Dung Tien it means before she died was she dead inside,so if he gave her love he could have bring life back into her life before she really died..
all the trauma and the hurt she went through didn't kill her, but it killed her spirit. she didn't want to live anymore, so she may as well have been dead in terms of her quality of life.

Thank you ! Well the show is about a girl who killed herself. But before she dies she made 13 tapes, each tape represents a reason why she killed herself. You can see the trailer on youtube tho !!
You can't love someone back to love, you can try... but you can't.
A R, at that point, I don’t think he literally means he can raise the dead. But he can save people from emotional and spiritual death. The kind Hannah experienced before she killed herself. You can save a person by interacting with them, showing that you care, that their life means something to you. It just might be what they need. Just don’t ignore it when people are hurting.

What I really expected in the first place was that she fell in love with Jeff Atkins, Jeff tried to save her but he ended up dead because of the car accident and whatnot. She became empty loss, like what she told the counselor because there are 13 reasons why and Jeff is one of them.
But when I watched the whole season my expectations were betrayed, and I was glad that this wasn't what I expected to be as a cliche love story and I really like and can relate to Hannah.
