Great stuff! I'm enjoying Bingeing your channel this morning.. I have a quick technical question for you if you don't mind. So at about 1:33 here it looks like your audio setup is a mid/side array using a SDC and a ribbon mic, but on it's side -which I've never seen before.. It sounds really great. If you felt like saying anything about your thinking on that I think it would be interesting. And it looks like it's centered with the guitar but pointed downward(?)
Hi Eric, thank you and I'm glad you're enjoying the channel. The mic placement is mainly because I want the series to feel more like someone is catching a living room show or green room warm up so I didn't want microphones in front of faces. I have Stager sr2n ribbon mic at guitar level positioned at an upward angle to reject the guitar and a Beesneez lulu fet (km84 clone) angled down to focus on the guitar. The position there is just an easy way for me to place it with a ribbon mic and not have to worry about phase issues. There is still plenty of bleed in the mics but overall happy with the sound of both mics for a live setting like this. Thanks!
If I could be one of those strangers for you.... I surely would. What a beautiful, beautiful song. Thank you Beth Wood...
Beautiful song, sung with passion.
Beth is awesome!!

You need to get teamed up with Jupiter Coyote again! It would be epic music
