Extremely Harsh test on the GWM.Contradictive of what was said a few months ago in a video..
It's interior is first class for starters, and I don't understand how it had the worst rated running costs, when it has the same 7 year warranty as ssangyong, but even has capped servicing..
Almost feels like someone at Ford and or other big companies told you to talk up there severely overpriced utes, and trash the severely undervalued GWM's that they are shit scared of..

I'm just going to say what many of you probably also suspect: this isn't so much a comparison video as it is a ranking of utes by how much the manufacturers bribed, errr, sponsored the channel. For that reason, I would be sceptical of all opinions and reviews from this channel.

I bet the bottle of Christmas scotch is now Jonny Walker Red label.
The fact is they spread bullshit thinking everyone is as stupid as there target audience.
Also let's not forget if I remember correctly that wheels car of they year was once the Leyland P76.
Forget cup holders and important stuff like that, the trump card, the thing that really had me sold was that I could put a 44 gallon drum in the boot.
Now you never know if that is useful or not, but heck could come in handy for some reason beyond my imagination.
I saw a review recently where for a Mitsubishi Triton, the reviewer ( read WANKER here) pointed out the top of the dashboard was hard plastic and not soft.
Well I didn't plan on making my head against it and frankly I've heard of tyre kickers when people look at cars, butt head butters??????
      What a load of horseshit.

Just bought a Musso. With lift kit, tyres, canopy, racks and heaps more $11k of extras for $45k.
Still cheaper than all these cars except the GWM. now the ride is awsome better clearance and carrying. It's the quietest ute I've driven.im happy it doesn't matter what test reviews say. I go to Fraser Island alot and the most towed cars I see are hiluxes rangers and navaras.

  • @simonmiller5118
    @simonmiller5118 3 роки тому +21

Why did the Musso rank LAST in performance which includes braking performance when it was fourth best in wet braking? And how is it that other testers have recorded sub 10 second 0-100 times with the Musso? (See Car Expert 9.92 seconds). I would have thought the woeful wet braking performance of the Ranger would have seen it relegated towards the bottom given it took seven metres longer to stop than the Musso? That's the difference between missing a pedestrian or killing them.
I'm not sure this so-called ultimate torture test delved properly into all areas of what ute buyers want. What about fuel economy and everyday driving comfort and refinement. When I test drove the Ford I was expected to be blown away, but I was seriously underwhelmed by an overpriced and somewhat dated vehicle. But the Ranger just kept coming up trumps in this review. And where is the Amarok BTW?
Maybe you guys need to go back to the drawing board when it comes to UA-cam. Looking at the number of subscribers (less than 28K!), the negative comments, and the thumbs down ratio it's clear something ain't quite working.
I have purchased more copies of your magazine over the years than I care to remember, since I was 11 years old in fact. High price as well had high service costs also makes it a poor choice for most.

I’ve got a amarok 2017. They replaced the starter motor in warranty, after they failed to diagnose it several times, and had road assist called several times, and went back to vw on a flat bed truck.
      Ongoing DPF issues.

I know you guys claim you go into this without any bias but after watching the comments about GWM cannon I am not that sure that you arent bias against the Chinese utes even if you dont realize it, I have owned the cannon since May 2021 I have had it on road and off road and I tow my camper trailer pretty much every few weeks and I have to say I pretty much disagree with almost everything your guys have said. Towing I just turn off lane assist put it into sport and she tows beautifully . Off road she hasnt missed a beat especially on the beach where she spends most her off road life and in my view fantastic look in the cab and rides like a car on the road smoother than any of the utes I have driven previously and I only own the base model so not sure what you guys were driving but it certainly wasnt what I drive you must have got lemon , If I was going to have a whine at all it would be four things no back interior light in the cab a lag in the turbo and the accelerator is not smooth and the on going self clean which in themselves are ok but if they dont do a proper clean you have to do a manual clean which is 20 minutes and usually come up at the most inconvenient moments like going to work making you late as you cant drive while a manual burn is taking place. I have had to do it twice but all in all I have no real complaints about performance mine costed 35000 on the road and I have no regrets what so ever it does everything I need it to do and more
