Wow. Those party tiles are ridiculous. Just random actions that would detract from the game play.
i like that the letter tiles are black and white, rather than the scrabble coloring so its more visually distinct. so getting this, ill just chuck out the party tiles cus none of those sounds fun lmao.
We saw what you did there with the words, Tom...Nice throwback, and I'm happy that you are having fun even with bad reviews
The "party" tiles are just dumb. Make the game worse, unless you've been drinking liberally.

If you like Scrabble and you play with others who like Scrabble and love to spell it's a blast. I don't use the party tiles. I got this version because I like the white letters on black tiles.
I agree. I love the black tiles plus the letters are huge. You can just add one or two party tiles like the steal or bomb just to make it more fun. But i wouldnt use the flamingo or as banana hat. All of our friends only played this first time the other day and we are mid 30s. We had a blast. We didn't even expect one of our friends to even win at this. 🤣
@@manuandgilaplayhouse ingenious! I was guilty of thinking black & white & was about to not bother getting this game & never thought to just use the *some* of the party tiles!
I guess another idea is to make up your own meaning to tiles like the flamingo and just make the game to your own tastes!
Why do they a score value on the letters???
I've played banana grams quite a bit. Love it but this game will only be fun if everyone that is playing has about the same skill level. Really it's a great game for word gamers but anyone that doesn't really care for word games I can't see liking. This party aspact seems stupid, it's a definant pass for me.
Anyone know if there are there any meaningful differences between Bananagrams, Appletters, and Word-a-melon? It's all the same company, and all i see is a bunch of letter tiles in a fruit-pun themed package.
The normal version good for younger people. That or just play Scrabble.
