As a loyal Marvel Legends Stan, I’m starting to give up on Marvel Legends. Hasbro’s Marvel Legends team has been very consistent with creating let down after let down with the line since 2021/2022. My excitement for the line is almost completely gone now. At this point, I already have high expectations of seeing lackluster BS reveals from Legends during the upcoming 2023 SDCC (their reveals at last year’s SDCC was pretty boring as well. Their 2016 SDCC presentation will forever be GOATED, though). I’m jealous that the G.I. Joe: Classified line is getting such special treatment, but the Legends are beginning to decline. Just as how Mattel ended up killing the DC Universe Classics/DC Multiverse line towards the last years of them having the DC action figure license, I’m starting to get that same observation with Hasbro and Marvel Legends. With increased prices and low quality product continuing, I don’t see Marvel Legends thriving too much longer. And that pains me to admit it. But if they don’t quickly make the right decisions for the life of the line soon, the end of an era may be approaching rather soon. Well, Hasbro has had the Marvel Legends line for going on 17 years come towards the end of this year and they officially started taking the Legends line truly seriously in the end of 2013/start of 2014. So I guess I can say it’s been a fun 9+ years while it lasted. 😔
Man, I feel your pain and I’m doing my best to hang in there as a Legends fan. It is definitely upsetting as a Legends fan to continuously see downer after downer while seeing Joes get all the love and I love Joes! Joes is the best thing consistently coming out of that company. I wish Legends showed that same amount of consistency.

Way too many inconsistencies to even be enthused anymore. I wish more Legends collectors would be vocal about this issue (and either stop buying the 🚮 or at least let them peg warm in stores and online until they go on dirt cheap clearance prices), but I guess a lot of people would rather pretend it’s all good. You and Manny are the types of ML fans that I can appreciate that speaks the truth. I totally feel you guys even though I don't buy ML outside of MCU characters that import companies don't make. I would be absolutely pissed to see a line that I love gets these type of treatment by the companies that makes them. It shows that it's more about dollar signs than for the fans like they always want to claim.
It makes sense Hasbro would keep their own franchise on top, that being GI Joe. It is Marvel that should be complaining to Hasbro when they renew the contract.

Well I was excited about that Starkiller and Stormtrooper reveal. Until I heard the price. Absolute madness. Six arm Spidey and Moebius are as bad as the Heralds of Galactus two pack with the old Terrax fig. Chuckles nah. Sniper girl looks like a kit bash of Movie Scarlett and Lady Jaye's arms. The character looks interesting but the janky proportions are jarring. Crimson Sley Viper looks pretty good.

I honestly would rather see G.I. Joe crossover with the Alien and Predator franchise and imagine Cobra using the Xenomorphs as their new weapons to take over the world and it’s up to the G.I. Joes to eliminate this threat and they would be assisted by the Predators to annihilate the Xenomorphs.
Just Have the Joes being hunted by the Predator(s) and kill off some iconic characters in the process, end the 1st movie with Cobra hatching some Xenomorph eggs, gotta build out a franchise these days

Collectors forget that with the large amount of figures revealed in a year, not every reveal is meant for us. We just had a million awesome Spider-Man figures, comic con is in a week. Maybe this box set was never meant for long time collectors.
Nobody likes to think like that and it’s so dumb, people start collecting every day, I started last year and never got to get a Deadpool, but this set is perfect for me but according to these long term collectors since DP was made they should never make it again I guess

What you talking about single joints on modern black series are amazing maybe because early examples were a bit ruff but I do recommend you give them a second chance. Note I do think black series should have more figures with ult hands but not for everyone but definitely clone troopers and Jedi
And you know that diaphragm is only going to have the slightest bit of “crunch” range too because Hasbro can’t do ball joints lol. Blows my mind that they put the cost into tooling this new torso haha.

This is EXACTLY why I am walking away. Canadian prices are out of control. I just saw NEW Marvel Figs going for $40, with minimal accessories, so you know the Classifieds are headed there as well TRU and their Classified Pricing is a JOKE. I think it may have been to test the waters on a Price Increase. I see many of these Lines Dying this year due to the economy taking a beating, high interest rates and the PRICE GOUGING of the Consumer on all fronts. When prices keep going up, people start cutting back and become more picky on what they buy. I will laugh at Hasblo when their Share Price and Quarterly Profits fall off a cliff. I’m kinda sad with the morbius and six arm spidey reveal like as a spider-man fan I just wish this release was better the morbius should have been based off the animated series and spidey should have been a new mold and it should have had double ball set up like Peter b Parker would have worked better for torso movement he should have had all three set of hands for his costumed hand and then for the flesh hands he should have had open hand and wall clawing hands and maybe twipping hands even if doesn’t make total sense you could give them to your Peter Parker marvel legends for some photography. My final rating is 0/10 they took total caca then somehow made it worse
Shooter's shoulders look really bad but with good posing, it won't be an issue. Overall she looks good. I will have to paint that Rifle though. Just plain grey looks so bad and cheap. I assume it will also be super gummy as it seems they are trying to save money by using the gummiest plastic for the weapons now.
I've said it before, Hasbro is destined to take the fun out of action figure collecting. Thankfully there are other companies making quality products more deserving of the collector's dollars.
With the new prices I’m having like mental battles on whether or not I should get the figures. I think I’m going to slowly phase out buying Hasbro stuff and get on the Loosecollector train, those figs are amazing

