based on what we have seen from masai, he doesnt pick the draft pick that everyone is talking about coming to toronto. so i dont think its kel el ware.

I wouldn’t be shocked if Masai picked somebody people are hardly talking about as a first round pick. I wouldn’t be shocked if he actually picked Mogbo (Scottie’s Buddy) at 19 even though most people have him going in the high 2nd round. You just don’t know with this draft. The fact this is in the media leads me to believe it won’t aware. Guys like Ware and Edey will be gone before we pick.

@@mikeyjames i can see masai trading the 31st pick to like portland or pacers who have 2-3 2nd rounders in this draft. could be 31 for 34 and 40 from portland. or 31 for 36 and 49 from pacers. pacers may value a filipowski or a furphy who are 3 pt shooters who are available at 31.

I would never, ever take a player whose motor is under question. The NBA has long, hard seasons, and the players that succeed don’t need to be motivated.
I agree. But maybe he interviewed and worked out well. The front office must have enough confidence in their staff to coach him up like Mike Woodson. Personally I'd take Missi. His defense is playable right now (the reason teams like the Lakers and 76ers like him).

That's a mock draft where Carrington, Da Silva and Edey are off the board. Don't think they're taking Ware before the first 2. Maybe over Edey.
Edey will be gone by 19th pick.

@@b7sys NY can still bring back OG but they have to let IH go. Thus NYKs are reportedly trying to trade up to draft a center like Edey or Ware.
If they don't replace Hartenstein they're a wash. Jules can't play defense, they're interior defense is GONE.
Carter or Cassels are two players Raps could use, young, and will fit right in - Knecht is intriguing and can play immediately, however we have a player like him in Grady. Carter is a realistic shot, maybe he falls, could trade up a few spots to get him.
Raps don't need a center, unless they move off of Jak. And then, it takes centers longer to adjust in the NBA, so Ware or Edey will most likely have a tough (learning) season. Between the 2 however, I want Edey. Him and Clingan are the best 2 centers in this draft.

Imo, guys who jump up draft boards in a month after a few good workouts and a combine don't mean shit. You're still the player you were a few weeks ago.
A guy like Edey is an early 2nd rounder who got picked 9th. He is not a real lottery pick, even in this draft.
Consequently, higher rated guys who fall because of a weaker combine are steals. It's such shortnsiggted and almost useless barometer to impact any player's ranking so drastically from one month to the next.
I'd be surprised if Edey is still there at 19 after all the talk he's been getting from other teams too.
NY is trying to move up to draft a center. I like Ware- think Dereck Lively type but with a jump shot, but he most likely will be gone by #19. I think Edey and Ware will be drafted before #19 which may pushed down someone like Isaiah Collier. I don't like Missi and #19. Rather draft Bona at #31 and draft best player available at #19. My dream draft for Toronto is Ware at #19 and trade up for Holmes II in the 20s using the #31 pick as trade bait. Gives the Raptors bench some size at the back up center and PF spots as well as stretch shooting possibilities.
I doubt we are going to get Ware without moving up. I'd actually be fine with Edey, but I don't think he will be there either at 19.

C 7'0 Kel'el Ware and PF 6'9 DaRon Holmes would be a sweet draft. Raps would most likely have to trade up to the 20s using their #31 pick to draft Holmes II.
Ware is projected at 17, its possible. I must be one of the few not on the Edey hype train. He's going to be a fairly standard to good nba center imo.
Projected don’t mean anything. Look at Cam. That being said I wouldn’t be shocked if Ware goes in the lottery. You just don’t know with this draft.

we have seen last 3 drafts, masai pick players no one was saying they were targeting. so i dont see that changing. masai will surprise us with who he picks.
I want Edey so bad, but I'm afraid he will be gone by #19, so we'll have to trade up to get him. I actually don't mind getting Ware, though, I just need us to get a big man period. We need to be able to replace Christian Koloko, if he never comes back. I don't think any team right now will leak any info on interest in Edey knowing teams will take him before other teams.

@@highdough2712 no I disagree Edey can't shoot long range no 3 point game he just In the paint scorer his defence is very poor also. Ware is more well rounded for a big.
Eddy might be the better player right now, but Ware has the higher upside.
@@user-sn8sw2vi8z First off, his defence isn’t poor. He’s a better interior defender than Ware is. He’s also a better inside scorer, better rebounder and, most importantly, is consistently very hard working. The NBA is a long, hard grind and players that need motivation don’t tend to last very long.
