Looking great Dave, your attention to detail is astonishing you are part of a group of modellers who like to have a area as good as can be done. What had always fascinate me about railways in these islands of ours is the architecture that has gone into stations Retaining walls tunnel portals etc. Not only are they functional but they are beautiful as well. Your recreating that and it looks great. As always thanks for sharing not only your wonderful railway and your knowhow with us I for one have learned so much. First Look at your site - really interesting. What I like is that at first glance it appears to be a really simple layout, but as you go though there video the detail is amazing. Another excellent update, like the look of the new micro WWS static grass applicator very useful for getting into tight spaces and small areas, thanks for the review, might have to look at buying one. Andy
The area between the tunnels looks great. A little of that textured paint and a sprinkle of fine turf on the top of the walls ledges is about all I can think of. I think the platforms look a lot better now with the darker track, a lot of oil dripped out of the DMUs where they stood. I like the litter as well a small detail but big improvement to the scene.
I think your detailing around buffers in the station are perfect añd almost real, particilary with the train leaving in the background. Litter in and around the tracks provides a perfect finish . I have been following your progress for sometime now and eagerly wait for more. Steve J..
Another typically brilliant layout there Dave. So much inspiration there for anyone tackling lineside scenic works. Your "how to" clips are really good as with all you do on this.
@@DeanPark I think it will be particularly so when my layout is back from the builder, but maybe more so for all those people out there at different stages of their layout journey, your 'how it's done' and products you use are really useful and one can see the end result as the whole thing gets further and further completed.

Hi Dave you have made good progress on your layout just watched Everard Junction and now i am watching you you both are insperations for my layout keep them videos coming.cheers and all the best. Nicholas.
Hey Dave, another brilliant update. The tunnel opening part of the scene has worked out super effective - the 20+ hours of work are there to see, and it's impressive. Looking forward to how the garden part next to the station turns out. I was watching the littering part and was astounded at the tiny wee tickets.. then when I saw the newspapers, and I was thinking it'd be a laugh to joke in my comment about how you'd probably want the newspaper headlines to be time specific, then you only go and confirm that they are! Unbelievable!! One other thing that I wanted to mention is a lighting idea that keeps popping into my head. As you may remember I'm not into the modelling scene, just a fan, so I'm unsure how viable my suggestion will be but here goes in any case. You would probably have to have this custom made, but to have an LED strip lighting system in a configuration above the layout, avoiding shadow projections via the loft beams. In my (overambitious?!) mind it'd have varying daylight simulating, programmable hues which could possibly even be programmed to simulate various daytime and night/moon settings. It'd probably only cost a few thousand to have designed and installed (lol) but by god, it could really end up with some wonderful lighting and shadow results on the layout. I just think it's a shame that you guys go to so much effort on the tiniest of details, only for it to be somewhat diminished via harsh striplights. If I could draw a diagram, I would. Anyway, probably an unrealistic idea, but thought I'd share in any case. All the best.

Hopefully saves me doing parts again in 4-5 years! That lighting idea sounds good. I would love to have a lighting set up that allows auto dimming etc so I can film dawn and dusk shots etc. But as you say, that Is probably going to cost a lot of money. Maybe not cost effective.