I have to disagree with the Spider-man 2 pack..... so many of us jumped in after those figures were released and with this being exclusive it gives people like myself a chance to get em. . The star wars exclusive........ definitely going to buy several for the effects parts and hands to customize.......... AFTER it goes on clearance........they'll be 35% off before we know it.
We as a community have to fight back with our wallets honestly. I am not interested in any of these figures that are still in the coffin box packaging . Forcing me to open and inspect my orders. The price alone for RE USABLE figures is very disappointing and disheartening observing Hasbro and Disney plunge into the ground. I have also scaled back because they no longer stick to comic accurate characters. I actually wait for clearance and end of the years mark downs. Yesterday I picked up the entire Marvel Legends Controller wave all 7 figures for $8.00 a pop. What a find and I got a build a figure out of it.
Yeah but remember that Mindbender is a way more popular and beloved Joe character. Chuckles isn’t. He’s actually hated amongst majority of Joe fans. If he doesn’t go on clearance then oh well. Just more examples of how much Hasbro doesn’t care about us collectors. They’re trying to screw us over again with their price hikes and less accessories. Companies like Valaverse are actually lowering their prices instead of raising their prices like greedy Hasbro.
I always liked the IDW version of Chuckles but I don't want to pay that price for what looks like a Fortnite figure that head sculpt just looks too cartoony....it's a shame really because the accessories look awesome

I have to disagree with you here. I think that Chuckles is both awesome and a good offering at that price range if in fact it is going to be that price.
They can pepper in other lines for classified, so long as they dont go whole hog on any particular one. Im here for ARAH Joes, so I just skip the others, but I dont mind other collectors getting their fix. SO long as they dont pull a u-turn and start designing figures exclusively for this crossover they are pushing ( after abandoning it before. Why didnt they do M.A.S.K instead?).

It looks like 2023 for Hasbro is the year of using old bucks & charging the most they can. The Terrax/Fallon 2 pack must of let them know its a bad idea, as in peg warmers. This is in response to Valerverse price drop. They are charging $110 for 3 figures. Can't think of any reason why Hasbro should retain the license to make anything. Decades old bucks, still using pin joints, lack of accessories. Top it off with stupid prices. That Joe female with the Jankie shoulders reminds me of the Toy Biz ball joints on their old DD. Not buying any at these prices.

absolutely agree with you on the 6-arm 2-pack is the perfect example Hasbro is full of shit. They're probably gonna tell people "due to budget" reason this set can only get a new torso and the sheep will go "oh wow, I totally believe you". sidebar; single joint elbow or knee I don't mind as long as it has the range. quite a few of my recent Figma purchase has single elbow or knee, but still has amazing range of motion.

Hasbro has been putting out $40 “deluxe” vintage collection SW figs (3.75 inch)! They’ve become unsustainable to collect their lines. 😢 I personally believe it shows how bad the company is doing - sorry Hasbros. Poor distribution, lack of quantities, constant price hikes, hit and miss quality…For the biggest toy company in the world that I grew up with since the early 70’s it makes me sad.
Truth bombs, great video I got the original 6 arm spidey in a collection I bought last year and honestly I don't see enough here to replace it. I was digging that Force Unleashed pack until I heard the price, NOPE. Love that game but not worth it. THANK YOU, I believe you are the only other Joe fan who isn't a fan of Chuckles like me, I just never understood the appeal even after reading his story in the Comics. I do laugh at the fan theory that says in the cartoon movie Chuckles was actually Snake Eyes cause he did not talk LOL. Then new Joes are kind of Meh to me. Mole Rat almost looks like he belongs in Eco Warriors minus the brighter colors. Thank god someone else is talking about this. Re releases of old figures as a 2 pack with a big increase in price. honestly there are toooo many spiderman and other figures that are same builds and slightly different head or eye shape and or color tone.. THey do it with a lot. Riot is just Monster venom painted blue, even the tendrils are in the same locations, just new paint and head. Hasbro is just flopping with figs lately and price hikes are abysmal. Im looking more at 3 zero, Mafex and others now. I swear the quality is much much better. Also anyone else notice how weak the figures are becoming, its slike soft plastic bendy material, hands and joints break with ease. attachments dont fit unless forced and then break. Back in the day, we had hard plastic solid built figures, now we get bendies with windowless packaging to save on plastic. Seriously...enough Hasbro...there are competetors that make better figs for the same or less. Great vid by the way, just needed a vent session.

Chuckels is a clown lol. I got into a whole fight on another channel about him. Every one jumped me and defended Hasbro and said that it's impossible for them to have physical products on hand at comic con. It wasn't that long ago when they always did. It was really sad to be assaulted by grown adults for talking about how things used to be and all to defend a company that doesn't care about us at all.

