    Hi just got the e-fix 35 on my Action 3 wheelchair. First impressions are it's smooth and powerful.
    Only thing is it tips backwards on the anti tippers really easily. My previous wheelchair was a quickie tango and I never experienced that, it was really stable and even 10 cm kerbs were no issues.
    Anyone got any suggestions? Maybe the anti tippers are set wrong or maybe there's some other power setting. Any advice much appreciated

      Yes, you need to change the centre of gravity if you find the chair is often tippy. Go to your local mobility dealer to get this done.

    Hi. Thank you for your video. I’m currently trying to find power assistance for my son’s wheelchair (which will be attendant controlled). On your video at 2:52 mins you say “you can put off road wheel on the back” could you please clarify, do you mean switch the tyres on the E Fix? We want something to use on all types of terrain, not just pavements etc. Thanks again

      Hi Zoe, thank you for your question. To be honest you don't actually need off road wheels on this. It's off road enough! It will do most things you need including rough terrain, gravel and a small amount of sand.

    Hi, how do the e-fix wheels deal with stopping (especially downhill)? Do they do regenerative braking?

    • @wheelchairgeek
      @wheelchairgeek  7 місяців тому +1

      Yes. Thank you for your question. The braking is second to non. Best braking system I've seen on any chair!

      Best braking system I've seen on any powerchair or add-on ever!

      that's great to know! ordering them this week (my bank account is snarling quietly in the corner) - been using e-motions but my eds is making my ribs hate self-propelling now

      There is a youtuber on here with EDS who compares using a pushing device to the Alber. She concludes with the Alber. You need to be careful with pushing if you have EDS for sure!

      @@wheelchairgeekI've had the e-fix for a week or so now and (barring a period where I just got a covid booster and got knocked flat by it) it's amazing being able to get to places and not be exhausted and sore by the time I'm there! My only gripes so far have been with the controller unit - the max speed dial is on the right side only, which makes it really awkward to use if you're left handed. And the centre of gravity is quite far back, so I have to remember to lean forward when going up kerb ramps etc. Otherwise it's a good time, and I'm about to see what it's like with the speed upgrade for the first time later today :).

    What is the range/distance you can cover?

      Hi Christoff. Thanks for the question. Sadly the e-fix 35 battery will only do about 10 miles but the batteries last about 5-7 years depending on usage. Many people buy two batteries and there is an upgraded version for stouter people with a bigger battery pack.

    Say 'no' to vertical recording. Just curious...was this your first recording? I have some tips if you'd like. Great place for recording though.

      Na. It's just my son with autism recording. Im not serious about having a UA-cam channel. Just started the channel as I was fed up of buying rubbish second hand chairs and thought I would out my experiences to some use. Thanks though. These are old and I'm done with filming now.
