    The intro sound is fantastic. Taken from a station I used to go to often when the HST's were a regular sight screaming away into the distance. I enjoyed the bridge building in real time. Shows how much care you take getting everything in position. It will be interesting to see a detailed look at the factory being built which incidentally looks very like one by the track side in my area.

    Nice job on the girder bridge - just the right amount of rust and grime. Looking forward to the linoleum (well done on not mispronouncing that one!) factory build. It's good to have a little bit of artistic licence. If it was all to scale it would dominate the corner too much. Look forward to your Novmebre update! ;-)

Fabulous details and the luggage trolleys look amazing ... I’ll head onto your Facebook page to see if you have located the source of the 3D prints. Dave, that has made a big difference to the edge of that board on both sides and the middle support to the tunnel, looks just right. I like the way you research and even make a mock-up before the built and now with the retaining wall and tunnel entrance made, it should complete the attention to detail quite nicely. Martin. Hi Dave,
    Loving the layout, really coming along well now. The grass and scenery colours are spot on!
    If i may what is the brick plasticard you are using, inspired me to make me own retaining walls.
    Cheers

    • @DeanPark
      @DeanPark  3 роки тому +2

      Hi. Thanks 😊
      I use south eastern finecast bricks. For three reasons;
      they come in various types (I use Flemish bond for the walls).
      They are more of the correct scale compared to wills sheets etc
      And finally, they come in large sheets, so hiding joins is easy behind a buttress wall!
      Have a go! It’s hard to get ‘off the shelf’ walls that fit your layout, hence why I started to do my own.
      Cheers
      Dave

    Nice video and nice work, some inspiration for when I get started with my layout. I have some Jouef mk3 coaches which i'd started drilling and inserting brass pin point top hat bearings and replacing wheels, this made me notice on my new hornby mk3's there is a lot of axle freeplay between pin points is this normal for them?

    Dean Park as a reflection of your modelling skills and eye for detail never ceases to amaze me. However, how resilient is it to the temperature fluctuations and extremes given its loft location? How do you protect it?

    • @DeanPark
      @DeanPark  3 роки тому +1

      Hi. If sealed and supported it’s very robust. If it’s thin mdf and you’re making walls out I’d it I’d always brace it behind, and it all gets sealed with spray primer.
      Thin Mdf, just like card does not like damp, my loft isn’t damp thanks to good air circulation and the insulation foil, which helps a lot.

    Yep that intro took me back to the 90s summertime with my bro and cousin sitting on our bmx's waiting on the sprinter to bathgate usually getting told off for riding along the platforms. Then the guard's wouldnt let us on if the train was too full sometimes 2 or 3 trains later we could. Screaming valentas and black soot shooting out the roof, In between the rails full of oil and diesel, there where fishplates missing on tracks and class 37 and 47s would bang over them. The never ending queue of taxi cabs flowing down the ramps. The place was full of noise and black blue smoke. It was great for spotting all the scotrail express 47s, the 91s, 43s, 37s and hundreds of 156s. Happy days indeed Dave. Great update on the layout..
