Will Ferrell must be proud
I don't know about y'all but for me when listening to Sierra sing takes me to a good place. I'm back at my grandparents farm house sitting around the kitchen table drinking a cup of Sanka instant coffee, Grandma humming along with the AM Country station and Grandpa telling some old story. I hate when her songs end as I am drawn back into reality of my day but it was a nice break and for that I am thankful. Weird, yes I know but thems my cards folks.
The cameraman was like: "let's focus on that space in between the people"
The pauses she makes in the song are brilliantly crafted. Not only is she a lovely singer but she is a top level songwriter as well.
I am old man from Kerala, a southernmost state in India. Listening the song, Ms.Ferrell, I was on the verge of whimpering. So beautifully sung…!
This is American music.
I love the "space" in this song. It's sweet and sparse like someone sitting on their front porch playing after a day in the field. She gets it! I've played with too many people who want to make every song "Free bird" and this is refreshing!
In this gorgeous performance of one of her most beautiful songs, Sierra lets her "jazz mind" and "punk soul" defer to her "country heart." As always, Nate Leath's fiddle accompanies her perfectly.
It’s a funny thing. I come from poor people, albeit not dirt poor. Somehow I found myself at UNC. I found a mentor, together we read the Great Books. First on his reading list was the Bible. Plato and Shakespeare were dear. And yet this particular education resonated with my background, because it was really about life. Likewise your music resonates with my spirit. Keep it up. I thought all that was worth mentioning to let you know the reach of your music. Anyone with a classical education can feel what you’re putting out even if they don’t come from where you do, as I’m sure you’re aware from your conversation with Jordan Peterson. If you still talk to him, let him know there’s a dying breed of classical teachers out there in our universities. I admire his project to restore education to its former glory. - Vaughn Ottewell Pierce, 24 years of age
That voice could melt a stone.
I keep returning to this simple song. When I saw that she wrote it herself I admire it even more.
If this doesn't make you stop, sit and listen I don't know what will.
Sierra is a breath of fresh air for the country loving community
Yes Ma'am West Virginia Mama Here and Gladly so . God Bless you in all your days .
It doesn't get anymore country than this ! Singing from the ♥
Her voice is an obvious beauty, but I love the extended instrumental break covering an entire verse and chorus so early in the song. They play well together. Love this
Dont look at the camera... Sierra looks at the camera for a split seconds and everyones heart melts.
This woman has brought back traditional country!! I was randomly talking to this guy at the bar and he told me about her. Ever since then,I been listening to her music. She's such an amazing artist.
Nate Leath is so fantastic in this session too, love this song.
IF music can heal , this is the one.. Her voice soothes my troubled soul.. I just want to be here..
