Alber In-service Twion Emotion and E-Fix

I have had the E-Fix e25 for almost 7 years now. And it has been THE best and only option for me. I have type 3 Osteogenesis Imperfecta and through my teen years had a manual chair. However I broke my arm back in 2016 and can no longer viably push myself in a manual chair. (The e25 also being too hard to push anyways. The e35 sounds incredible.) I don;t have a specialized vehicle or a large house and honestly? Thats why I love this option. It gives me the freedom and independence of a power chair and making it possible for me to actively use it without needing a vehicle with a lift.
I'm very much on a limited income and rely on my elderly grandmother and my wife to handle me... Sadly, My e25 has started to fall apart and insurance won't cover to repair or replace it. It randomly comes to a solid halt with a loud solid beep, locks up and requires me to turn the chair off, rock a bit in my seat and then turn it back on. Sometimes it starts back up, and only goes a few inches before doing it again. Wash, repeat. And others it just won't come back on at all. It's even caused me to injure myself by stopping so suddenly (I have a hurt knee now from it. The reason i'm in a chair is for brittle bones after all) And has also put me in dangerous places with no way for me to move. (In a parking-lot, middle of the street, in a tornado warning outside)
I'm desperately trying my hardest to get Medicaid to buy the e35 with a new frame with little luck. I'ts been a long hard battle and... I hope someone sees this. This isn't to knock on the alber line of products at all by the way* The e-fix line is a godsend for me and about the only way I can gain a quality of life that I deserve. That everyone who's in a situation like mine should have. I'm not sure why... I just needed somewhere to post this and maybe hope someone out there could give me direction on what to do or some way of helping. I'm honestly at the end of my rope with trying to get a replacement. Just last week my battery clip also failed and this thing is pretty much being held together with duck tape, chewing gum, string, and a plastic bag.

Did you get sorted out kinda sounds like the electrical connections on the wheels needs cleaning with contact electrical spray it’s stuff u get in a can like wd40

@@piee683 I did! The e25 was borked. Not the connectors, something was cracked causing a loose connection and insurance would not touch it for repair.
HOWEVER! I finally got the e35 at the end of 2020! Weirdly enough? Had to RMA the wheels the week of getting it for some fault causing an error. Then several months later... it did the same thing as the 25. THIS TIME, however, that's exactly what it was. Dirty connectors. It happens from time to time. And it usually gets sorted right, just cleaning the connectors up. Usually only happens every 4 or so months, a quick clean, and it's right again. I dunno if the 25 can be salvaged at this point, but part of me hopes it can, wherever we stored it... Love Alber products, but man, I hate how finnicky it can be. I have had the odd error here and there, with no real cause I could find. But a reset or power cycle usually solves it. I hate the US version of the E35 also has bluetooth disabled with no app support... I wonder if anyone has a way to unlock it?

I love my efix 35 just wished it didn’t add any extra width onto the chair and this has also put me off trying the twions

I miss that noone showed them driven by a person ! So one can't see the differences on the go but that's where it's to be seen and one can get a feeling for which is the right for the common user. Makes me sad!