Not just action figures, in fact there is worldwide inflation well documented. is hasbro also at fault for the rising cost for a carton of eggs too? I still think Marvel Legends is the worst Hasbro line with Star Wars Black series a close second. GI Joe Classified has been the better one even with the ups and downs.

Just have to say, the bonus figures from the Haslab are not free. They are part of the base offering, they will just release them if they get enough sales. They are not risking what those figures cost and handing it out for free. Basically, if they don't hit the tiers, you will get what you want but they are pocketing an extra $50 for figures that should have came with it. Just saying
That’s not how I look at it. If they were part of the base offering than we would get it from the start without worrying about backers to hit the stretch goals. Base offers are guaranteed.

Collectors forget that with the large amount of figures revealed in a year, not every reveal is meant for us. We just had a million awesome Spider-Man figures, comic con is in a week. Maybe this box set was never meant for long time collectors.

What you talking about single joints on modern black series are amazing maybe because early examples were a bit ruff but I do recommend you give them a second chance.
Note I do think black series should have more figures with ult hands but not for everyone but definitely clone troopers and Jedi

I’m kinda sad with the morbius and six arm spidey reveal like as a spider-man fan I just wish this release was better the morbius should have been based off the animated series and spidey should have been a new mold and it should have had double ball set up like Peter b Parker would have worked better for torso movement he should have had all three set of hands for his costumed hand and then for the flesh hands he should have had open hand and wall clawing hands and maybe twipping hands even if doesn’t make total sense you could give them to your Peter Parker marvel legends for some photography.

Shooter's shoulders look really bad but with good posing, it won't be an issue. Overall she looks good. I will have to paint that Rifle though. Just plain grey looks so bad and cheap. I assume it will also be super gummy as it seems they are trying to save money by using the gummiest plastic for the weapons now.

I have to disagree with the Spider-man 2 pack..... so many of us jumped in after those figures were released and with this being exclusive it gives people like myself a chance to get em. . The star wars exclusive........ definitely going to buy several for the effects parts and hands to customize.......... AFTER it goes on clearance........they'll be 35% off before we know it.

We as a community have to fight back with our wallets honestly. I am not interested in any of these figures that are still in the coffin box packaging . Forcing me to open and inspect my orders. The price alone for RE USABLE figures is very disappointing and disheartening observing Hasbro and Disney plunge into the ground. I have also scaled back because they no longer stick to comic accurate characters. I actually wait for clearance and end of the years mark downs. Yesterday I picked up the entire Marvel Legends Controller wave all 7 figures for $8.00 a pop. What a find and I got a build a figure out of it.
Chuckles costs the same as Dr. Mindbender and comes with more accessories - who was the same price. Good luck finding him on clearance.

It looks like 2023 for Hasbro is the year of using old bucks & charging the most they can. The Terrax/Fallon 2 pack must of let them know its a bad idea, as in peg warmers. This is in response to Valerverse price drop. They are charging $110 for 3 figures. Can't think of any reason why Hasbro should retain the license to make anything. Decades old bucks, still using pin joints, lack of accessories. Top it off with stupid prices. That Joe female with the Jankie shoulders reminds me of the Toy Biz ball joints on their old DD. Not buying any at these prices.

I was digging that Force Unleashed pack until I heard the price, NOPE. Love that game but not worth it. I do laugh at the fan theory that says in the cartoon movie Chuckles was actually Snake Eyes cause he did not talk LOL. Then new Joes are kind of Meh to me. Mole Rat almost looks like he belongs in Eco Warriors minus the brighter colors. Shooter is an odd choice and getting some vibes of another companies character (I will remain silent LOL), I wondered when the Alley Viper repaints would start, not really up for this one (I have 3 of the original POC though)

Re releases of old figures as a 2 pack with a big increase in price. honestly there are toooo many spiderman and other figures that are same builds and slightly different head or eye shape and or color tone.. THey do it with a lot. Riot is just Monster venom painted blue, even the tendrils are in the same locations, just new paint and head. Hasbro is just flopping with figs lately and price hikes are abysmal. Im looking more at 3 zero, Mafex and others now. I swear the quality is much much better. Also anyone else notice how weak the figures are becoming, its slike soft plastic bendy material, hands and joints break with ease. attachments dont fit unless forced and then break. Back in the day, we had hard plastic solid built figures, now we get bendies with windowless packaging to save on plastic. Seriously...enough Hasbro...there are competetors that make better figs for the same or less. Great vid by the way, just needed a vent session.

Just have to say, the bonus figures from the Haslab are not free. They are part of the base offering, they will just release them if they get enough sales. They are not risking what those figures cost and handing it out for free. Basically, if they don't hit the tiers, you will get what you want but they are pocketing an extra $50 for figures that should have came with it. Just saying
That’s not how I look at it. If they were part of the base offering than we would get it from the start without worrying about backers to hit the stretch goals. Base offers are guaranteed.
