  • On August 25th, 2022, arts administrator Wayne Brown sat down with OPERA America's President/CEO Marc A. Scorca for a conversation about opera and their life.
    Since 2014, Wayne S. Brown has served as president and CEO of Detroit Opera. Before that, he was director of music and opera for the National Endowment for the Arts, where he managed NEA grants for music and opera projects and directed the NEA Jazz Masters Fellowships. His previous roles include executive director of the Louisville Orchestra and assistant manager of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Brown is an emeritus board member of OPERA America.
