hybrid Flash is fiber optic sync only. To use the Hybrid in manual mode on a Ikelite housing you will need a Ikelite Manual Fiber Optic Bulkhead. www.backscatter.com/Ikelite-Manual-Fiber-Optic-Transmitter-for-DL-and-DLM-Underwater-Housings
No there is a big difference. The Kraken Hydra is a video light with LEDs only, it has no flash tube or capacitor. The power difference between a LED pulse and a dedicated flash (underwater stobe) is significant. Excellent!
1. When is the appropriate snoot coming out?
2. Can you use a stronger battery with it?
The snoot will be available later this year. Currently the Nitecore NL2153HP is the only battery we recommend.
@@backscatteruw The battery mentioned is the 5300mah but there is a newer 6000mah battery, is it compatible with the this strobe?
The 6000mah Nitcore battery will work, but through are testing there is no significant improvement.
Great product!
does this work with seafront housing for a Nikon cameras?

No TTL support for Sony a7rv? Or how to make working in TTL mode on Sony a7rV?

It’s the same idea as Kraken Hydra, but the kraken is 15000 lumen and this is 5k, right?
