I would love to see a video on where you unbox the new phone then power it up and go through the initial setup (when do swap the sim card?) and THEN transfer the data. A REAL step by step process.

Thanks for this video. My mom just called me asking for help transferring her data to her new Samsung Galaxy A12. I have an iPhone and I’ve been with Apple for years now so I had no clue how to even go about doing that. But I have the type-C to type-C cable that she needs to get it done. I highly doubt that she has this app downloaded onto either of the phones though, so we’ll see how it goes in a few hours when I see her.

i have an s10 galaxy , i just bought the fold 6 , do i put my old sim card into the fold 6 and then transfer from a usb wire t o the new phone or do i leave my sim card in the old phone to not lose all my apps contacts etc. this is for sakitech

Hello, and thank you for your great videos. Did you really have success with transfering all data and options of every application you have ? On my side I had to redo a lot of apps options afterwards. The apps were installed, but the options i had setup were not taken into consideration.

Apparantly, and as expected, I screwed up and have been doing so for 4 hours. Will gladly watch your video tomorrow; as of today, I would wind up smashing up my brand-new S24 with my bedside hammer instead. Why isn't there a simple way to do this, for GS?

No you dont have to do that .. new phones can open wifi and also receive data by USB cables without a SIM

I just got my new note 20 5g. Problem: SIM card slot doesn't allow my SD card. Problem: my new phone won't open to install Smart Switch. Is there a slot card for my note 20 to hold both sim and sd cards? I found your video 100% wonderful.

samsung a12 to samsung s24 plus process for me. So I didn't have wifi so kept the sim in my old phone and used hotspot to power the new phone on wifi, turned on my new phone and put the cables in first to link the phones. I did try to download the smart switch app from the play store but said not compatible, so on my old phone pressed setting and scrolled down to smart switch and it downloaded it to my old phone, then it is like the youtube video. I found it easy and hard at the same time, the s24 plus did ask me if i was going to put a sim in from another phone i said yes and let me carry on, so i would recommend leaving the sim in the old till the transfer was complete. The results were amazing in one way, all my apps were exactly where i wanted them, but it also took about 2 hours to log in to my apps.

You can save in their own cloud with samsung account and download from the cloud, IF Android 1-4, I guess should use the third choice to transfer the data to new phone.

Male sure both phones are connected to a single wireless network, open the smart switch app and click wireless transfer i think and that should do it without using the USB cable
